I cannot wait to see this, I know this will be a tough watch but I really think that this is what theatre can do, bringing a lens to sensitive issues, with superb acting
When are you seeing it? It closes in August so be quick to grab tickets. Denise is unbelievably good! Definitely a tough subject but the story's brilliantly executed.
An excellent review, Kristina. I saw the play last night - also from the front row and knowing very little going in. It was exhilarating watching Denise’s performance up close and the ‘sensory’ elements (lighting, sound) really added to the experience. Definitely a lot to think about. I might try to see it again later in the run as it was such a great show.

Really interesting ….not least passed Trafalgar theatre twice yesterday on the way to/from seeing Jon Robyns at His Majesty’s (fantastic!). The promoted headlines outside all talked of “electrifying…. Phenomenal” but still left me curious what is was actually about….so now I know !
