Just throwing it out there: Great Clips sponsoring the 38 Busch series car and sponsoring dirt cars made me exclusively go there to get my haircut
It's crazy how many companies you'd never think of sponsor dirt track cars! Jack Link's beef jerky used to sponsor the entire Badger indoor midget series!
@@myphone7568 I think Great Clips were sponsoring Kasey Khane's WoO team with Brad Sweet if I remember correctly
Sorry to hear that.
@@deaf2819 ? You don’t like great clips?
@@neospoilershow2708 hell no, I’m black though & still have my hairline.
Can't even outrun the popo, thought he could make it in NASCAR smh
YES ANOTHER NASCAR BUSTS VIDEO!
I've got a new career for Tyler Walker called demolition derby
That 38 car was legitimately cursed. Kahne retired early due to concussions/illness, Shane Hmiel is in a wheelchair, Tyler Walker is the subject of this video because of drugs, Jason Leffler died in a dirt racing accident, Christian Elder died of an overdose.
Well there’s always Elton Sawyer.
@@jaxonjaxoff3291 and fellow bust Brad Sweet
@@blueberry-bananasundae But it seems that Sweet has broken the curse for the moment
@@DixytheGoat9 it won’t be too long before the curse strikes again though
Also it was cut several times from EA's NASCAR games in complete, drivable state. It has been found lurking in NT2004 (along with the infamous Tony Raines car) and NASCAR 07.
How can we forget about the high speed police chase?
The WHAT?
A lot of people don't really know how hard NASCAR actually is without asphalt experience I guess
Everyone thinks it’s a bunch of Morons going in circles other forms of Motorsports recognize the skill it takes to drive that way

A lot of this video makes me wish that Dodge was still in NASCAR.
Good thing it's still in xfinity
@@jinglejackdingle9823 I mean it’s not really tho, last time it raced in xfinity was 2018
@@ajf226 I saw Timmy hill have one a couple months ago
@@jinglejackdingle9823 Nope, last race they were allowed was 2018 Homestead.
Now wait a damn minute. So you're telling me Jeremy Mayfield wasn't the only driver of the #36 360 OTC Toyota for Bill Davis Racing to be suspended indefinitely by NASCAR over a substance abuse violation? That's a weird coincidence, especially when you consider that their mutual sponsor was a producer of pain meds and alertness-aids.
They were sponsors of WrestleMania 23 too. Not only they didn't pay both WWE and BDR (and World of Outlaws), it also led to a post-Benoit steroid crackdown (although the Benoit deaths turned out to be caused by mainly CTE).
Almost every time you do a NASCAR bust video, it's someone we've never heard of before.
Pretty interesting
When it comes to the 2011 Kings Royal, Sammy Swindell was actually the driver that blew a tire on the final lap.
I hope that Tyler went to therapy to address these problems with substances and his demons
@Dryver Dothage it's not that no one will touch him. He's on doctors orders not to due to concussions sadly
Still cant believe he once had a meltdown and Tupac’s brother was the one who helped him calm down.
Another driver that wasn't just meant for Stock cars and was more of a dirt racer.
Like Steve Kinser and JJY who was rushed by Gibbs
Don’t forget Bryan Clauson as well
Not 2 mention Erin Crocker (later Evernham),BTW!!
@@joboots007 there’s been a lot to try it for a race of two and unless you think it’s odd to hear about it
Sammy swindell did trucks for a minute back in the day
BFM has done so many of these now that he's getting into the guys I've never even heard of.
You obviously were not following racing when this guy was around, for a moment he was being touted as the next big thing.
I remember when Ratbag made him so good in World Of Outlaws Sprint Cars 2002 because he was sponsored by Ratbag Racing. He wasn't quite THAT dominant in Sprint Cars and he especially wasn't in NASCAR.
I'd love to see a video on Shawna Robinson's career. Not quite a bust and had a few decent moments
What are the odds that two drivers who raced with 360 OTC sponsorship ended up being suspended for substance abuse.
360 OTC also didn't pay any of their sponsorship deals (Bill Davis Racing, WWE for WrestleMania 23, and World of Outlaws). They did gave WWE hood sponsor time w/ their WM23 sponsorship though.
_NASCAR Bust: Tyler Walker_

Tyler Walker messed up his leg doing a Carl Edwards? Yep... not good
Carl was doing a tyler walker...

