That ride (and race) is what the E is all about...I can't imagine doing that ride on a regular MTB...GREAT JOB (and props) to you and the team, Steve! 🍺🍺🍺
@@antn8387 I think, but I could be wrong here, but I'm pretty sure the emtb guys were peddling also...and they were professional racers at that ... Anyway, thank you for stating the obvious, without your wonderful insight, I may not finish this year out on a proper note ... 👊
Steve Jones is great.. at the end when he said how many things have learned, a rider with his skills makes you think that there's always to learn in this sport in this life. Good work Steve.
Thank you i am a mountain bikers I live in Toronto and I don’t think I will ever ride such beautiful trails ,I am watching this and crying. Thank you sir🙏🇨🇦
If I could put this video up for an Emmy (or BAFTA?) award, I would! Superb editing, directing, and camera work. Right up there as one of the best UA-cam videos I have ever seen! Superb talent... Steve's a delight. Ridiculous scenery. I came away feeling the highs and lows. Etc. Etc. Amazing work guys! You've outdone yourselves this time. Keep it coming!
I would love to see a bike check on why you chose the Specialized over the Haibikes or canyon that y’all typically use! Awesome video, that race looked fun and challenging
Fantastic, really got the feeling we were right there with you but without the sweat lol. Felt like this was a 30 second clip not 32 minutes as it was so entertaining. I just hope we get our heads out of our a&$&$ quick enough here in North America for me to be able to attend an ebike event like this in my lifetime. Well done thoroughly enjoyed this with my espresso this morning :-)
The look in your eyes at the start of day three made it real just how much this race pushed you past the limit. This was an amazing video. Everyone who thinks ebikes are for lazy or disabled should be required to do the race at least once.
This is what I love about emtb. I love exploring trails and mountains and forests, just as much as blasting down a single track or a day at a bike park. I love going off for the day and exploring. These videos are really great motivators🤟
Bloody epic Steve, loved that video. I bet Chris is gutted he couldn’t do it. You’ve absolutely convinced me that I need to...... avoid that race completely :). It was magnificent but terrifying at the same time!
I absolutely love these videos. Great ride guys👍 but man...,What a landscape. Simply breathtaking. Yep, people stop arguing, buy an e-bike and take a ride. I'm doing it too. And it's fun. ✌
Maurice is such an inspiration. I wanna be like him when I am 51. Just a majorly cool chap. Epic ride, definetely no losers whatsoever in this race. Everybody wins, pure pleasure.
Well done Steve, such an amazing achievement. What a beautiful place to ride yet so demanding, the beer at the end must have tasted soo good. Congratulations for finishing, WOW!
Steve Thanks for showing how the Specialized 2019 battery fits in the Evoc bag. Open the rainfly compartment and like magic, the battery fits. Thanks for the fantastic video, excellent!
This has to be the best report on EMBN so far, amazing stuff, fantastic scenes! Congrats Steve on completing it! Fabrice is great but I'm still little disappointed Chris wasn't in it 😁 It was nice to finally see several Scott's out there used in serious action, makes me like my 2019 Scott Genius Eride 920 even more 😁😍
Steve, this is quite possibly THE finest piece of mountain biking cinematography I've ever seen, beautifully edited, the views, the bikes, the people... amazing, inspiring ... you've made me want to ride again after years in the wilderness 🙏...
STEVE, total respect that was one of the most amazing rides ever, sorry CHRIS did not make it..You guys go above ( and alot higher ) for your channel . Thanks guys
Amazing images, I can't imagine Steve stopping every time to film scenery and other bikers and getting on track again and again ! Congrats. Plus doing the challenging race itself, of course. You have my respect.
Wonderful video and really interesting. When you stopped at the watering hole splashing your face, the water looked so clear and fresh, you could bottle that it looked so good. Thank you for sharing your time with us, just love what you do. If only I was not 67, I would be out there with you.
Steve's teammate looks like the guy who did Lake Hawea Epic 95kms with one battery... Very good video and race.. More spectacular than normal mtb. Great job.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks Steve, another great bike adventure. What an amazing video! Wow. Absolutely brilliant , well done, Steve,we're talking about superlatives here, yes ... that's it!👌
I live in the Swiss/French Alps area and have been toying with the idea of getting an eMTB and this video is just the final inspiration that I needed! Not sure I would manage to do anything so grand as this, but it was absolutely stunning. Off to the local bike shop tomorrow!
Amazing. Truly amazing! It’s humbling to hear you Steve talk about still learning so much, even after your already incredible experience. Also just so inspirational for me being disabled that I’m going to push myself a bit more. Loved it! Best video yet bar far. Well done. 👍
Just watched again, on the last day of 2020, a year with no annual pilgrimage to the Alps. What a cracking video. Super scenery and a great race. Issues concerning weight differences I guess but.. just so entertaining to watch. Thanks for this. Totally enjoyed it and could almost feel being there.
