Hello! What is your opinion on HBOT on concussions/TBI/CTE? I've seen people talk good things about mainly Dave Robinson, Joe Namath, (Retired NFL players), and I saw someone say good things about it on the Joe Rogan show.

Hey there! By and large the evidence for HBOT in concussion (mild TBI) is weak. When I say "weak," I mean that it doesn't make recovery all that much faster or better when compared to *quality rehab like sub-symptom aerobic exercise, visual/vestibular therapy, nutrition, sleep hygiene, etc... However, when we get into moderate or severe TBI (and possibly CTE) that's where the evidence & clinical/patient experience looks better.
*The problem is that most folks don't receive quality care (SSTE, visual/vestibular, cervical spine, nutrition, etc...), so they look to hacks like HBOT for concussion. The 40hrs of dives are far too expensive and time consuming when you consider an mTBI recovery should only take 21-30 days on average.
