I am 57 years old. I've been a Packer Fan and season ticket holder for over 40 years. I can, without a shadow of a doubt, say I have never been more excited about the Packers before the start of a season. I think the Packers are totally going to shock NFL football in 2024 and beyond!!
Moving Jordan Morgan around during OTAs let's all the other O-Line know that they need to bring it or they could lose their spot. Competition is a good thing. Same thing in the secondary with drafting 3 safeties and signing McKinnney
Overall I enjoyed your podcast. Doing a 32 team analysis isn’t easy! So no one should expect a very detailed analysis for each team that is 100% correct. That’s just too much territory to cover for the two of you. As a Packers fan that consumes a lot of content, I think you guys did a good job. You hit on the important aspects of the team and your analysis was good. Don’t be discouraged by the negative criticism. It’s easy to be a critic and take anonymous pot shots of someone else’s work especially without any skin in the game. Just keep doing what you love and you’ll better every day.
The Packers believe in cross-training all of their O-linemen. Morgan is not expected to know every position, rather he needs to have an idea of what every position is doing. Morgan will - like every O-line player in GB - be fine and I am not expecting him to see much playtime this season barring injuries.
That makes him a horrible pick. If you draft a LT in round 1 and he doesn’t start, you know you fckn up. Way better options on the board but they sht the bed
@@JefferyT1991 nope. Just like Jordan Love, we are willing to make sure a player is ready for the spotlight before we throw them to the wolves; especially, in a position as crucial as LT. BTW, what team are you a scout, manager of player personnel, or GM of that you think you know better than a team that for the better part of 30 years has consistently built solid o-lines?
@TravisBurton nah man cmon. Listen to JeffreyT man. He knows better. He said that if you draft a LT round 1 and he doesn't play, it's a terrible pick. Cmon man.
@@TravisBurton I am passionate about the team and when they make stupid choices it makes me angry. Morgan is a turd and I stand by my words with hope I’m wrong
Why? What makes him the worst?..hes an absolute unit..its a media narrative...Did Dexter Lawrence touch Love in the Giants game? The whole offense is qued up by jordan through his cadence..and Myers is a big part of that.
One second it was "figure out where Morgan is gonna play and stick with it" and the next it's a warning about the risk of pigeon holing OLs. I get where they're coming from throughout that conversation, but it feels like you gotta pick a lane there at least a bit.
Packers cross train their oline players starting as a rookie. So they know how each position works. That’s why each ol player can play guard tackle and center. Do your homework.
@@davlet53209 I think you're misunderstanding what I'm saying. I'm aware of Green Bay's approach, I'm a fan and pay close attention. I was saying the presenters in this video are the ones that need to pick a lane - not that GB shouldn't give their OL personnel reps across the line.

GB values experience heavily so unless Sean Rhyan just looks bad he’s starting at rg. Maybe he loses the job in season but probably not pre season. GB loves letting O line guys sit and learn until they’re ready and don’t have a crazy old owner to stop them. 1st round pick gives the bonus of being competition for everyone.
Reed, Watson , Wicks, Doubs, the Offense is going to Rock this year Kalen King is a good CB also so if Stokes can’t stay healthy we hav some depth there
Not sure what your rant about Jordan Morgan was about lol it’s not training camp yet. Why would you want a team to limit the development of a prospect especially at a position where versatility is especially beneficial

How about a draft dudes front office/ HC coaching acquisition episode? You guys touched on it, shanny, mcvay are the good current trees. Historically we know of the bad ones like the Belichick tree. Who are the current leaders, of not only innovation, but bringing in future leaders?
So the OL, an OL noted for its flexibility, needs to be more flexible, yet you want the #1 rookie to specialize. Fine lines here. Wait till DuBose makes the 53. The chatter will be crazy.

Sub optimal offseason for the Packers, sort of squandered a lot of their draft capitol and overpaid for two free agents. Still, they should be quite good.
They acquired the best safety in the NFL in Mckinney at 24 years old and let the worst one go in Savage who allowed 2 long TD's vs SF and cost them a SB last year. That alone makes GB SB favs. Mckinney is the 4th highest paid S in the NFL in spite being only 24 years of age (meaning he has 5 solid years left) and in spite being the best S in the NFL already. They got rid of the worst DC in the NFL in Joe Barry. They acquired the best RB in the AFC on a cheaper deal than Jones and is 3 years younger and less injury prone. They're paying him as the 5th most highest paid RB in the NFL and he's 26 years old in his prime yet they only guaranteed his first year salary meaning they can let him walk next year and no hit against the cap. That's a master class on how to manipulate the salary cap son. They cut all the fat (Baktiari (40 mil) Campbell (10 mil) Savage (5 mil) and more. They acquired the best RB, LB and S in the draft this season. So in summary they upgraded all their positions of need drastically qith either the best players at those positions in the NFL on solid deals or the best players in the draft at their respective positions. They ere already the best team in the NFL last season as they dominate the Lions and Chiefs easily but the refs gifted the 49 ers 2 TD's and stole one TD away from GB and GB missed a chip shot FG but were beating the 49ers for the entire game until the last minute just to lose by 3 points on the road against a terribly reffed game.
