- In this video, Byron Martin discusses Banana Plant 'Veinte Cohol' (Musa hybrid):

'Veinte Cohol' is a unique and sought-after banana plant prized for its rapid fruiting cycle and adaptability. Native to Central America, this Musa hybrid showcases broad, lush green leaves, adding an exotic touch to outdoor gardens. Unlike many banana varieties that take over a year to fruit, 'Veinte Cohol' can bear delicious, sweet bananas within 8-10 months of planting. Although slightly smaller than your supermarket variety, the bananas are sweet and packed with rich flavor. The plant thrives in well-drained soil and requires full to partial sunlight. Ideal for tropical and subtropical climates, it reaches heights of 6-8’ tall, and can also be grown in containers in cooler regions, provided it's protected from frost.

I absolutely love this video, I think Byron Martin could grow anything in his greenhouse. Beautiful bananas.
Those bananas look marvelous
Looking very good! Congrats on getting fruit. I got a Veinte Cohol from you last winter. It's huge now, very quick growing. I'm running out of summer quick here in zone 6b, about to put him to sleep in the garage for the winter.
VERY interesting! Thanks Byron!
Glad you enjoyed it
Please upload videos frequently. Love the quality of content 😍

Absolutely beautiful.
I hope one day to get to visit.
May I ask, could you please make a video on your top 10 edibles to grow in containers? Thankyou!! ❤
Thank you for your comments and suggestion. Hope you can visit us someday.
Wow I know kind that babana. Sweet
How tall do they get? From the looks of yours I'm not going to bring it into my garage or house for the winter.
MY FRIEND DID THIS!😃🍌🌳
Have you thought about doing a vlog on gardenias grown in a container ?
Thank you for the suggestion.
Interesting. I grow banana (nana variety) in containers, in the south of France, and after 3 or 4 years I have two stems giving fruits, but they are still little and drying up, turning brown while still being little, I wonder why. They have enough water and sunlight. Maybe the container is not big enough for the bananas to develop fully.
Are you going to sell any edible plants or deals on any edible plants at your plant sale September 9.
Yes, we will have a lot of edible plants on Rare Plant Day! Hope to see you there.
Uncle I am from Bangladesh and I am plant lover. Uncle may I get some hoya plant please.
Do you all have any drawf banana plants that won't get so tall? I want something easier for me to reach, I don't want to have to get on a ladder to harvest.
Yes we do. Please see them here:

So did I hear that correctly, that it takes two years to grow bananas?
Yes, especially so in the northern/colder growing zones.
