Sir. I need to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Using your video, I just saved all of my phone's data COMPLETELY BLIND using your video as a template. A couple days, ago, my phone developed the dreaded black screen of death out of the blue. The phone was working but I couldn't see anything. We tried everything and so did the manager at the Verizon store. The screen is out. The company we have our insurance with couldn't guarantee they wouldn't delete everything when replacing the screen. I also had a screen lock but was able to get past that just by memory. I watched your video twice and got a good feel of where the pop up would be to allow access to my laptop. You have no idea how relieved and how thankful I am for your video! THANK YOU!!!!!

I was always able to do this with all my previous phones but it's not working with this phone (Samsung S21 Ultra) for whatever reason. When I plug in the cord, the PC doesn't recognize that anything's been plug in via the USB port. Instead, the phone starts to charge as if a charger was plugged in. What am I doing wrong? Please help!
For those who used a regular USB to USB C cord to try and transfer (I did this and it would only charge), I just changed to the USB C to USB C cable that the phone came with, it's black, and then plugged into the USB C input on my laptop, then it asked for permission to see the files on my phone. It wasn't allowing it with the regular cable.

The first time I do it my self it does prompt out allow or not..but then still it's not letting me to choose send files or not..

If you've done all this but Windows still won't properly transfer files to or from the S21, put your phone in AIRPLANE MODE, then try again. For some reason, MTP gets interfered with by the other connection protocols and causes errors. Clicking into Airplane Mode seems to solve this and allows file transfers. Don't know why, but it seems to help.
So, is it not necessary to find an eject button before you unplug the phone? Like, could data be lost by simply unplugging after you're done transferring photos?

I can open the folders from my phone on my PC, I see the DCIM folder, it's got my albums in there, but when I open the Camera folder, it says there is nothing in this folder. I am so frustrated, I've used EXACTLY this method to transfer successfully in the past, with the same cable, on the same computer, with the same phone, and now it's not working. Any tips??

Hello i am having problem transferring it kept on saying folder empty. i can see there DCIM etc but once clicked, nothing. This is so frustrating. Before your method works well bec i only have few vids and photos, but now it's massive! Can anybody help? Thanks
This technique used to work easily on my older Galaxy Note. However, with my new Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Plus , the transfer only works for the Camera & Downloads folders, NOT the Screenshots folder (for some inexplicable reason). While I have a bazillion images in my Screenshots folder (which show up on the phone), the laptop or Desktop File Explorer can't find them & says the Screenshots folder is empty. No images show up in the Screenshots folder when I look via File Explorer on the Laptop. I am perplexed! Ideas?
I am having the same problem right now, i wonder if it has to so with i used tons of file size already. Folder says empty too. SO DID YOU SOLVE IT?
Is it possible you are in the wrong folder? Is there a dupe folder somewhere?

I used a different USB cord and now the "USB options" shows up. Click it and you can allow transfer of files.

Hello, So I just want to transfer only the videos from my phone how can I do that ?
Tried this with folders (and sub folders) transferring to S21, process drops with no error message after a few minutes and about 2% of the total transfer done. Tried many cables incl. Samsung branded, none work. Any ideas please?

Super clear, but I have over 9K photos to transfer and it's not working for this situation. My Explorer gets frozen. It does work for a handful at a time... Do you have a recommendation on how to transfer a large quantity of photos?
Try transferring smaller photo bundles in one go. Keep increasing the size until it freezes up. Start again and stay below the freeze number

Your instructions did not work! Did not see any of what you said I would see. Did not see my Galaxy S21. You said slide my finger down the screen to see "allow ". Didn't see that anywhere. Why? Nowhere on my Windows 11 do I see my galaxy S21. What am I missing?
It’s your transfer cord… I had to change 3 cords to get it to work. Also your phone screen needs to active.

How do you safely remove usb c from Samsung Ultra 22 ?
I have selected and copied and pasted all the folders in DCIM off my samsung s21 Ultra, but i cannot open the files on my computer it says the file is unsupported or the file is corrupted.

I have downloaded some video clips to my phone from messenger, but I cannot find them in the DCIM folder, where else can I find them, thank you.

The process went well. I had all my photos and videos in folders. When I opened Internal Storage ( on the video this was named phone ) the folders were all there and named, but the folders were empty. Everything seemed to work..... but no content in the folders? Can anyone help?
Just leave it plugged in and wait 5 minutes or so if I have a ton of footage. If no go change usb/ports and/or cable

What do you do if your memory is maxed out but when you click on dcim to camera it says the folder is empty and will not allow you access to move anything?
I would wait like 5 minutes until it loads since u have full memory. or try diff cable/port

@@michellebowen9366 leave iit plugged in and keep checking every 10 minutes or so. Or u can transfer all footage to ur sd card.

Yea there’s several way without the cable. Easiest fastest way probably is to move all photos vids to sd card then take out sd card and insert into computer.
hi the issue im having is when i connect my s21 ultra to my windows lap top and navigate to my phone video files i drag that single video to my new folder then try to play it all it plays is audio and no video just a black screen. ever since i got my s21 ultra it wont transfer the video just the audio for some stupid reason. i use to do plenty on my old phone with out any issue. any help would be appreciated thanks
Hmmm… plug ur phone in computer then wait 15 mins then try transfer again.

@@WorldofTech well i gave that a go left it for 20mins also tried other usb cords and still nothing must be my old lap top cant cope with the modern phone but it will transfer the photo's but not any video. great cheers for your help anyway
It doesnt ask me to allow access and in turn, I don't see my samsung s21 on my computer.
Why does it never work as shown on the video. My cell and computer keeps jumping very second as if the connection is breaking. Nothing pops up on the screen like seen on the video. I am using Windows 11 maybe that is the problem. Any help is appreciated.

Do you have to use a cord? I mean honestly i just email them to me from my phone to the same email and then just save to computer to be honest lol. Just looking for a different way but i use wireless chargers so i dont have a cord rn. Trying to transfer a lot so this does help, thanks

@@bakhtiyarmendybay I was with Samsung support a couple days ago. They said they know it's an issue and they plan an update to fix. But no update has been made yet. So I don't know if they really meant it.

It doesn't work on my S21. When i connect my cable it only charge. No pop up or anything. And the cable can transfer files on my other phones.
Go to settings / about phone / software information. Then tap on the "Build number" 7 times. This will enable developer mode. Go back to settings, scroll to the bottom and you should see "Developer options". Click on that and scroll down and enable USB debugging. Reboot the phone and try to connect to the PC.