One of the most naturally gifted racers ever, just couldn't keep himself clean and it ruined his career, in both NASCAR and sprint cars.
Seems like a trend…
It’s really neat to learn about these drivers I’ve never heard about before. I got a suggestion I’m sure other people can agree on:
Championship Hangovers: Jimmie Johnson 2017.
You really need to do a vid where you look at that 2003 Truck Series finish. Absolutely insane, the gamesmanship involved.
To this day, Tyler Walker is the only driver in NASCAR history that I believe was suspended by NASCAR because of the drug policy *legitimately.*
Shane hmiel has entered the chat
Aaron Fike
Jeremy Mayfield
Since people are commenting others that have been suspended by NASCAR, I'll help further. In terms & comparisons to Tyler Walker:
- There were no physical issues that NASCAR didn't understand, like with Tim Richmond.
- There were no mental ailments that no one knew, like with Shane Hmiel (& Kevin Grubb the first time).
- There were no shenanigans from NASCAR against a driver suffering from a concussion, like with Kevin Grubb (The second time).
- Walker was caught by NASCAR & not an outside force (Ex. the police), like that with Aaron Fike.
- It wasn't a prescription combination situation, like with Jeremy Mayfield.
- It wasn't NASCAR overreacting without the proper facts, like with Tyler Dippel.
- Finally it sure as heck wasn't a coffee or energy drink of all things, like it was with Baylee Currey _(& no I'm not making that up)._
Tyler Walker was the only driver legitimately caught as the type of person the drug policy was supposed to keep out to begin with, & was caught by NASCAR & not something outside of the sanctioning body.
AJ Almendinger. Took something while not even knowing what it was, but being that stupid earns a suspension in itself, IMO.

@@IanTheMotorsportsMan_YT yeah I just found the can coozie. I think at my parents house I’ve got a tshirt or two from the car he was driving and one of them is autographed
If they would have put police lights on the other cars or his rear bumper, he probably would have won! Seems Im the only one here old enough to know who he is lol
Tyler Walker was one of the better sprint car drivers that I have seen over my 60+ years of watching sprint car racing. BFM doesn't mention that many of the sprint cars that he drove and won in were owned by Kasey Kahne - they were pretty good friends back then.
Far too many good, young drivers have ruined their career with drugs - such a loss to the sport.
All you NASCAR only fans like to point out the "busts". There are far more really talented race car drivers out there than there are good NASCAR teams for them.
Obviously he lost his sponsorship with Great Clips.. just look at his hair!!
So? Theyre just half assed dreads
Idk why Tyler Walker looks like a fusion between Kyle Busch,Sam Hornish Jr,and Young Paul Menard
I was hoping you would include the Greg Biffle sound bite after he was asked how did he win the race, the biff's answer was "Tyler Walker wasn't in it.". The week before Walker took Biffle out in a crash.
Nascar busts Chase Miller. By the way Tyler Walkers Nascar career was almost similar to Aaron Fikes, because of the drug related content.
I love this series!!!!
Love the NASCAR 06 music in the beginning
What's the name of that song?
10:51 with that haircut, yeah, he definitely did drugs.
How many of these crashes was he high... Better question how many was he not
The irony of the Deka sponsored car, a battery manufacturer, having difficulty starting.
Could you do a "Shenanigans of Rick Ware Racing" video please?
Good Season hangover SHR 2021
He can wheel a sprint car.
Still got his autograph from Charlotte 03 . My 1 cup race weekend. ( met him at the dirt race they had after the Busch. Coke 600 weekend)
First! Great vid btw
How could you say great video if this was uploaded 19 minutes ago, and this comment was 19 minutes ago…..
Did a better job driving away from the police than he did driving on the racetrack it looks like
If he was with a Hendrick or a Gibbs or a Roush, or maybe even an RCR I feel like he could've made a solid run at it.
Imagine him going up against Kyle Busch
#38 car Xfinity was a legend, rides for Ford, Dodge, Chevrolet and Toyota with the same sponsor, 3 different teams and Kasey Kahne driving this car 😁
Always sucks to hear a former California, L.A native not do well in NASCAR. Glad to hear he had a some what successful Dirt career though, hope he’s doing better today

Fun fact, my crazy uncle used to do backflips off his vehicle after winning a demo derby in the 80s.
Tyler, was the first driver I ever met. Came and did an autograph session in my hometown when I was a kid. From then on he was always one of my favorites. So sad to see what happened.

