  • How to do the beginner Contact Staff Move, The Halo.
Check out more Contact Staff tutorials at flowarts.me/tut...
The Halo is one of the more challenging beginner moves. The move itself is not overly complicated, but is built upon by a lot of different tricks as you advance. For that reason you need to have a good clean Halo to learn a lot of tricks. But by paying attention to what the move is doing and practice you will get it pretty quickly.
Definitely a move to spend a fair amount of time cleaning up. And remember that this is a great move to learn on both sides as the staff will finish on the opposite, ready to be performed again.

Thank you dude. The way you explain it not being totally straight and the way you turned your body 90 degrees really made it click for me. I was doing ot straight across from the outside of my shoulders too. Made it alot more difficult for myself lol. Still succeed alot of the times somehow

I was so confused for a long time, just trying to get this move down, because when I thought you said "not parallel with the body" I thought you meant the whole staff in plane of your body... I was sticking my staff way outside the line of my body from this confusion... I hope I wasnt the only person confused by this video.

Great video (also- bless you), I'm having trouble with angel rolls and one video suggested I practice this move first. I also really want to learn a fishtail now that was smooth as hell. Thanks for the inspiration and instruction!
