Was up SCAFell last weekend with my youngest - we have decided to pitch up at sty head tarn next time around. We thought it made a lot of sense!!! And it wouldn’t be the lakes without the ☔️🌳⛰🏕👍🏼

The looks he gives you are class 😂 loving the views the opening time lapse was mint. I love it over that way. Big old mellbreak sitting looking awesome. Yeah you don’t want to be touching cloth inside your bivvi mind. Watched your other woodland camp too. Same applies. You know it makes sense 🤘🤘 catch ya later. 👍

      I would have been better off under a tarp and vent the bivy but the wind is unpredictable in the hills. A tent is always the best option in wet weather as you will already know. Don't tell your Granny how to suck eggs lol.. The western fells is the best place IMHO, easy to get parked and you don't see many people.

    Cracking video Damien fantastic views pity about the rain i like a tarp over the bivvy bag just incase it rains all the time gives you somewhere to sit atvb Jimmy 😎😎

    • @Fell_Wanderer
      @Fell_Wanderer  4 роки тому

      I would normally use a tarp Jimmy then vent the bivy, but its usually to windy up in the hills. That night it wasn't windy but didn't pack a tarp as I was trying to save weight. Thanks for your input mate, atb, Damian.

  • @neeway1620
    @neeway1620 4 роки тому

    That picture quality is fantastic! You can tell you've researched and invested well. I imagine it uses up a lot of memory shooting 4k but it's worth it if the shots come out like that. I've got a 1440p monitor so not quite viewing 4k but it looked amazing.

    • @Fell_Wanderer
      @Fell_Wanderer  4 роки тому

      I don't have the monitor to appreciate 4K also, its 1440p like your display. I film in 4K, 10 bit 4:2:2 internal at 150 mbps which slows my PC down but know the quality is there for editing in post. The video footage fills up a 128GB sd card in a couple of hours shooting and after editing, I delete the original files so only sits temporarily on my hard drive. Thanks for your comment, atb, Damian.

    It wont be long before you are the Little Wanderer and he is carrying you and your kit .🤣🤣🤣. Great little video and great to sea you out again. How long is your snugpak tent . I am looking for something like this for winter use if it big enough. I am 6ft 1inch and I have a 64 inch chest , and no . Not everything is in proportion. 🤣🤣🤣

    • @Fell_Wanderer
      @Fell_Wanderer  4 роки тому +1

      Inner dimensions are 91 inches long, 32 inches wide, and 20 inches tall so you would fit it. I do find it a bit clostrophobic when zipped in and trying to read a book or look at my phone but if you just want to close your eyes and go to sleep in a great lightweight tent/bivy for minimal camping.

      its not a bad tent for the money but the poles have broken on me, replaced 3 and have used the tent about 15 times. I had to use seam sealer as it leaked slightly but apart from that a cracking tent and well camouflaged in a woodland environment
