Great! I'm glad to see a comparison between the regular 13 and the 13 are cuz I was battling between the two. The biggest thing I love about the 13 series is the battery, so it's really good to see that it's pretty similar on both products. Thanks for another great video! Mark
Can you tell us which version of the 13r you got? Model CPH2***? And if it has esim support. There's conflicting reviews that say it does and others that it doesn't.
Great comparison. I'm highly tempted by the 13R as an upgrade to my Pixel 6. The thing is my Pixel 6 still works pretty well and Google extended the software support a few years. Do you think it'd be a big upgrade? I also recently got the OnePlus Pad on sale for under $400 and it's been incredible. First tablet I've owned since the Nexus 7.
If you're a gamer, of course, it'll make a difference. If you're like most ppl using your phone to open up Facebook & messenger 😂 then you're fine to wait it out with your pixel.
@@katinasoutherland7693 Yeah true. I am a power user, but on the gaming side, I have a desktop with an RTX 3080 so I don't play mobile games much. However, on my new OP Tab, I've been dabbling in some games, and they have come a long way in terms of graphics. Pretty wild for mobile hardware.
I quickly did a small video test with the oneplus 13 in the dark, everything is ok until I zoomed in, why does everything get so dark when I zoom?? HDR was on, I don't think that will be the problem or is it? 4K 60fps. I don't understand. I have had many samsung & with those top models everything stays lit up. I do not have that problem with the iPhone or pixel or oneplus 11. It is weird, what do i wrong or is it i mistake from oneplus? If I can't fix that, I'm going to regret not waiting for the S25 ultra.
Hi Mark, I wanted to ask if you'd do a 1+12 vs. 13R? I've seen many ppl confused about the differences between them? I understand the differences but I'd like to know about batter life? IMHO cameras matter, so I'd buy the 12. Battery life is important also, so idk? 😂 can you make a versus video while the OnePlus train is still cruising?
After doing digging and reading the reviewers guide, and some google searches here and there it seems youre correct. It supports up to 80w but the charger included only does 55w. Interesting. Thanks!
13r comes with 100$ less than S24 FE but blows away S24 FE in every department. And it’s a pretty big upgrade comparing to12r for the new telephoto lens and bezelless flat display.
As you say, I think the 13r would be good enough for most people's needs. I'll probably replace my Oneplus 11 with a 13, because I can. Here in UK they don't come with a power adaptor in the box.
I bought OP12 6 months back but ngl. If I would have to buy oneplus today I would definitely go for 13R with actual *FLAT* display. And now that they have removed that shitty 2mp macro and replaced with telephoto it would have been a great choice. I skipped 12R because it wasn't worth it for the price.
@UKTonyMagill i Had 12 R.. Very slippery metal frame. Whereas, OP 13 blue colour version is different, its leather back gives better grip compared to the OP 13 white and black which i physically examined in the oneplus experience shop.
We know which one is best. The point is which one is best for you? Clearly, 1+13 is killing all the flagships in the West. Yet for some of ppl, it's not worth the extra cash.
I'm a pixel fan-girl & and I've been absolutely loving the 1+13 bro. Then again, I'm a fan-girl of tech in general, so there's that. I was thinking just the opposite, tbh about Samsung fans being a little more mundane than unusual. 😂 ima Samsung also 😂 just not a fan of the s25U
Oh how I wish OP did phones other than the (fantastic) giant slabs they do nowadays. I'm not asking for a _miniscule_ phone (like a 5.5 incher of yesteryear), but a compromise , like a Sammy 24 or the 'smaller' Pixel 9 Pro of around 6.2 to 6.4-ish, that's more pocket-friendly. I'd had enough of massive phones after my S23U and went to the more 'managable' S24. My last OnePlus was the 6T...it was perfect. I'd get a smaller 13 Pro in a heartbeat if they did...
Didnt realise Charlie Day was doing phone reviews now.
😂😂
Keep up the good work man. I like your approach to reviews. It feels more like a conversation than an informative speech
I had the 12r but I'll definitely get the 13r. Using a moto Razr 2024 so I know the OnePlus will be the better phone
Definitely an upgrade! 🔥
Much better phone. I also have 12 and a 12R. No difference to me at all. Would love the 13 or 13 R.
How was your experience with the moto razr?? Im looking for a flip phone and not very impressed with the galaxy z flip 6.
My 13 will be arriving shortly today
Enjoy your new OnePlus 13! 😄
Same
i like the way you did the side by side at 4:45.
Thank you!:) I’m trying out different editing tactics

Thanks for watching bro!
Pls make a video about AoD + the settings . Does it has ''tap to show'' for aod ?