Full of admiration for you Steve, to ride well at that altitude and keep filming is no easy feat. Thanks to the EMBN team for producing such a great video and hope Chris has recovered now. We're booking our tickets to Verbier for next year!
Ooof. Sorry Chris probably didn't get to do it "next" year. Hopefully last summer or this! Thank you for taking us on this wonderful Adventure! This really was the David Attenborough of E- biking Adventures.❤
I watch this race steve just about every month and every month my world just stops or goes to slow mo until its finished,,, 💪😊just love this place💖😍EPIC💙💙💙Excellent efforts guys💯🇬🇧
I rode for 20 miles the other day in Bentonville, Arkansas and my butt bones hurt so bad after I couldn’t ride for the next two days. I hadn’t ridden in year before that though.
You forgot one thing to mention of things you learned, finishing such an event, is also about companionship and team spirit. Well done Fabrice, well done Steve 👍🏻
This is what dreams are made of guys, good quality ride, with the bikes & terrain to match, not to mention the location. Well done to all that took part. I'm backing this upload will be the one to finally pull the last few people of the fence regarding e bikes 😁😎
Great video, I so enjoyed every minute 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Perhaps I would yes, never tried such a distance but with a group and organized race I wouldn’t hesitate 💪🏻 Thanks for sharing
Congrats Steve you looked really anxious at the start but you conquered it. On the other hand i thought top gear presenters had the best job in the world but in this video, you have it.👏👏👏👏👏👏
What a wonderful video. The scenery and the possibility of one day attempting this ride myself brings a tears to my eyes. I'm afraid I might end up using 5 kilowatt-hours per day to make it. For me I would never compete in the race. But I would love to spend days riding up and over those mountains.
Firstly that was epic and one of the best biking videos on you tube . Can’t wait to see more stuff like this . What was wrong with your motor mate? My levo just packed up yesterday and couldn’t fix it before race weekend :(
Really enjoyed watching this. Inspirational stuff. Jonesy , as an ambassador of e mountain biking for middle aged riders, your are at the top of your game.
I'd love to see you do a video just on some of the aspects that you can share regarding what you learned about your use of battery efficiency, when you'd use certain power modes and perhaps what you know about this information, regarding some of the podium racers? How did they use their power settings? The strategies around power consumption would be a great video, for events like this. There certainly will be more events popping up in the future, once Covid subsides. Great video!
Just awsome, i wish I had this sort of tech when I was riding bikes for the last 40 years ... Love Chamonix but I never biked there, ski and climb only .
Great ride and video, congrats ! I just worry concerning the reliability of the Brose engine... I just bought a Specialized turbo levo comp 2021 and I lose all my confidence on the motor...
Steve, for an older athlete you are a badass!!…You inspire me to train harder for my fitness. I’ve never ridden a Ebike but I am certainly curious about them now. I personally ride a normal bike 2022 SC Bronson so you no it’s a lot different from an Ebike lol! Kept on shredd’n Steve!
Would you race this event? Let us know!
No, but would love to ride parts of it within my own capability. Looks amazing!
Thanks for sharing this epic ride, good job!
yes definitely.
but @ 21:30, steve is smoooooth...
Is too much for me.. but really respect for those who have made it through this epic ride :)
Yes.. even without a 🔋😅
So you would need how many batteries? Seems expensive.
OMG for finishing that Steve, you are an inspiration for all us over 50s.
Terrifying and life changing.
Chris's challenge next.
That ride (and race) is what the E is all about...I can't imagine doing that ride on a regular MTB...GREAT JOB (and props) to you and the team, Steve! 🍺🍺🍺
LOL, you can still ride a regular mtb where those places are..you just have to, ya know, pedal?

Your race partner is a dynamo on a emtb.

Steve Jones is great.. at the end when he said how many things have learned, a rider with his skills makes you think that there's always to learn in this sport in this life. Good work Steve.
I'm not an Ebiker but this astounded me with how much you can climb on an E mountain bike ,great video #EMBN from a #GMBN fan
Second time I watched this video. Thankyou. Well done finishing AND recording all that footage as well. Really enjoyed that 🫡👍
Doing that and filming is HARD work. Well done! EPIC.

Excellent effort, and really enjoyed this. Seemed to be a race full of the nicest people to be sharing the trail with.

Just epic Steve! Well done. And definitely yes I would race that too
You guys are very helpful in all you have done on Ebikes
That was absolutely awesome . I know all of those areas from snowboarding on them so can really appreciate how hard that must be on emtb. Well done 👍
Great event Steve, quite inspiring, guessing you must have a good support crew and drones to capture some of that excellent aerial footage.
Leaves you speachless to see this! what an epic undertaking! kudos!
You guys are NUTS! But what great footage. Who cares about placing, the fact is you Finished. I give you two thumbs up.
What's nuts about riding a moped uphill ? We seem to have washed down the term NUTS
Just the breathtaking scenery would keep me going and a battery! Fantastic video.
