Honestly, after years of using phones the OnePlus 13 is the best smartphone I've ever had. It's super smooth. Comfortable to hold due to slightly rolled off edges. Best screen I've saw. Great haptics, great camera. Awesome sound from speakers, and highly customisable. Also super fast charging and seriously long battery life. A steal of a phone for the money.
Can you please tell if the high 2160 HZ PWM display of one plus 13 has made any difference to your eye comfort for long time viewing. I am finding it very uneasy to read on my s23 ultra as my eyes start hurting, maybe due to low 240hz PWM.
@@Techtablets Wonderful review. Can you please tell if the high 2160 HZ PWM display of one plus 13 has made any difference to your eye comfort for long time viewing. I am finding it very uneasy to read on my s23 ultra as my eyes start hurting, maybe due to low 240hz PWM.
The last OnePlus device that came with a Type-C to Type-C cable was the 8T, and I am still using the cable to charge my MacBook and Galaxy phone. Good old OnePlus days.
In fact, the reason that OnePlus uses type A outputs with their chargers is cost. They Mass manufacture they're smart super vooc chargers so, they can include them in the box. Universal cereal bus charges less for the older type a technology. Conversely, universal cereal bus charges far more for the modern type C. Since they are mass-producing them, they have to do so as cheaply as possible. Otherwise, it wouldn't be cost efficient for OnePlus to include the charger in the box.
I'm disappointed that the screen isn't completely flat. I don't want any curve. This is making me second guess whether I want to get it or just get the boring, but beastly S24 Ultra with it's perfectly flat screen.
S24U hardware is perfect IMO besides hole punch... Software is horrible IMO. And I cant root.. moving to Pixel next year with terrible hardware but I can at least root if software is also horrible.
Thanks for another quality video. I'd love to hear your opinion on how the OP13's camera compares to the S23U, especially for capturing fast moving subjects (kids, pets) accurately and in focus. Unf the S23U after almost 2 years and several software updates, it's still hit or miss.
The phone is very good, I sold my s24 ultra because it gave me a lot of problems, nothing to do with the previous models, the s20 that I had and which I returned to works better. Another reason for the sale was to buy this one when it comes out
Lens flare issue? That sounds like something related to the glass which cannot be resolved? Where are you getting the 9400 benchmark numbers? They are starting to be thousands of benchmarks on both the 9400 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite and it's clear that while the 9400 performs decent the only place on 9400 outperforms it is on the GPU side . The stability of the 9400 is also only about 56% while the stability of the Snapdragon 8 Elite is closer to 70%.. also the Snapdragon 8 Elite Performance numbers are about 10 to 14% higher other than the GPU performance numbers. Maybe devices are getting updates because from what I can tell the Snapdragon Elite is proving itself to be absolutely amazing.. especially considering how efficient they are with battery
If OnePlus would JUST put N71 on this version I would have the white one with 24 RAM and 1 TB of storage! However, I am compelled to wait for the US/North America release and whatever capacity version they provide. Why China gets the best and we just get the rest is beyond me! For reference... N71 has of recent times become truly necessary for anyone using T-Mobile, or an MVNO that uses their towers! Just a heads up for those who are unaware! Flashing the Oxygen OS ROM does not give you N71! YMMV
Oppo and Oneplus have really nice haptics, when I upgraded from my Find X3 Pro to my S23U I could really feel the pain of the inferior haptics on my Samsung

I LOVE this design. It hasn't come around for years on a flagship, to my knowledge. The screen is flat, but the bezels are all slightly curved, rather than having a sharp edge like every other phone. They even made the back match with the same curvature. I didn't like the metal along the back in the 12 and they removed it. That fixes all my design gripes.
