Nice drive guys.
You took it steady and safely.
There are too many nutty emergency drivers out there.
good code 3 driving!
beautiful bus
Not a bus
Cool!
okay, thanks!
@koolpeople1 No its the driver and passenger who are the Medics he only goes for ride-alongs.
good grief, that hospital's far away
they are Custom rigs, the ones around where i live are all built on "International" chassises
Great video!
So is this basically how it works?: On the way from the station to the patient's location the lights and sirens are activated but on the way to the hospital, if an emergency trip is warranted, the lights are always on but they just use the sirens when the traffic gets heavier? lol i just always noticed that that's how it seemed to happen around here
is it not law in your state to run sirens if you're running lights
@adam022695 You can say what you want, however, you will never be able to change a thing. When it's you or your family member in the back of the ambulance, and say its very serious, the driver goes Code 1, do not yell at him or her okay? The officers make decisions based on the incident whether it's deemed as right or wrong in the public eye. If his or her boss says go Code 2, they will. Its a decision made. More or less, you make a big deal over the pettiest issue. And yes... end of story.
@ABrecords---driver or passenger can control it
Our insurance on our trucks doesn't cover code 2 traffic so it's code 3 or nothing at all
the ambulance in front has a q
Federal Signal Pa300?
Are those.... people.... pulling OVER??!?!?!?!
*gasp* No way!
@adam022695 If they are on Code 2.. then no. Code 2 response is with lights and some siren but also with lights and silent.
@CrAvEdIgItAlRaDiO Um actually it is a moving violation to be moving with lights on and no siren. Look it up :)
No? Where TF do you live?!
hey i live in Charles county
Charles County what?
Nothing new ?
I'm currently trying to set up a ride a long with a local ambulance company here in Maine called Capital Ambulance. I'm really interested in the job but the only part that I would have trouble with would be Puking. I can deal with just about anything but that. How the hell does it not make you guys want to heave as well. God I want this job though. So glad community college has an EMT course.
Endangering lives further isn't the job of the EMS...
What?
thats what you call not overusing the siren! i dont understand when firetrucks and other emergency vehicles use the sirens when they are not needed... its anoying to both the driver and the neighbourhood for no reason
@CrAvEdIgItAlRaDiO sorry but there's no reason to break the law and put the community at risk for 1 person. Its you your partner the/community then the emergency end of story
Break the law? How?
perhaps the next time you insult someone about spelling, you should check your grammar. DUDE!
You guys drive slow as fudge! You guy's need to go back to probe school and learn how to drive an ambulance because it's a matter of life and death and you guy's are driving like grandmas and using no sirens. I can tell you guy's response time sucks. Here in Florida we drive fast as heck, well above the speed limit when responding, 75 mph is the lowest we go! Who ever's filming you need to start going on ride along's with the fire department paramedics!!
Well you got to think that ambulance did a heavy truck
