EDIT 12/31: I have selected a winner but I'm waiting on their response. If I don't get a response by tomorrow (1/1/25) I will select a new winner. This is the 3rd winner I've selected and had to move one from because of no response. But we'll keep picking until someone responds to me. I'll keep you posted! I'm seeing some confusion in the comments here. This product is made of plywood that is covered in wood veneer. It is NOT MDF. (MDF is an engineered wood product that is not acid free.) I hope that clears things up. Thanks!
For those that might be concerned with potential damage from the cards coming in contact with the wood, as I was, here's what i am doing to minimize that concern with mine. For the inside of the drawers, I am putting a couple coats of " oil based wood finish top coat sealant" before assembling. If you apply it properly ; sand the surface, apply first layer, wait 12-24 hours, very lightly sand with 320 grit sandpaper once coat dries, repeat steps 1 or 2 more times and it will be as smooth as glass. Just don't sand the last layer you apply. This suggestion takes a considerable amount of time, so i totally get why someone may not want to do it. But i was going to stain mine anyways and I'm already bought in on the time commitment. If you're like me and have little to no experience staining wood, purchase some of their card dividers and practice on them after watching a couple youtube vids. Hope this helps someone
Great video, but massive bummer that for that price you have to build it yourself and need wood glue and clamps. That's not even necessary for IKEA furniture so this just makes BCW's offerings look so much better. Yeah they're pricey but at least they come to you fully assembled (the more premium options I mean, not the cardboard boxes).
I've gotten back in the magic the last year and a half. This was exactly what I was looking for to get and I ordered one for myself based on your review!
Congratulations! You have won! Apologies for the delay as previous winners did not get back to me in time. Please email me at nate@thecipnetwork.com with your information and MTech Cave will get you prize shipped ASAP! Thank you for watching!
4:33 "...or for a mind-boggling total of 15,600 unsleeved cards [...]. This product has the potential to hold entire collections for most people, with room to spare."
My favorite card game which is currently starting to occupy space in my single Kallax drawer unit from MTech Cave is Star Wars Unlimited (I used the FDS code when purchasing). It will certainly fill up within the next year and I'll be looking to add another to my Kallax.
Glad to see another video! I have enjoyed seeing your work for a couple months now, especially your video on sorting cards in your collection. Fav board game right now is for sure Casting Shadows by the Unstable team. For card games right now, its a mix between MTG and Pokemon.
This looks way more compelling as storage for my collection than the BCW. Now to check their site and find out its a small fortune to ship to Canada...
Who are we kidding, my top spot is gonna be Magic. Though the other card games coming out lately have also been great! As far as board games, big fan of Tak. It's given me what I always wanted out of chess, I love it. Been looking for a bulk storage solution, this seems great! Thanks for the recommendation.
My favorite card game is actually the discontinued Dragonball Z/GT card game from Score. It was my introduction to TCGs in my early high school days, and unfortunately went under right as I started getting the money to buy decent cards. I've been looking at picking one of the Kallax options from these folks for a bit. Looks like a solid upgrade from the cardboard Amazon special drawers, definitely well worth the price.
I’ve been slowly coming back to magic over the last year but board games are my bread and butter. My favorite board game currently is Everdell. Magic is something I’ve been collecting for the last 25 years off and on. It’s a game I collect more than play.
Yeah, my favorite is Magic. I've hacked together a drawer solution but I've had these on my wish list since your original video. This feels like the end game.
Thanks for the video. Favorite card game is MTG, but I'm also really enjoying Star Wars Unlimited and trying to learn the Middle Earth CCG from the 90's.
just saw these on etsy and was wondering if there were any reviews. randomly was looking at one of you older videos and saw this and got some great info! missed the sale though D:
As for burger tokens, I was able to fit the Cardamajig's token boxes as well as Gamegenic's token boxes in them so I would imagine the Burger Tokens should fit. I don't have any on hand but I'll try to get some and follow up.
My favorite card game is definitely Magic. I just started playing a year ago, but I’ve become so obsessed with it that I now have way to many cards and nowhere to put them! Thats how I found your video! The boxes look amazing, I hope I win ☺️
My all time favorite is definitely the old scores dragon ball z game. Just plays so differently than most other tags. Mtg is my current main but have been dabbling in others like digimon and looking forward to the gundam card game when it releases.
Magic yes. I've tried a few projects with laser cut wood and I can never get them perfectly. Anything with a lid or holder needs a ton of sanding as I cannot get the fit right even with clamps
Favorite is definitely Magic; its the only one I've invested in paper. Well I suppose a French-suit 52 card playing deck also kinda counts and I do adore many of those games? And I would class mahjong as a card game, despite using tiles. But probably Magic, still.
My favorite card game right now is Marvel Champions. I love not having to play the "pull" game where you have to buy tons of extra boosters. I can have the whole set. This would be perfect for holding the whole game in one easy to organize box.
I do own up to owning 5 BCW from Ebay. Thank God below $100 each. I have been playing cards forever. Magic, Pokémon, Weiss schwarz, vanguard. Never stop playing anyone game for long. But vanguard is my go to fun game
Mtg is currently my favorite mostly to there being a multiplayer format with commander, yugioh's what got me into TCG''s and I playa little Weiss Schwarz here and there same with Digimon xD.
MTG! it's the game I keep coming back to week after week. my close group of friends are al in and we continually talk about the game, decks we build and just shitpost\meme about it. So yeah, MTG is my favorite game ATM!
ELESTRALS! (Within the last 4 years I’ve become more addicted to this game than I have been with Pokemon for the last 25+ years, and I’m running out of storage space.)😅😬
Card game : Uno 🤔 Board game : Ludo 🫣 Awesome review, i would point out the fact you have to "build it" and the material it's made of is a major upside if you're gonna "foil it up" 🥳🤠 I know i would cover it in print of Shandalar or some old 90's mtg tv/magazin ads 🎉
How can one not choose MtG as their favorite? It's the OG. Nah, I'm sure these other games have their merit, I hear Lorcana is pretty fun and the One Piece game seems to have some cool options for decks but Magic costs enough as it is and space is always at a premium, so to keep my wife happy, one card game will do it. And if it's only gonna be one, it's gotta be the one that makes me feel the most like when I was a kid. Love your videos, thanks for what you do!
I don't see that you have commented to pick a winner after a week. I already commented my favorite card games. Just following up to say you should pick me. 😁
My current favorite card game is One Piece, but my overall favorite is Magic. I have had so many good memories with it, along with a good amount of time and money put into it, that game is not going anywhere for me.
Magic is still my top card game., and the Dragonshiled app has me at over 13K cards.... I should probably think of some better storage. That said for a fun stupid dead game, I pick up Battlecards whenever I see them, The TCG of cards that you can only use once.
@@beyondthedeckboxwith a veneer finish, which off-gases and contains formaldehyde, which is not good for paper cards. This product has a LOT of risks compared to just about anything else on the market. If you store any cards long term unsleeved, you’re going to run into issues.

