GTA's drivers respect much more the ambulances, police cars and firefighter cars.
Carlos A. Wdym people let the amb thru
Lol not really the ambulance'll just plow through em
Bru they fucken brake check me if I’m in a emergency vehicle with sirens on
@@louism.3435 That's GTA V right?
@@trulux8395 lol duh
The reason they are "playing" with the siren is so it catches peoples attention easier. also it may be the sequence they were using at the time
+Police Officer Sam You're supposed to change the tones to get peoples attention, not just keep spamming the air horn
***** Different services do it differently. Our station does this here. SO its just a matter of the driver. If the driver feels it'd be better to spam the airhorn then they can do so. We have no driving protocols saying we aren't allowed to and that we are supposed to change tones to get attention. Changing the tone doesn't do nearly as much as spamming the airhorn. I do agree they did do a bit of overkill but like i said its at the drivers discretion
bob smith And why am i a prick for merely answering a common comment on the video
***** Also how long have you worked as a First Responder? Because i'm pretty sure none. I've been working as a First Responder for 30+ Years
+Police Officer Sam I was wondering why the siren played funny in certian times.. I thought the Ambo Driver was honking the horn to get everyone's attention
I see all these people commenting on how reckless the EMT is driving and how the drivers are responding... Welcome to New York Cupcake, its how we drive, if you can't handle it move outta the way..
and that was a mild cruise through the heart of midtown. Tried to keep bus steady for the cameraman =) normally in those days we'd push it much harder.
Please stay in New York
Respect to that Van who moved for the Ambulance.
*Runs a frikin red light*
Nice miss at 1:10 - WOW!!!
Taxi Drivers are the AIDS of every USA city. Mentally retarded ogres.
Should never be that close with cross traffic... always the drivers responsibility to make sure its clear
Just when you think there's no way to get through the traffic, they somehow keep moving. Gotta hand it to these guys; they really know what they're doing.
Much respect to those NYC ambulance drvers running hot all day everyday day every call .
That NYC city bumper to bumper traffic puts hair on your chest in a short amount of time and really hones your EVO driving skills. Love these vids.
That's crazy that cab at 1:09
can you possibly drive a huge ambulance in any tighter spaces. Props to this guy lol
NYC must be the ultimate place for siren use. they should have competitions lol
Nice Marlboro reds on the dash!
1:07 it sure was close and it woke me up. nice driving
My old man worked at the Helmsley Hotel. Nice. Great job
Holy shit, that cab driver... Wow.
I don't understand. As far as I could tell, all the cars were making way for the ambulance. Every car pulled over as far as that was possible and incoming traffic on crossings were standing to let the ambulance pass by. I was linked to this video with a comment on how badly the drivers react to an emergency situation.
TrixiLovesYou it’s good, but not better than Germans. That’s probably why
Great video, fantastic driving!
I love this video !
siren work=AMAZING!!! Nice safe driving also keep it up
Nice ride along!
More lights and much louder sirens
great vid...I love the use of sirene by the NY guards
That may be the case where you're from, but in New York state the paramedics can write down the license plate and the registered owner will be ticketed; the owner is responsible for certain things that other drivers do in their car (i.e. don't lend your car to a bad driver!).
And even if it isn't the law, you don't know what's going on in that ambulance, so why not just get the hell out of the way?
Those ambulances look like they can bring the whole hospital over to the scene.
I was scared just watching this!!!!! Mad skills to be able to drive an ambulance in NYC!!!
1:09 defiantly made my heart jump! Its weird watching this unit "Push traffic" Where I work we are not allowed to. I guess you have no other option in NYC! Mad props!
That cabbie should have had time to stop. He just chose not to. Seems like the als with lights and sirens on would have been heard long enough. Probably have to drive defensively to get through NYC traffic
Thanks for uploading :) Great video! :)
Gotta love that sea of Crown Vics
Beautiful town, love to see it someday!
my ems squad has them on two of our rig and we love them!!
Nice video
Looking at this video, the traffic looks terrible, it's like everyone is completely oblivious of their surroundings, it's like they don't listen or react, and when react they react bad lol
Nice driving in that heavy traffic!
Greetings from the Netherlands
Incidentally, I had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance today. I was stung by a bee and am highly allergic. I had my EpiPen but that only buys a person 15 to 20 minutes (i.e. enough time for an ambulance to get to you). They took me to the hospital lights and sirens and everyone pulled over quickly and efficiently, nobody sitting in front of the ambulance acting like a five year-old going "I'm not moving because I don't have to."
This driver rocks, damn good driving
driving through this was fun...damn i miss it
great one
*01:10** REAL HOLY SHIT :O*
...I'm not even going to waste my time with this. I've met some narcissists in my life, but you, sir, take the cake.
Awesome video.
WOW that was a close call.
