The makers, the simplicity, the problems, the chaos in the unit, the cars that need much love and attention, the sound issues and all the lovely content of your videos: these are the reasons I'm tuning in every time there is something new on the HubNut channel. There are so many channels that are driven by perfection. Not yours! See you soon! Cheers --- Martin
Christ Swansea has changed a lot from my youth...used to go there 4 times a week when my dad was a lorry driver ...used to deliver to the Prince of Wales docks...the first time I drove anything was a Mercedes 814 around the docks at 3am...I was 14 years old...Good Times.
Enjoyed the NEC, nice to speak to you all. I concur that it is knackering setting up and manning a stall for the weekend. Some lovely seafood restaurants around Swansea now, Elpescador is great and Nishimura in Mumbles if you like Sushi. Definitely time to add another banger, sorry, Classic to the fleet 😀
I must admit, I do enjoy these short vlogs more at times than other videos on any of the channels. Much in the same way as the various travel vlogs, especially with all the _very serious_ content...it is videos like yours that provides a much needed respite! So thank you. :) Also, as a fellow long haired hippie, I'm happy for you that you're expressing yourself and damn the detractors. I was going to ask a question about the final intended length, but that feels impertinent on my part so I won't. :) Keep up the good work! :)
Haven't been to Swansea for years, nice place off the M4 down the A483. Bit of a long drive for me I'm at the other end of the A483 in Wrexham, Catch you soon on Hub Notes and Hub Nut, Take care
That's not a bad walk around there. You can carry on over the bridge across the weir and the lock gates into the marina and then along the promenade. I've never done it by night though.
TWC needs an oil light - if I remember the last video where you looked at this, and the measurements you took, it looks like there might be a high resistance somewhere between 12 volts + and the wire that goes to the switch - possibly a corroded bulb base or bulb holder, or a lousy connection somewhere else along that path. Apologies if you have fixed this by now. Looking forward to TWC's bodywork having some tarting up. Possibly. :o) Dave in SE Wales.
Mullets _are_ fashionable Ian! Have a walk around the centre of Manchester these days, they're everywhere. I got mine done 2 years ago, it was the first time my hairdresser had ever cut a mullet - now she does them all the time, it's become her specialty 😅 Yours is a particularly good example as well, i'm quite jealous. Suits you sir!
I thought this was going to be a Swansea collection caper 😄. It was good to meet you and later Idriveaclassic Steph last Saturday Ian. Giselle and Tina looked awesome.
Wise words from my youth in the Swansea area, I f you are at Mumbles and can't see the other side of the bay it is raining, if you can see he other side of the bay it is going to rain.
Suppose the driving test getting done will change things and the fleet will get more work done as you won't have to taxi as much. Any new cars still have to be yours as Ms H has her pride and joy all fixed.... for now 😊
I found that very calming. I love walking around a place like that at night when everyone else is seemingly indoors - therapeutic to the soul! Hair length/style not in the least bit relevant to your content by the way. I have (necessarily!) short hair now, but had it very long for many years and could never quite understand why it upset people! It's just a hairstyle for crying out loud!😂😂
You had the long hippy hair when I first started watching your channel. ;D, I also remember the video where you got it all chopped off.. Anyway keep bringing the great content.. Disappointed I wasn't able to make it to the NEC last weekend, would have loved to meet you but bank account said no..Fingers crossed maybe next year. :)
Absaloutly brilliant video ian ❤👍hope miss hubnut had a great night why ppl complaining about your hair your a car channel not a barbers channel what a lovely place Swansea never been but think I will now brilliant
I reiterate whats being said. This is a fantastic car channel nothing to do with hairstyles which if you think it looks good and suits you then thats all that matters. If anyone criticises then they have got problems and try to make themselves feel better where we all know they are sad idiots. All content that you make is supremely good and I enjoy all of it. So thankyou to Ian and Carly for their great dedication to entertain.
you were quite near the national waterfront museum at 3:10 there. there's also a tram museum had you just walked behind the neon-lit building. both well worth a visit. Swansea was home to the world's first passenger railway (horse drawn initially, then steam, etc.) before the council in their wisdom ripped it up in the 1960s 😞 new channel idea: HubHair? No? As you said, if people are sad enough to comment on your rather fine mop then it's they who have the problem. I'm nearly 60 now and my hair is the longest it's ever been 🙂 embrace the pony tail / top knot!
Hi ian it was great meeting yrself and carly , matt and steff last sundy at the nec . It was a gr8t show. Looking forward to future 2024 adventures. . My van is now covered in stickers from all of u .😂
I never plan anything, cos something or someone always comes along to muck any plans up, so, just go and do stuff as and when, cos planning's a PITA... :P
Wonderful night-time, walk & talk, thank you. 'Mu-lay', that made me laugh, so cheers for that. May I add an extra thank you for your top noth NEC videos, much appreciation. Perhaps, for a change, do a HuGrub video? Pre-seasonal, foodie vlog, hot chocolate or waffles or any other delights the local stalls have to offer? Here an idea! Good stuff👍
If you are interested in another small chassis triumph I have a gt6 Mk3 coming to the end of its restoration get in touch if that could be something of interest.
Great little vlog Ian, ignore the hair haters, not cut my hair in a few months and I seem to have a mullett too 😂😂 thankfully the Hubnut Beanie covers my messy hair most of the time!
Before you ditch the audio for the Vitesse review, perhaps try one of the AI based wind noise removal tools. A quick Google reveals a number of options...
The camera mic was actually ok when you turned it away. Also, perhaps you could release the Triumph video by showing clips and adding a voiceover instead - probably longer edit, probably not as good standard as normal, but much less time out of your life compared to repeating the whole test.
You started to talk about your hair but didn’t tell us any details! Are you going back to long hair or just doing a mullet? I’m all for looking like you want regardless of what the fashion or conventions are so go for it Mr Hubnut!!
Might be a bit hard for the owners of the P76 Targa Florio let you have it for a test, but if you did ... Is it impossible to cover a car from the passenger seat?
Doesn't really work I don't think but given the Targa Florio was really just a cosmetic thing, my test of a Leyland P76 in Tasmania should hopefully suffice. Day made with that one.
Well done on praising dolly but not so much her music. She deserves the praise. That said, Jolene is a very well written song. As for the hair; I have been quietly hoping it would grow long again but decided to keep it to myself. Both because it’s your hair and because I didn’t want to jinx it 😁. It’s going to be exciting to see what is going to happen to your manes.