MDF, no thanks. I'd rather have plastic or even better, metal. MDF doesn't last long depending on your climate and unless treated can easily collect a lot of bacteria.

Clamping and glue os 100% ruling this out for me ever purchasing it
The assembly process is a complete deal breaker for me. Woodworking isn't part of my card collecting skill set lol.

After having come back to MTG this year I’ve settled on Star Wars: Unlimited as my primary CCG though commander still has a soft place in my heart.
Mtg is my favorite. Thanks for the review!
Gundam CCG
Planning to go hard when it drops, so this thing would be great for organizing playsets as each set drops
Congratulations! You have won! Apologies for the delay as previous winners did not get back to me in time. Please email me at nate@thecipnetwork.com with your information and MTech Cave will get you prize shipped ASAP! Thank you for watching!
Nice to see a new upload!!
My favorite card game is Netrunner. Desperately miss when FFG actively supported it.
My favorite card game is the Altered TCG. Love its look and playstyle.

My favorite TCG is Magic but lately I am learning how to play Pokémon due to my nephew 😊. Great videos!
Magic for sure. Great vids. Would be cool to see how it fits in the kallax shelf.
Star Wars Unlimited. Thanks for the drawing and all of the great content.
This looks way more compelling as storage for my collection than the BCW. Now to check their site and find out its a small fortune to ship to Canada...

Lorcana, I have been playing since its release. I started using the BCW Card Catalog and have been really happy. This does look interesting.
that looks dope and i love the wood aesthetic , as for my favorite card game is yugioh for one vs one but mtg for multiplayer , i love some commander
My favorite card game is actually the discontinued Dragonball Z/GT card game from Score. It was my introduction to TCGs in my early high school days, and unfortunately went under right as I started getting the money to buy decent cards.

Favorite card game is Flesh and Blood, have been working on a deck to maybe take a shot at a pro tour! This would really help with my organization. 😅

Yeah, my favorite is Magic. I've hacked together a drawer solution but I've had these on my wish list since your original video. This feels like the end game.
This looks awesome. Magic is my favorite card game, but I also really love the board game Root.
Thanks for the video.

