Thanks, a couple of the doors were a real battle but I did check back with the owner and everything is working well. Once you tear out the old door the only thing to do is refuse to give up until it works.
I will give you a tip, take it of leave it. Set frame in hole. Shoot two 2-1/2 finish nails in top middle and bottom of both sides. Than set door. This way you can move/ pry around door until gabs & in and out are right (the nails will hold jamb in place) . Than shim and shoot in nails thru shims. Cut off shims, install. No need for screws. Installed hundreds of doors when i was younger. Cut off shime with Oscillating Multi-Tool.
Thank you. It is hard to teach an old dog new tricks. I certainly know that my way isn't the only way but I don't think I will be changing my ways at this point in life. Hope your advice will help someone.