I could never do that there, sitting/waiting in traffic would kill me.
i like that challenging traffic
@ 1:07 me and a coleuge ended up in a simular situation in sweden with a truck there a bicicle came from our left with out a care in the world going through the intersection and i said what the paramedics said. But that is common in my town
love your'e videos keep em comming
Welcome to Liberty City HD universe
What I don't understand is how traffic is more cooperative with other EMS units but when it comes to FDNY EMS, traffic don't give a rats ass to move
I LOVE NYC AND THE FDNY !! 5*
Damn that's what a call a old video
it must be hell for u guys driving through that. u guys must have alot of calmness in u.
Get More LED Lights, Rumbler, Martin-Horn, Pushbar, 2 Spotlight, Q2B With Higher 24 Volts, Airhorn, & K3HA Train Horn.
holy crap it must b the biggest headache in the world being an ambulance or firetruck driver in nyc!
That siren sucks for being in the usa. great driving!!
Awsome!
Wow i just heard my unit designation over the radio
if they had a clear strait stretch the whole way there it could have been like one a minute response time
What a way to start your ride along lol😂
The sad thing is that ambulance was probably less than a mile and due to the horrible traffic there is nothing they could have done
nice to see it from inside
hope not to lay in the back ever
thanks from the netherlands
karlyohare the ambulance has the right of way because he was running lights and siren.im a firefighter and i know about this stuff.plus people in new york city need to know how to move out of the way.
yea i would think alabamas a breeze! im in bergen county, NJ and when theres heavy traffic its just like nyc... thankfully im not planning on driving one of trucks when i join rescue
they were half way through it and they took their time that taxi had a green light but that ambulance was there with plenty of time for the taxi to stop
@nycems311234 y`re so right ! :-) but I`ll never get tired after so many years driving the fire rig in NYC
OMG what a traffic!!!!
holy shit straight crosstown all through midtown..
Some of the THICKEST traffic (peds AND cars) I have ever seen in my life--welcome to NY I guess
Nico says " YELLOW CARRRRR "
underrated comment
1:10 - lucky guys. could end bad. take care guys.
Having fun with the siren, aye?
guys i was like " wow this guys is driving so slow betwen intersections" -> 1:10 nevermind, fuck me.
i've never seen so many damn taxis in my life! i dont understand how y'all can live in cities like that damn
Madre mía de dios yo quiero estar allí de guardia que guuuuapo joder
Notice the RTS TMC bus
sad thing is that wasn't rush, during rush hour you cant move, even with lights and sirens.
@DesertEMT well that's true. why does taxis always take the longest to move over for the emergency vehicles? i've always wounderd that
great driving skills and vid
at 1 15 hes just like woah holy sh......
Cool
RIP st vincents..
xDD so great!! I love the sirene in new york!
a bus that size most likely a 7.3 easier to haul the weight around.....but its hard to say
also that sounds like a Carson siron is it?
i think the cab driver's reply was actually "hab daba curry curd haba" but i can't tell
Near the end of this video the ambulance passed a police car not responding to the emergency the ambulance was going to, and just before getting there it had to force two cabs to break the law and cause one of them to go through a red light while the other cab turned. Now what would be totally ironic is if the police car pulled over the cab for going through the red light, even if it was to let the ambulance pass by. Good video BTW.
Can anyone tell if that is a 6.0 or a 7.3?
Some crazy ass drivers in N.Y.C. Lol
Not crazy for us, welcome to NYC
1:09 crazy taxi
Holy shit ! 75 % cars its a cab's !! O.o
They should put Grovers on the ambulances!
Can you give me the citation to the statute to which you are referring because the information I'm seeing it WAY different from what you're saying? Thanks.
Skrillex < ambulance driver
Hey Dirk, how do you get your ride alongs? Who do you get in contact with?
How did you miss that cab
We aren't 'ambulance drivers" or "ems" were called Paramedics, for anyone who's wondering
0:50 nice :P
I know New York is a big city, but you'd think the citizens would have a better understanding of an ambulance and get out of its way. Especially the people crossing the street, it's like their trying to get hit, and than there's that stupid cab that almost side swiped the ambulance, even the cabbies in my city aren't that stupid. (Sorry to grip by the way).
1:09 scared the shit out of me!
Fr man :) :D
First
they did... when there was no risk of slamming into another car
This isn't a legal question, it's an ETHICAL one. Is it ETHICAL to potentially put someone's life at risk just because you don't feel like making room for an ambulance?
Sorry, I should have been a bit more specific; by "notable" I didn't necessarily mean anything "big", but anything ever reported in a law journal (or where written reasons were issued)? What is your main area of expertise/practice within civil law? "Civil law" is so broad...pretty much if it isn't criminal, it's civil. I've been assuming you practice in the U.S., so please correct me if I'm wrong. I live in Canada and I'm currently doing my articles at a criminal law firm.
I don't understand why people walk in the road when a Firetruck or Ambulance and police car are coming down the street.
@defender195 it was fun for me
What are you trying to say??
@goosubux Thanks!
Love the siren and love 00:50 to 00:55 and wow that taxi driver lol. Also I did not know that was a real squelch from the cb are you guys on analog or digital.
@hepta7
I was thinking the same thing lol one place i would never live is NYC lol