Never disappointed watching the video through the end hahahaha
just saw these on etsy and was wondering if there were any reviews. randomly was looking at one of you older videos and saw this and got some great info! missed the sale though D:
There’s a Christmas week sale happening now
personal favorite is MTG, unstable unicorns is my 2nd favorite bc my kids love to play and i get to spend time with them playing cards hehe
Neat, I just stack a bunch of 800 count BCW boxes on an old bookshelf.
MtG. Any insight into if burgertokens boxes will fit in the drawers?
As for burger tokens, I was able to fit the Cardamajig's token boxes as well as Gamegenic's token boxes in them so I would imagine the Burger Tokens should fit. I don't have any on hand but I'll try to get some and follow up.

I'm loving Pokémon TCG right now, specifically the old constructed formats from around 2004-2007!
MTG is my favorite - drafting is so incredibly interesting and I can’t get enough!
My favorite card game is Pokemon TCG! I’m both a player and collector, these would be a nice storage option for my bulk!
My all time favorite is definitely the old scores dragon ball z game. Just plays so differently than most other tags. Mtg is my current main but have been dabbling in others like digimon and looking forward to the gundam card game when it releases.
The score DBZ game was great, especially once they got into the Cell saga.
Favorite card game is Dominion, followed by MtG.
Not bad considering the one I bought off of Etsy (and also had to construct) is more expensive.
Lorcana is my fav currently
Its Lorcana for me! Would be nice if you recommend some gear for the new TCG players that have picked up Lorcana!
My favourite card game is the one I get to play with friends. At the moment, that happens to be Magic.
Favorite card game right now: Sorcery: Contested Realm
My favorite is mostly Magic but Lorcana is good too.
My favorite card game right now is flesh and blood! Katsu main for the win!
Magic yes. I've tried a few projects with laser cut wood and I can never get them perfectly. Anything with a lid or holder needs a ton of sanding as I cannot get the fit right even with clamps
My favorite card game is mtg, but I love heartstone too :D
My favourite card game is Marvel Champions, which could use one of these caves for storage
Hello, my favorite tcg is magic the gathering and my favorite format lately has been draft.
Favorite is definitely Magic; its the only one I've invested in paper. Well I suppose a French-suit 52 card playing deck also kinda counts and I do adore many of those games? And I would class mahjong as a card game, despite using tiles. But probably Magic, still.

My favorite card game is Final Fantasy TCG. Sadly it doesn't get a ton of support in my area, but its still a great tcg.
Favorite is still magic (commander specifically), but I am in and out a lot in Pokemon TCG.
I do own up to owning 5 BCW from Ebay. Thank God below $100 each. I have been playing cards forever. Magic, Pokémon, Weiss schwarz, vanguard. Never stop playing anyone game for long. But vanguard is my go to fun game
Magic the gathering definitely my favorite
I have to say Magic is still my fav, started in Ice Age and been playing off and on ever since.
My favorite card game is, has always been, and will always be Magic. Board games though - we've really been enjoying My Father's Work.
My favorite card game is Magic the Gathering, love the complexity
Favourite card game is still Magic after all these years. Second would have to be Cribbage, if I can count that 😂
Nice, my favorite game is grand archive!
Mtg is currently my favorite mostly to there being a multiplayer format with commander, yugioh's what got me into TCG''s and I playa little Weiss Schwarz here and there same with Digimon xD.
My oldest card game love is Magic, but my current favorite is Star Wars Unlimited.

Star Wars Unlimited is the game I enjoy the most at the moment after that it’s Flesh and Blood
ELESTRALS! (Within the last 4 years I’ve become more addicted to this game than I have been with Pokemon for the last 25+ years, and I’m running out of storage space.)😅😬
Magic the gathering is my favorite card game.
My favorite card game is, in fact, Magic!
I'm curious though, do the drawers stand open while full, or will they fall out of the outer box?
In his previous review on the larger Mtech drawers, he mentioned the drawers do stand open while full. I would imagine these are the same.
magic has irreversibly captured me
Either Magic: The Gathering, or I've been having fun with Balatro on Apple Arcade. Not sure if it's considered a "card game" in the same way.
Card game : Uno 🤔
Board game : Ludo 🫣

Magic currently, but friend is trying to get me to try Pokemon.

My favorite card game is magic. I don't have the patience or funds to learn another.
doesnt hold toploaders or other such rigid card protectors
You are correct! I noted this in the video as well! Thanks for pointing it out!
@@beyondthedeckbox for me that is a big negative
My favorite card game has to be magic lol
Magic is favorite but just getting interested in Pokemon also play Yu-Gi-Oh and a little weiss and one piece
Magic
Pokemon!
My favorite card game other than mtg is cards against humanity.
Yu-Gi-Oh! currently
The card game, "No Thanks".
MDF is not acid free. Do not store unsleeved cards in MDF material.
