Best video I've seen so far! Thanks for taking the time to help so many people that also made the mistake of buying a similar model coffee machine. My only comment is that the method used to remove the "nose" shaped piece of plastic (also known as a FL29301) was so easy because the top and bottom clips were already broken. If they are not already broken, it is a bit harder to remove. I first took off the plastic dome top cover that has the three buttons that select the water quaintly. Then it's easier to use a blade screw driver to gently list the top clip up a couple of mm. I wish there was a better fix than to endlessly replace this part 3 times a year.
Amazing! My “nose” part wasn’t even broken..but thanks to watching this video and learning that you can remove it without a help of a screwdriver, I was able to investigate. All my part needed was to be put back into its position. Thank you! Feeling quite accomplished..
When you replace the "black plastic nose" (FL29301), make certain that it isn't angled to the left or right side. Otherwise, the little plastic wings/tabs can strike the left or the right side of the housing that the part (FL29301) retracts into when piecing the coffee pod.
I cannot thank you enough for this video. Two years ago I needed to make this exact repair and was able to do so with ease after watching your video. The same issue has arisen again so I came back for a refresher on the repair. Thank you!!
Thanks very much for posting this video. Still useful after 7 years! There were a few similar ones but yours was the clearest. I found that when attaching the new spout I had to apply quite a bit of pressure to ensure both the top and bottom lugs had properly fitted. Probably due to minute variation in the size/shape of replacement part. Make sure it 'clicks' and is secure. Thanks again!
Thank you for this. Bought my 8yr old machine back to life and has saved more eWaste going to recycling as well as saving me having to buy a new machine. Very easy fix when you know with this easy to follow video. FYI in my case it was just a blocked nozzle and only the bottom clip had broken. Seems to work fine if carefully hooking back only the top clip after hooking on the spout. So so didn't even need to buy the spare part!
Thank you for the video! You’ve not only saved me money for a new machine but also made my weekend very fun 😄 never knew that I could understand the mechanism out of this machine! Thank you again!
Perfect fix, almost threw it away. Ordered the part off eBay, arrived 3 days later - fixed. Bit fiddly to get the broken part off but managed. Thanks for the video
My suggestion is not to flex the front of the outer shell plastic as it will break the tabs. Just undo the two screws on the bottom and the shell slides off. Then there are two tabs for the front part to come off. This also gives much better access to replace the broken piece and do a spot of cleaning while there.
Thank you so much for this video! You saved me around 90 Euros! I just wanted to add that I repaired a DeLonghi EN 110 B machine with this video (and with the Krups spare part) - so it works for DeLonghi machines too. I think it's a fraud that Nespresso charges 93 Euros for a spare part that costs 5 Euros and 10 minutes of work. They should just add a link to this video on their website or make their own video.
Hi Ashley, you will need the tip of a thin-bladed knife to prize off the clip at the top of the nozzle plate. In this video, he pulls off the nozzle plate at about 5min 50sec, but when the nozzle plate comes off, his machine's top clip looks like it has snapped. This is possibly why he could pull the nozzle plate off without removing the outer housing to get enough access to prize off the top nozzle plate clip. There is another clip at the bottom of the plate, but it loosens as soon as the top clip is loosened. The following video shows the clip more clearly, but I still find it easier to remove the entire housing to get easy access. Attaching the new spout is the reverse action. Locate the bottom clip in position and then push the top clip into position.
Andrew McDonald Thanks Andrew for explanation and new link. Just opened casing (actually had a slightly different fault/ break with my spout) and changed it for new one and ALL working again 😊👏
Thank you so much for this video and your patients creating this info. It helped me very much. Followed your instructions to the T. And because of it now I can drink espresso again. Thanks.
Thanks for the video - very useful. On my machine it was the two teeth at the front of the spout that had broken off and so we're failing to tip the rocking chute into the correct position and hold it there.

Hi Paolo, I diligently followed your excellent tutorial and fixed my Nespresso machine - I’m delighted! The new part cost just £4 in the UK; I also replaced the water container since it had cracked. It’s just like new now 😊 Thank you

@@katecuddy7984 I took the plastic cover that also has the three buttons that select the amount of water to pass through the coffee capsule. There are two plastic clips on each side. Be careful of the flat wire cable. Once the top plastic cover is removed, it's not so hard to get to the top and bottom clips that hold the FL29301 to the coffee machine.
Wow. Very detailed and clear video. Congratulations!!!! I wish all UA-cam DIY videos were like yours. Thank you so much!!! Greetings from Vancouver Canada :)
It turns out this was not the problem with my machine, and the part in question was intact. The symptoms were slightly similar, though. Too much water going into the reservoir, but the coffee still being brewed. After making about 4 cups though the reservoir is completely full. When I examined the part Paulo refers to I found it was intact, but with the front cover off I could see excess water coming out and into the reservoir, not having gone through the capsule, at the same time as the coffee was brewing. I suspect a pump seal or similar might be leaking. I don't always get a nice strong flow of coffee coming through either, so I suspect the problem might be robbing my pump of its power,. Although this video didn't relate directly to my problem, I think it's an exceptionally good fix it/instructional video. Considering especially that it was your FIRST attempt, I think it's outstanding. You have a talent for this work, keep it up! Just as an aside, my machine looks exactly like this one, but the maker is DeLonghi, not Krups, and the model is Solo EN 110.B
Did you figure out the issue? My part was half broken and we replaced it but it still shoots a ton of water out the back. I thought resetting the cup pour would help as it looked like the spout was tipping back too soon but even after that there was still a lot of water going back into the reservoir even while it was pouring into the cup
Thank you. I have been able to find the broken part on my machine and have ordered it from amazon. Pretty confident that this will fix my issue. Great worl
Hi Paulo. Thank you so much for your concise instructions. I have just ordered the new part and feel confident that I can fix my machine when it arrives. Kind regards. Jenny
Thanks for the video Paulo, easy to understand and follow. We've ordered the part which is $23 Australian dollars and fixed it. Nespresso wasn't much help and never mentioned the part or given any instructions for replacing it. So much for them, very disappointing.
Juste un commentaire en français : j'étais confronté au presque au même problème : la moitié de l'eau passait dans la tasse à café et l'autre moitié dans le réservoir. En le nettoyant, tout est rentré dans l'ordre.
Great video and simple to understand. Only difficulty I had was unclipping the old part from the machine and needed a small screw driver to move the top clip to allow it to come free. The part that was broken has 2 little winglets that push the plastic pourer down when the mechanism slides forward and these had either worn out or broken off on mine. All working perfectly now for the sake of a £5 part. Thank you so much

The clips at the top and bottom my not be broken on your spout. Try using a blade screw driver to gently lift off the top clip. The reason that most people are fixing the spout is there are 2 little "wings" at the front of the spout that gets broken. I have seen people replace the spout (like in this video), glue a small wire rod to replace the broken wingless and even place a small spring under the back of the "seasaw" guide to push the back of the seasaw up allowing the coffee to flow forward.
