This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.
Thank you for keeping this video up. Your instructions were spot on and I was able to repair the exact issue you explained. I am once again enjoying a good cup of coffee.
You are a star. Had a broken machine in garage for 3 years as was going to get round to having a look but after the replacement one broke too I found you vid and the old one now fixed brill.. will tackle the “new one” tomorrow as I think it will be the same issue, you saved me a lot of dosh cheers
OMG I bought this machine for $10 off marketplace and got home and it would not turn on. Thanks to you I managed to get it going by fixing the spout and hooking back up an unplugged wire, but I NEVER would have thought of this. You are a GENIUS and helped me score a bargain!! Thank you!!!
Thank you for this video: we were about to give up on the machine, but thanks to your video, we repaired and now it's back to work. You are phenomenal! 👍🙂💪
Picked one of these up from a thrift store that worked beautifully until it started having this issue a few months in. Thank you so much for posting this repair! Saved my machine!
Very helpful, thank you. Nespresso wanted £79 to fix the machine. 95p screwdriver (T10) from eBay and £4.95 for the spare part and the machine is up and running again.
Thank you so much! Just had the same issue. Followed your instructions and we are now celebrating with a nice coffee. Nice to see a straightforward fix video on UA-cam. Thank you again. :-)
Thank you so much Rachel- this was sooooo helpful!! You're a star! From Perth, Western Australia. If only we'd seen this before we went out and bought a replacement. Oh well, now we have a spare to give to someone.
Called Nepresso and they were selling upgrade more than wanna fix it, your way does just fine and saved it from turning into a piece of junk that harmful to environment, thank you so much.
Thank you so much thought my machine was gone. It’s working perfectly now after following this. Nespresso don’t let on to this quick fix either as I rang them and they just want to bait you with a new machine and a fake discount. Thanks again.
Thanks for this video. Despite following your clear instructions it still doesn’t work. Part of the water/coffee keeps falling in the capsule compartment.
Brilliant. Had a exactly then same problem and noticed something rattling around inside but couldn't see where the screws were. Didn't have a star screwdriver so used a small flat blade and got away with it. Really tight but got them removed so have now left them out in case I get the same problem again. Honestly don't see what they do other than drive you to buy a name machine. Thank you so much !
The symptoms were the same for me, but in my case the outlet was blocked. I still needed to pull apart to get access to unblock though, so your video definitely helped.
Fantastic! Many thanks. I thought my machine was on its way to the bin. There were three screws on my machine two on the bottom and one on the back. Even with the t10 torx screwdriver, it was a bit tricky unscrewing them!
@@toninokundjung154 I am also curious what kind/size is the tool exactly. At least i know it is a star shape but when I tried mine(T15), it doesn't fit into the screw. Help me please!!! :)
Well done Rachel. This got me part way to solving my problem. Turned out the tiny wings on the spout had broken off. They lift up the pourer to direct the coffee into the cup. Otherwise it goes into the drip tray. Cost a whole £7 from buyspares! Result!
Thank you Rachel, I had the same problem but unfortunately the lower clip was broken or this what i saw, there was a small broken plastic piece; however, the upper clip of the spout was good, I applied your fix but without removing the whole hood, only slightly pushing it apart and just enough to pick up the inner pieces and engage the clip properly, and it worked properly even without the small broken piece. But i guess that as soon as any more plastic part is broken, i will have to replace the whole spout. thanks for your video
Thank you! Better instruction than from the brawny hand and low voiced version. i love expertise with feminine touches, including the baby gurgling in the background. You should do a series.
Thanks. I will try this. Common problem for all Nespresso machines. Found mine last week during local council hard rubbish disposal. Still inside the box. Brought it home. Made a coffee. Then it started to leak water.
Thank you for this! I've had my U for 5 years and just experienced this same problem. Wish I had a screwdriver or allen wrench that worked with those weird screws they have to prevent you from repairing the machine yourself!
The screws are special TORX that have a center post: A version known as Security Torx, Tamper-Resistant Torx (often shortened to Torx TR) or pin-in Torx contains a post in the center of the head that prevents a standard Torx driver (or a straight screwdriver) from being inserted. I purchased the special TORX TR (T10) head - with the security pin hole - from Home Depot.
Thanks for the video. Probably save me at least an hour and I mixed my machine (removed the stuck capsure) in under 3 minutes. Lucky for me that I happened to have the Torx T-10 bit with hole in the middle that I have never used before.
I wish I'd seen this first. I followed another UA-cam video instruction and took the cover off the way they suggested and broke one of the clips on the right. My distributor popped out of the machine so I suspect the guides have snapped. I'll try it the way you have taken the machine apart and hopefully not break anything else!
wow lady you’re doing it all with that long fingernail undamaged, you’re a wonderwoman. Mine got clogged so will try to check inside, Tnx for sharing very helpful😅
Thank you so much, mine was out of alignment too and your video was super helpful and real "girl power" to fix and sort it, now it is working properly. Cannot thank you enough :-))
I had a stuck coffee pod in the U, I though after 6 years that's it! I had to throw it away, then I saw your video!!! Thanks I now fixed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a really great video… will this help fix the fact that my slider wont open? It opens slightly but not all the way not even half way.,, so i cant put in a capsule. Im not sure what happened. It doesnt look like there is a capsule stuck inside.
Hi Rachel, thank you for this video. I have the same machine but power cable cut in the middle and need to change this part. Could you show this in your videos? Thanks in advance Aytac
My coffee machine is brand new and I am SO disappointed that this already happened to it! 28,000 people have seen this video so surely Nespresso has a problem! Last time I buy their product.
I am facing a different problem. When i put the capsule inside, the capsule is staying where it should be and is gowinf down to the empty can. What is happening?
U should have replaced the part, if you looked carefully you would have seen that the bottom clip was broken. this might work for a while but it's still a TEMPORARY fix until you replace the part. bottom part should also "click in".
I have a different problem: the capsules no longer fit at my magimix (?) not even when the capsule"door" is wide open. A capsule had been stuck and at one point it made quite a noise, like something broke. I managed to take out the capsule but for some reason I cannot put new capsule. Any explanation? Thank you