I can't remember the name of the show but I remember this tv series that followed the 38 Great Clips and other drivers including the team owner.

I believe Walker has done SOME sprint car racing since the whole ordeal went down. But nothing like he used to be that I've heard. Really only know the name from the old WoO 2002 game for the ps2. Interesting to hear that Kraig Kinser attempted some nascar stuff. Never really knew that
Kinser was a developmental driver for Ginn Racing for a year or two before that team folded & was absorbed by Dale Earnhardt Incorporated. If memory serves Kinser never made it above the Trucks but I could be mistaken.
@@gabepollock1641 Interesting... Thanks for the info man 👍
People said Menard was a pay driver, but you can see the difference in talent with how squirrely Walker got with a car just underneath him, while Menard carried on with barely a flinch even after Walker clattered him.
Good lord he was horrible. The footage was only like 12-15 years ago but it seems ancient lol 😅.
He’s a major drug addict and alcoholic. My good friend used to date him and he was always drunk. Wasted his talent.
He was a goat in sprint cars
I wonder how many nascar drivers could be successful in a four ten sprint car
Oh god, I was there in person when this dude started a fight in the Williams Grove pits...

Wow, if you think Sean Caisse was bad, this guy…is not worse than him. But he’s the Jeff Hardy of Motorsports (in other words, getting in trouble with the law.)
So basically a bust who wrecked every single week.
Or just a bust
So the male version of Danica Patrick?
He won a lot of races on dirt and was always competitive on dirt. Dude was a good racer.

People like Tyler Walker piss me off. I have tried to save money for YEARS to put together a dirt car but have 0 luck apparently. Meanwhile, some punk ass kid who actually had a lot of talent and got the chance threw it away for stupid reasons. Ugh
Yep I always want to drive Trucks in nascar kids make it then throw their talent away that's why I have a car mechanic as a backup job.
Sammy Swindell's tire blew. Tyler Walker has raced in California since then by claiming to be clean.... Draw your own conclusions on if he was.
I also believe he is banned from all dirt tracks in pa
Do Kyle Larson next
Great clips is awesome
I remember Tyler on those old TNN Motor Madness broadcasts in 1997 for the World of Outlaws.
who can forget the ratbag games number 10 from world of outlaws sprint cars 2002
For anyone curious, some of the information as of recent on Tyler Walker. In 2017, Tyler came to Pennsylvania to drive for that same 35 team that he’d driven for in that viral video with him and security. Sadly though, he injured his leg in a crash at port royal and missed the rest of that 2017 season. Then the report I heard was he went back out to California and retired from racing due to concussions, from what I heard the doctor said his injury history in racing with concussions and potentially with the drugs (don’t quote me with the drug history part), he’d be risking a lot if he kept racing and got hurt again. It’s a shame to see the roller coaster that was his career not go out on a high point, he was one of my favorite drivers, got a picture with him in 2017 and was such a damn cool guy to me as an, at the time, 15 year old kid.
It's incredible how many of these bust videos the drivers crash constantly instead of just being incredibly slow. I know he's not a bust per se but I always remember Marty Roth out there in Indycar just going for a Sunday drive
I took my 8 year old nephew to a World of Outlaws race at Devil’s Bowl Speedway the first year Tyler Walker ran full time with the Outlaws.:After the race we went to the pits to try and get the winner, Sammy Swindell, to sign an autograph. Sammy was kinda rude to my nephew so we walked down to Tyler’s pit area. Tyler was super nice to us and even picked my nephew up and had him stand on the rear tire for a picture. My nephew still remembers how nice Tyler was to him. I hope Tyler is doing well now and finds some good people to be around and finds something that makes him happy.
After that arrest and release, he actually ran sprint cars some more in PA and CA. He was running for a very prominent team in California in 2016 I think it was and at one of CA's biggest 360 sprint car races, he never showed up. The rumor was that he was having car troubles getting to the track, but the team couldn't locate him. The team packed up and left and another driver was racing for the team the next week. Then he went to PA and ran some out there but got hurt I think and haven't seen or heard anything from him since.
