Ich habe mich auch gewundert, wo ich die Beschreibung gelesen habe...
Anscheinend ja schon (wusste ich vorher auch nicht), aber davon gibts dann nur wenige... War letztes Jahr auch nochmal in den USA und habe dort mit einem Firefighter gesprochen und dieser meinte, bei ihnen gibt es nur Berufsfeuerwehren (1 Wache ist dort in der Regel mit 6-8 Leuten besetzt).

Here in PG county all you have to do is look up the firehouse you want to run with and sign a waiver and your good to go
You usually have to know someone on the dept. who can get you the "ok", but it varies depending on the dept.

I see that you have those roll up doors like a lot of places have so I was just wondering if I may ask you a question please, I used to work in a building that had one of these push button roll up doors, I dont know if yours are the same kind, but if they are, they have a BIG Spring at the top of them and I remember that where I used to work at the time, the spring actually broke, so they couldn't make the door open or close with it broken, so my question is, if yu have the same kinds of doors, what would you do if this did happen and the Rig you needed to use for a call couldnt get out because the door wouldn't open? Just curious to know, Thanks........

"aber davon gibts dann nru wenige"? Es sind zwar im Prozentsatz bei weitem nicht so viele Feuerwehrmänner bei ner FF wie in Deutschland, aber es sind immernoch ca. 71%, und das sind ja wohl nicht grad weniger

Joah... Unser system würde ich aber nicht ganz als "Stay&Play" bezeichnen... Eher als "The Golden Hour", also, dass du innerhalb von einer Stunde beim Patient bist, ihn Vor Ort stabilisierst und ebenfalls innerhalb der Stunde in der Klinik ablieferst... Die Stunde ist logischerweiße nicht immer einhaltbar aber man kann sich daran orientieren :D

Die meisten Medics sind sogar mit freiwilligen besetzt.Da die Besatzung keine weitreichende Ausbildung benötigt wie wir in Deutschland.Die haben ja das Rettungssystem load&go und wir das Prinzip nach stop&play.Die erhalten da ne kleine Einweisung ins fahren und eine EH-Kurs.Während meinem Studium konnte ich im Ausland arbeiten und die Leute waren darüber verweundert als ich ihnen erklärte wie wir arbeiten.^^
Ich selbst fahre nicht im Rettungsdienst mit, bin allerdings beim DRK Ehrenamtlich aktiv. Einige Bekannte von mir fahren auch Hauptamtlich im Rettungsdienst und da bekomm' ich viel mit. Habe allerdings vor in 1-2 Jahren in der Notfallhilfe mit zu arbeiten und an Wochenenden evtl. auf dem RD zu fahren.

Das ist ja das Prinzip vom Stay&Play.Aber der wichtigste Unterschied zwischen USA und Deutschland im Rettungsdienst ist ja die Überlebensrate der Hi Patienten.In Deutschland ca 90%,in den USA 5%.Deren System ist einfach besser ausgeklügelt.Fährst du des öfteren im Rettungsdienst mit?

Ive done ride alongs with a little bit of siren usually its loud because people tend to keep the windows down for air and when there up its a little noisy in the front but back you can barely hear but that depends on what ur riding on though

it's a ALS unit wich is made for advanced life support such as trauma bad mva etc and are very reliable

Why would you stop for a red light? You must have really bad drivers in your area.
Because its illegal to run red lights. even when running code 3 we still have to stop at red lights. you cant just blow through them, thats how accidents happem
@@AirsoftFD that changes state to state in the US, it's usually common sense that is the factor creating the stops.
Some departments don't allow it either.
