I actually read the story behind this. It was in Save Me From Myself (Heads book). Head promised Munky he wouldn't do meth the night before this interview. But Head went against his promise and snorted about 6 lines that night. That is why Head is acting weird, and Munky looks a little pissed at him.

they dont use solos because they dont need them. I think the no using solos thing is a very good way of making a song with a different structure. I think also that they both make interesting bases, arpeggios, effects and stuff and the two guitars are combined very well together.
I really think the guitarists of Korn are excellent at what they do. They aren't about to premier any major guitar concertos any time soon, but I think the sounds and moods they can achieve is truly outstanding and has really attributed to Korn's sound.

i play guitar myself, and playing fast and technical is easier then it looks, its not hard, i enjoy playing korn because when i do covers of the music i feel like the riffs are speaking through the instrument because the guitar tuning is dropped so low, it just feels good, but when i play technical its just to quick you dont get to enjoy the music and emotion itself, you concerntrate to much on playing the technical notes you forgot what the songs all about, just my opinion, im sure many agree.

I finally identified the guitar that Munky is playing, is a S540-7, meanwhile Head is playing a UV77MC, that according to some people is missing the volume and tone knobs.
You know, it's difficult to say this even as a Korn fan, and i think that this is what most Korn haters struggle with, is that they seem like complete Dipshits. but they did notice the 7 string guitar, and noticed the potential of such an instrument. They didn't stop at just the acquisition of this new instrument, which would have been interesting enough for new listeners, but they also decided to tune the guitar as low as possible, which additionally would have been more than enough for someone to try their sound, but then they went ahead applied this entirely new sound to the infancy of a genre like Rap/Rock with bands like Faith No More and Rage Against the Machine, and forged forward with Nu Metal with their own innovations. Say what you want about their behavior or whatever, they are fucking brilliant, you don't wander aimlessly into this kind of innovation, they are magnificent, as formulaic as the cunts that ripped them off became, that has nothing to do with them, it's a fucking dumb criticism to begin with, like any form of metal doesn't have their own formula.

The only albums with a few decent tunes were follow the leader and issues. To each their own, but I personally think they were toxic for the metal scene. Garegin Asatryan they hadn't figured down tuning out to that level yet. It was as low as any had gone at that point. You are accurate though mesugga (probably sp wrong) and a lot of bands go lower now and have been for awhile
