I remember playing this one ages ago, and modding it to an extent with the help of another. There was also a version with nothing but Dodge Chargers from what I remember. Also, I've always noticed something about the game, which is the fact that the car on the cover (I think it's named Chaos) doesn't show up in it.
Thats because it got replaced by a kia spectra courtesy of kia. Same thing with later release of final drive nitro where the gladiator gets replaced by a honda civic si. Depending on release either the 06 model or the 08 model.
I went to WildTangent's website and was delighted to see some of the games I played during my childhood like Hyperball Racing, 18 Wheels of Steel, and some goofy farming simulatorish game called John Deere Drive Green, which I remember loving. All of the games mentioned... are not very good, especially Hyperball Racing, but I LOVED these games and would love to mess with them again for a nice trip down a nostalgic path I made as a kid. EDIT: Forgot about Big Rig Europe! LOVED that game too!!
Hey Atomic Purple, I think I found out how to crack this game. Final Drive Fury is basically the same game as Nitro, so I tried to crack the trial version of the video description with a Final Drive Nitro crack that I found and it worked
i forgot how i used to do this glitch in my childhood but if u observe map use 1st intersection forming a rhombus shape which u go thru tunnels if u manage to crash or respawn over there u will teleport and spawn above the tunnel which there is road overlapping u basically skip half the circuit 5:10 u will spawn on that road instead of tunnel
What some may not know about this game is that the engine for this was also used for Advergames that were made for Chrysler. In 2003 They made 3 versions of the same game, a Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler version. The dodge version is unfortunately lost but it did have the same gameplay as well but different tracks and music altogether. And like most of these they all had the same code so i could go in a hex editor to max out the amount of money lol.
The game was free to play. Another thing I remember is in the screenshots of the game in its game page, there was a seemingly cut car. The rear looked like a 350z if I remember correctly. I don't remember what the front looked like, but for some reason I remember seeing pictures of it also being in the menu, in the showroom. I might be mistaken on the showroom part. I checked the game files and it doesn't exist there either. It must have been cut before release, which is what I'm thinking. In those screenshots, I don't remember seeing the Kia Spectra, so it was probably cut because they had to replace it with the Kia instead. Edit: the loading screens seem to show the front of the car.
Two things about the upgrades: 1. While the upgrades do not really change the race outcome, the improved performance of the vehicle is noticeable. 2. Style DOES work. It improves the rate the points go up for stunts. While less noticeable for bigger tricks, its real power of this is to create 100 point tricks where there were none, making large combos easier. So unlike Nitro, Style first IS the best path for 100%.
The game was most likely sold for a price then became free. There's some screenshots of another car that was in the game that wasn't the Kia Spectra known as "Chaos". it was an entirely original car but I assume they scrapped it for the Kia. Either that or it was a placeholder car they never had any intention of being in the final game. But they used screenshots to promote the game as there are screenshots of this Chaos car in existence.
cool video, ive been looking forward for this review ever since you did your previous one about Final Drive Fury one thing that kinda bugs me is this video's structure. starting this video i was expecting a game review and not a "Final Drive Fury revisited" if you catch my drift. while the first bit is very informative and important i dont think it belongs to this video. dont get me wrong, this is cool and all, but about 50% of that video was themed around what you have said in the previous one and not about the game itself anyway, hoping for more content from you, fellow purple color enjoyer!
As soon as the WildTangent screen passes, I hear a split second of the menu music and then a Runtime Error pop up occurs, rendering the game unplayable for me. What am I supposed to do?

Brings back old memories. Used to play this game late 2010 to 2011

I used to break the game by doing this all the time.
I had so much fun sending myself out of the map and going lightspeed.
I absolutely love this game's art style
I remember there used to be Sprint ads in the nitro pickups. I think the ads in this game were based on something server-side that's long dead.
With Photoshop, I edited everything in this game in my childhood. Goodtimes!
I need to play this! I love trying really obscure games, especially racing games! 😊👍

they must have used cars from the previous fake as placeholder
Love your videos bruh 👍. I watch your videos because you are crazy good at finding games I hadn't ever heard of.
Pure nostalgia, it was the only free racing game that was worth a snort. Same with Red Ace and Bucks Revenge.

I just commented about that too. It seems like I'm not the only one remembering the "Chaos" car.
I used to play this game as a kid on my moms XP laptop.
I MISS WILDTANGENT GAMES :)

tried installing the version in the description and i can't play it. Looked through the comments and tried various ones and it still doesn't work
My game instantly crashes on startup, any reason why?
Edit: got past startup but crashes upon starting a race...
Good video bro
ah childhood
KIA SPECTRA/CERATO?
Happens to the best of us lol
YAY
What operating system does it run on?
As soon as the WildTangent screen passes, I hear a split second of the menu music and then a Runtime Error pop up occurs, rendering the game unplayable for me. What am I supposed to do?
it might be because of your OS,try installing windows xp or at least 7 on a virtual machine,if that fixes the problem
@@A_G_w_R I was thinking about that as time passed, maybe trying to run a 17 year old game on windows 10 isn’t the best plan of action lol
u gotta run it in compatibility mode for windows xp sp3
NFS Underground clone