HubNut in the dark. Some would say that's the best way to see him. I wouldn't dare make such a comment of course.

Loving the progress of the mullet.
Its your hair, if anyone has a problem with it tough. If you like it then that's all that matters.
another great video has always Ian and miss hubnut and hublets and hubmutts 👍
Enjoyed this wee Vlog, in so many ways.

Mullets are hugely fashionable at the moment, my 11 year old son has a meticulously styled mullet and im growing my hair out to get one soon!
I thought this was going to be a Swansea collection caper 😄. It was good to meet you and later Idriveaclassic Steph last Saturday Ian. Giselle and Tina looked awesome.
Mulet wrote some bloody good organ music. And mullets are cool. So all good on both fronts. 😊

You should have called in for a cuppa, I’m literally five minutes from where you were

Also very near the university I go to 😅
I was going to ask, does Miss HubNut know you're in Swansea at night ... ? 😏
She was at the cinema. In Swansea.
Darn it, thought this was another collection misadventure! Nice update though
A nice change from cars❤

Hello from Australia, have you forgotten to do a road test of a Subaru Brat/Brumby or are they hard to find in the UK,cheers.
Cheers. Very rare here but I do know someone with one. Will try and make that happen in 2024.
All good. Your hair has nowt to do with anyone. Your mullet is looking resplendent.I May copy you
I think we should all copy him as hubnutters, though I suspect with a lot of us, it will be a case of sporting a skullet!!🤣🤣
@@2760ade Skullet! Simply brilliant. Gold star for you 😂😂👊🏻

Did give it a go but didn't help much. Found a solution and it'll be live tonight.
Your content is always good

I've been looking forward to the Vitesse vid cos I bought one a few months ago and wanted to see what you thought of them!😭
You started to talk about your hair but didn’t tell us any details! Are you going back to long hair or just doing a mullet? I’m all for looking like you want regardless of what the fashion or conventions are so go for it Mr Hubnut!!
Not sure what I'm doing. Don't want long hair again though.
@@hubnotesExcellent go with the flow. Thanks for the reply
Business up the front, party at the back
I've got a number 3 all over 😊 well on the bit I have left....
Great video Ian 😊👍

Tinkering times back 🤔🪛🛞🔧🛠🤓
We have jobs planned.
👍👍👍
The hair haters can get stuffed.
The best thing you did mate is get rid of the hippy hair!!! Respect👍
Did you see my daughter she lives there ? I haven’t for 2 months, big changes my end ☹️. I like some of Dolly’s work.
AY UP MR HUBNUT
MY LAD HAS A MAHOOSVIE MULLET TAKE NO NOTICE ITS YOUR THATCH BUDDY....
If you don't like your hair cut it will grow on you
Hi Mr hubnut
Growing the hair seems to be self-destructive in terms of clicks. Appears to be an odd decision to me, but it's clearly your choice.
I didn’t even notice 😂
If people are that horrified, they're welcome to leave.
Mullets are back ,even my 18 year old is considering one, so you’re bang on trend Ian, good lad 👍
I realise TWC is old and needs some preventative maintenance.
Don't give her too much plastic surgery though.
She's lovely the way she is.
Absolutely. Full Resto is not what we are after. But she does need the fibreglass sorting in places before she deteriorates further.
