Flash Challenge with Louis Parkinson, Hannah Morris and Josh Rundle
hello, can you share the Monday climbing gym with me, i saw some cool roofs there. i want to pin it in my google maps
I feel like somebody could easily make fun and quirky video edits with Sofya lol. Random noises when she makes funny faces. Not unlike leanbeefpatty or somethin' similar-ish.
c'est quoi cette acent parfait de malade mental jsuis jaloux
T es française ou américaine?
Thank you for being a climbing channel that doesn't exclusively have lo-fi hip hop in the background and way too much talking. This is exactly what I want :')
Another great video 👍
Always fun to watch you tackle these problems. The flashes are cool to watch, but the ones with more attempts are really the most interesting to me because it shows your process and how you progress on things that don't go immediately.
Impressive how many hard tries you're able to do in the same sesh!
sick video love the slam sesh ones the most! the finish hold to white looks crazy lmao if you miss with all those macro and volume beneath?! indoor climbing scarier than outdoors now 😅
Ahaha yeah didn’t even think about that but probs would have been fine 😅
Haha le français qui refait surface quand tu rates un bloc! Tu es française ? Accent anglais parfait !
Nan suisse! Mais parle anglais à la maison
Sofya: "Okay, I've found my issue... I've been trying to hold the holds"
😂😂😂
Very nice hand adjustment on the white overhang boulder! Cool and real videos, thanks!
This was recorded ages ago
Yes 😅
"Ich kan nicht" wondering what's your first language if you don't mind me asking ? I remember having a discussion with a guy in Geneva who was a Brit married to a Swiss Italian living in Geneva but having lived in Zurich before, and he said that his 3 kids all had different mother tongues and all basically spoke 4 languages by age 7. And having heard you now speak German on top of French and English, I seems like a similar-ish situation ? Good luck for the winter training and hope to see you in a bunch of World Cup semis next year !
Grew up speaking english with my parents, learnt french when i was young then german at school. But german isn’t fluent (yet)
nice sesh =)
da yokester
Holy moly shes a beast, Jacked as a super soldier too, hard work pays off
really unrelated question, i mean sort of. But do you speak swiss german ?
I think its French
Noo, i speak french but learnt hoch deutsch at school ahaha
Thanks for the video and for sharing, always nice content. I’m in Switzerland for 3 weeks. I wanna try all best gyms. I’ll try this one for sure, any other one you would recommend?
Bouba (boulder baden) is 🔥
@ thanks!!! It looks amazing, I’m gonna go tomorrow for a nice NYE training lol 🤩
Bouba is great just so cold so bring layers! There’s also grimper.ch Beaulieu in Lausanne and Totem Ecublens, Minimum Leutsch in Zürich, O’bloc in Bern!
Cool!
Last boulder was crazy; great send 😁👍🧗♂️
Thanksss 💪🏼
Just started bouldering. Thanks for your help
first
Thanks!
Thanks for the support 🙏🏼
As someone who has no intuition on slabs and needs to rely on thinking a lot, I definitely feel you🥲
Commenting because I appreciate your content, but man I hate slab
Is this filmed in log? Cause the colours are very bland and grey
Yee had some exporting issues
It's so fun and insightful to see your process on this boulder and how you've broken down the boulder into easier moves to then go back to the original version. Such a good video!
Yess i was lucky to have julien motivated to do this for me ahaha
Great video! Where can we watch the comp?
Hmm if you’re in the US, you can probably watch a replay of semis on the IFSC channel! Otherwise you’ll need a VPN and place yourself in the states.
nice video, can very much relate!! a great tip i learned from @richardsonsclimbing is, to point your thumbs downwards when spreading the arms like you did there. it rotated your arms and gets more weight near the wall, especially the shoulders. im too lazy to search the video where he goes over this but it has helped me a ton :)
I commented the same thing below! But my comment got hidden. Your comment is hidden too, and doesn't show up unless you change the comment sorting to be "sorted by newest first". I don't know why these comments are being hidden. My guess is that the comment contains a two-word-phrase about a finger and a specific direction that the finger is pointing, so maybe youtube considers it as a "negative comment" and then gets hidden by default.
Yeah… i don’t know why either, it’s annoying that that happens
I don't know why my earlier comment is not showing up unless you sort comments by new.
@@RotFaf i don’t know eitheeerr, i saw it in my notifications but it doesn’t appear…
@@sofya_yokoyama So weird! Someone else just made a similar comment and it is also hidden unless you sort by new.
Not as fun to train the weak spots as it is to train, what you are good at - but in order to get better, that is exactly what you need to do👍👍👍. Of course you will never get that particular slab again in a competition, but it represents/has nuances of climbing, you are currently not great at, and it makes great sense to use it for training. 👍👍💪💪👍👍
Yess exactly!!
the ending 😂
please send
I have some bad news for you ahaha
The ending was the best Lol
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems your external rotation could be the root of your issue here. It looks like after many reps, you were warmed up enough and could open your hips a little bit more, helping you out with the movement :). Anyhow, love the content :)
For sure think i have a problem there but also just can’t understand slabs as easily ahaha
@ It is so intricate 😫, but somehow I love the technical aspect of those climbs
We're with you 🫶
Finally some slab content😍😍
The best kiinddd ahaha
7:29 das war wohl deutsch 😂
Aren't Dragos quite soft for these tiny footholds? 🤔
Yes my toes were hurting soooo bad but i didn’t bring any other shoes ahaha
Appreciate the video, no shame in not sending! The color grading in the filmed sections seems very bleached
Ughhh i knooww it always looks so much better whilst editing then so bleached when i export 🥹 was too lazy to go back and edit it again ahaha
maybe a problem in the export options? definitely something to check for the next video!
It is so good to see the work and struggle that goes into doing a move that is hard for a person. I have these times where it feels that I’ve tried a move 200x and I think it only happens to me. Also a good reminder seeing you be so excited and positive when you made even very small progress.
You should try the "thumbs down on slab" technique that Zach Richardson has talked about. It is perfect for slabs like this. I can't link to videos in the comments, but it's on the Richardsons Climbing youtube channel. Look up the video titled "unreal psych with Alexandre Bernaud" and skip to 49 minutes into the video.
Ahh found it ahaha thanks for the tip, i’ll check it out!!
First
Bold of you to assume I train more than 3 days a week
The 8-12 rep range for muscle building is pretty old bro science. Newer research shows that for muscle building literally anywhere between 5-30 rep sets performs pretty much the same. So if you wanna gain strength and build muscle its best to just do your sets at the lower end, so 5 reps or so. (Since muscle gain is the same between 5 and 30 reps assumming both are trained to near failure). Of course if power endurance or endurance is the goal higher reps are also valid, talking purely about strength gain here.
That first dyno was impressive, so much coordination and strength!
🙂👍
So brutal! Amazing 🎉🎉🎉
