The city has larger populations that's why West called them crazy. Always larger people in all city for Christmas shopping as I used to live and work in Seattle Washington. It takes me hours to get enter the shop and look for a way to across for work, boss said no excuse for late, sometimes late like an hour or more.
Christmas is something all people of the world can share. It doesn't have to be viewed as something religious. It's simply a celebration of a new year coming, and a year passing.
Wow this is extremely beautiful and amazing I never knew Christmas can also be celebrated this special in china glory be to God Jesus is the reason for the season the king of kings all powers and authoritys but in heaven and on earth belongs to him and he rules forever
This is a commercial Christmas, beautiful but little to do with Christianity. Most of the Chinese there are mainly atheist or traditional Buddhist/taoist, few nominal Christians. They just enjoy the beautiful decorations and festivity of Christmas. In fact in ancient Roman, Christmas was a pagan celebration in honor of the Sun god. The Chinese do have a similar traditional celebration the winter solstice that usually falls on 22nd of December.
Only matters to you but not to the Chinese, People are there to enjoy the festivities. You want to pray all day long in your hypocritic church by all means go ahead :)
Yeah same with the majority of east asia, the concept of celebrating Christmas arrived to them because of contact with westerners and colonialism but they still stick to their original beliefs
Who wants to know how christmas started only people like you wants to the whole world.Today Christmas is celebrated as a birth of Jesus. In India just 2% are Christians, but Christmas is celebrated by many and today many are believing in Jesus and are getting converted. Conversion is a big issue today.
@@JojoAng-kv6kf Garbage. Chinese people as a whole are NOT following the Christian celebrating the birthday of Jesus. It’s just excuse to buy and receive gifts and to get in on the festivities that the locals enjoy!!!
Merry Christmas 😊👏🎄🌟🙏😇 May God's love enrichment your hearts. May the Lord Jesus Christ bless everyone with love, care and compassionate to one another.❤✨👌👏
I would consider going there, but I know I would never be fully accepted as a local in China. The population is largely homogenous in terms of phenotype, and I would always be seen as a foreigner. I think I need a place with a bit more of an international vibe. However, Shanghai could be great for a time, especially to connect with Chinese businesspeople.
Why would you want to go to a place where you are clearly not from to be fully accepted in order to go? By that standard you shouldn't leave your town even. I've been to New York and no one treats me like a New Yorker, does that mean I should not go?
Thank God for helping China the billions people nation got out of poverty and helping other poor countries! Hope there are more more markets like this in different parts of ShangHai!
Most of the Chinese are just celebrating Xmas as a cultural event, enjoying the vibe, very few religious factor considered, it's just like European walking into a China town in London during Chinese New Year time. People in China are too intelligent to believe in religion. Similarly, in Europe, fewer people are religious because the average level of education and critical thinking is higher compared to Americans. Since Chinese people often have an even stronger focus on rationality and science, religion is even less common there.
Xi Jingping is not happy. Just a matter of time, Christmas will be bigger than the Chinese New Year. Korea and Japan got rid of Lunar New year long ago. Happy Merry Christmas !

中国人过圣诞节只是喜欢热闹,并不是信仰耶稣!

Do they know the reason for the Christmas?
why should they know? not Chinese culture, they don't need to , but good reason for business
Japan and Korea also not know.
Japan treat Christmas like a day for dating or even a time for have sex.

You know nothing about Chinese culture 😂
Even in the west, not all of us celebrate xmas, let alone in CN, you worry too much about them.
少看点西方媒体的胡说八道的消息,人家过不过圣诞节关习总屁事?不要总是在你的脑子中臆想,中国是什么样子的?有空来中国看看
I wish the whole of China becomes a catholic nation :)
You know China was called Cathay by the Europeans in ancient times, don't you?
Chinese people believe in their ancestors and history, not your god coming out of nowhere😅
Little boys : noooooooo
发神经...people just need a reason to relax their life, and Christmas is, that's all.
and after become catholic nation, kill people everywhere like America and pretend like a santa?
Looks like German market except for you need digital id, and try to keep your mouth shut. Yes it's not banned, this year ...
And unlike in CN, you need to pay with cash in Germany for those drinks and food, yes, CASHONLY. I was blown away.
this is definitely more lively than the country you are in