Ugh, what's the reason for moving fingerprint sensor on 13r? It was higher on the 12r lol
No idea 😓 lol it’s fine tbh. I’m just nitpicking hahaha
Unless someone takes one apart, it probably has something to do with space constraints.
@badengrishSi now that phones are going back to flat slabs there should be more room. Slim phones with curves reduce inner space in theory, idk lol.
It's in the same place as the 1+9 pro. Trust me, you'll get used to it.
I ordered the OP 13. Can't wait

Do you need graphic designer for thumbnail editing
Such a great detailed review! Thanks bro. Love from Bangladesh
Does the 13R have an IR blaster?
Did the US get 80w charging ? Im sure the EU one is 100w

Does 13r have equal bezels?
So the placement of the finger sensor fingerprint sensor is a deal-breaker
This is an excellent review

Fantastic video thanks
I need a phone with no cameras and max battery. I dont know why no companies have done at least 1 model of this yet
They did! It's called a landline 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
does 13R support display out?
I'm leaning towards 13r but I'm not entirely ruling out 13
More than anything, i just hope they find a way to put an under screen fingerprint sensor on the Open 2! Cause i waaaaaaaant that phone! 🤩
Can you make a video about battery life for 13R?
Definitely will! :)
Great vid but doesn't the 13r also have 80 watt charging also

S24 FE is an overpriced junk but it does have 7 years of support
As you say, I think the 13r would be good enough for most people's needs. I'll probably replace my Oneplus 11 with a 13, because I can. Here in UK they don't come with a power adaptor in the box.
Starmer probably banned them
one reviewer put the 13 in his dishwasher and it still worked fine lol xD
Definitely cant beat the value for the 13R ! Def a buy for me! Coming from the 9Pro
No charger included for us in EU :(
I am so pissed off by this, to have to choose this as an extra option or even pay more for it.
IMO, just go for the oneplus 12, prolly better looking and more premium feature than 13R
I bought OP12 6 months back but ngl. If I would have to buy oneplus today I would definitely go for 13R with actual *FLAT* display. as well as same some money
Both are waterproof ?
Just the 13
OP 13R has IP65 rating (can withstand splashes), OP 13 has IP69 (you can literally put it in the dishwasher)
The 13 has 100W SUPERVOOC doesn't it, rather than 80W?
Yes.
One thing i ve observed both 13 & 13 R are slippery, except the midnight ocean blue with vegan leather of OP 13 and its lighter too.
Any comments?
Who said they were slippery?
@UKTonyMagill i Had 12 R.. Very slippery metal frame.
Whereas, OP 13 blue colour version is different, its leather back gives better grip compared to the OP 13 white and black which i physically examined in the oneplus experience shop.
Between the Pixel, iPhone, and OnePlus, which phone is smoother, and which one is better in terms of longevity? ❤
Nothing is smoother than a pixel. Even my pixel 7 feels better than anything I've put my hands on every time I go to the phone store
Does one plus 13r have esim? In the chinese version?
no
U sound like a pirate when u say 'R' 🤣
Just one question. Does the 13R have Portrait video?
It does!:)
@MarksTech on the front and rear cameras or just the rear. I'm guessing it's just 1080p
Amazon has the OnePlus 13 at £899.99 UK pounds and the 13r at $899.99 dollars = £738 pounds think id rather pay a little more for the 13
What are you talking about? The 13R is £679 in the UK and they are giving a £50 coupon to use so it's £630 right now.
Oneplus says: 13 charges at 100w, 13r? 80w...
This is correct. Only gotta not that the 13r comes with only a 55W charger in the box (at least in the USA).
*note
one' plus13 vs one plus 13r which one best phone 😊
We know which one is best. The point is which one is best for you? Clearly, 1+13 is killing all the flagships in the West. Yet for some of ppl, it's not worth the extra cash.
Pixel Fanboys been real quiet since the OnePlus 13 dropped.😂

@@katinasoutherland7693 This is the right attitude. Love from the red cable side😁
I have pixel 9xl pro and just got 13 and I like the 13 better then again I always liked op phones
I have a feeling, the OnePlus 12 traded in for 13, are recycled with a new back and sold as 13R with 1 lesser camera.
Oneplus 13R very good value, but I think when they come to UK, no charger in the box
Correct for both phones.
I wonder why 1+ isn't putting the charger in the box? Their normally not a greedy company?
Europe-wide.

That is a liar OnePlus 13 charge in 30 minutes i have oppo find x8 pro and takes 47 minutes.....