Hi there! do you remember what was the screw type that you used to unscrew the bottom part? Thanks
Very helpful, thank you. Nespresso wanted £79 to fix the machine. 95p screwdriver (T10) from eBay and £4.95 for the spare part and the machine is up and running again.
I have had my machine more than 2 years and thought it was broken and can't afford new one atm. Thanks to your video I will try to fix. Thanks
Thank you so much! Just had the same issue. Followed your instructions and we are now celebrating with a nice coffee.
Nice to see a straightforward fix video on UA-cam.

I also wants to thanks for your sharing! Never thought of the machine is so so dirty inside! It all cleared now! Hope everyone enjoy a nice ☕️!
This really helped me repair my 'U', many thanks. It's easy once you know how, and videos like this are fantastic.
thank you so much! Almost threw my machine out and have it for 11 yrs.
Thanks for this video. Despite following your clear instructions it still doesn’t work. Part of the water/coffee keeps falling in the capsule compartment.

Thank You Rachel, I fixed my machine and saved 100 dollars.
You saved my life! I was about to call them for an out of warranty repair...

HI Karn, from where did you buy this part, I have the same problem
Hi buyspares supply spout for £7
Thanks Rachel, saved me a fortune. I had a bit of a problem removing the screws but once I'd done that it was plan sailing. 😊

Nespresso asked for 75 quid to have this fixed. Top job! Thanks
Thanks. I will try this. Common problem for all Nespresso machines. Found mine last week during local council hard rubbish disposal. Still inside the box. Brought it home. Made a coffee. Then it started to leak water.
You are a star! I love the way you did it hitting the machine hahaha short and direct! Thank you!!!
Thanks so much - coffee supply back in action! 😊
Thank you for this! I've had my U for 5 years and just experienced this same problem. Wish I had a screwdriver or allen wrench that worked with those weird screws they have to prevent you from repairing the machine yourself!
Have now changed that part twice in a year even though everybody said "buy a new machine". But no, I just saw this video again!! THANKS! :-)
And did it again today hahaha... Saving money, easy fix. Thanks again!
rachel thanks so much great help. however plastic clip on spout broken. need new spout!!!
Thanks for posting this - great tip and saved me from a crisis today.
Excellent video - exactly what was wrong with my machine. Thanks!

The tool is a Torx Security Screw Wrench, size T10.
Mine was a tamperproof screw and I didn’t have the right bit. So I drilled out the center pin. LOL
Thankyou - perfect. IN my case the bottom latch had broken (causing the gap and leak) so I glued the spout on with Araldite
Legend. That saved me going out and buying a new one. Result.
Thank you very much! Had the exact same problem and was fixed within 10 minutes thanks to your video.
Thank you so much for posting this! This video helped me fix the exact same problem!
Thank you!! You saved us buying a new one for Christmas! Great, clear instructions that actually worked!! :)

Thank you, great, clear instructions. Had to purchase the screwdriver and spare part (ebay) but happy to have a working machine again!
What was the name of the spare part? I'm having the same issue but can't find it anywhere
Thank you and thanks to the parents who provided the stAr shaped things :)
I had a stuck coffee pod in the U, I though after 6 years that's it! I had to throw it away, then I saw your video!!! Thanks I now fixed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing, this fixed the problem for me too!!
Hello, did you notice if the buttons are a bit warm, even when the machine is on standby?
You are a lifesaver a 2am and the machine started doing the same thing.
Thank you. That was just what was needed.
My coffee machine is brand new and I am SO disappointed that this already happened to it!

Oh my god it's so easy thanks
Thank you so much! This is exactly what I needed. Was so relieved it was such an easy to fix problem, and thanks to you I could, twice. Cheers!!!

RACHEL SENİN ALLAHINA KURBAN HAYATİMİ KURTARDİN.
Good job girl
Thank you, very helpfull.
Awesome! Thanks
Thanks - helped me out of a pickle
It works! Thanks!
Can you tell me what is the size of the tool?
When I tried a star shaped T15, it didn't fit into the screw.
Please!!!
Apparently T10, but I was able to use T9.
Thank you!
My machine has 2 torx security screws. There is a tit in the middle that requires a security torx bit. You can get them at Harbor Freight.
I have tried but cannot find a screwdiver to get the screws out - any ideas, recommendations on what I should look for?
T8x60
Amazing thank you
What size star-shaped key did you use? thanks!
Thanks much!
Thanks so much
FIXED!!!
thank you 😘😘
Like Jessica Adza I'm trying to determine what size star key was used? Can anyone help with that info please
TO10 seems to do it on mine (not T10, which doesn't have the hole in the middle).
