    Another great show Charlie and crew, Roy with the culling episode, showing how import that culling is to keep the herd strong and healthy and also by introduction of a strong bloodline. The education of young people is truly important so that they get to see how it is done humanely, ethically and how hunting plays such an important role in conservation of the worlds animal spieces. The fly fishing was great to see another great outdoor sport, catch and release, keep one or two for the pan, its just another day in the great outdoors, a day spent in the great outdoors is a great day spent, even if you don't harvest anything. Cheers!

    And another thing... Hunting UA-cam: I have very special memories shooting at Delnabo. What a brilliant place with fabulous hospitality. I have spent my happy hours chasing my old, and now late, GWP on the grouse moor up above that spectacular pheasant shoot on the Avon.

    Thanks for another very enjoyable episode. The Arundel Arms bit was excellent and it really made me think. I have a teenager that wants to learn to fish. My wife says we don't do enough together and should go away for a weekend. I feel a plan hatching.... Well done Edmund in front of the camera, can't have been easy. It is easy to imagine the conversation:
    "Get in front of the camera, Ed, and say something!"
    "But Dad, I just want to learn to fish..."
    "Get in front of the camera, I need a filler for Wednesday!"
    David at Arundel obviously just lives and breathes that river and came across as one of the thousands of true country people up and down the land that has so much knowledge to pass on and tell us if we actually ever took the time to stop and listen.

      Thanks Colin. I hope Edmund didn't look too coerced. Of course, as he was talking, what you couldn't see was me holding his mobile phone between thumb and forefinger above a bucket of water. Concentrates the mind 🙂. / Charlie

    In deer parks, we also shooting the animal in the head - that is absolutely normally also here in Switzerland.
    Sure, hunting in the field in normal hunts, we don't place heat shots at all.

    Quick heads up for all those that may be impacted by the proposed Animal Rights Bill in Scotland. If you have not filled in the consultation, you should. There is a section in nit which throws the presumption of innocent until proven guilty out the window and brings in the presumption of guilt until you prove otherwise. If this unjust bit of legislation creeps through we are on our way to a police state.
    For the avoidance of doubt, anyone that ever has or ever wants to shoot in Scotland, own a property or holiday there will be impacted by this proposed Bill. If this proposed Bill is passed in Scotland it will lead to similar illiberal laws, or worse, in the rest of the country.
    Get on line and fill in the survey.

    What calibre Tikka was Roy using ? 2:49 - Tell me if Im wrong as Im a newbie and never killed anything and so just researching and educating myself as much as I can, but I thought a head shot on deer was supposed to be taken from the front due to the hard skull on the side of the head. This shot looked like it was from the side !

    • @calumteeling6236
      @calumteeling6236 5 років тому +1

      Elfin4 the side is softer you should never shoot a deer from the front because it might hit the nose and won’t go in side and back off the head is the best for head shots but you shouldn’t shoot head shots when you are first starting

    • @Elfin4
      @Elfin4 5 років тому

      @@calumteeling6236 Yeah Im not planning on any hunting yet until I get membership of my gun club and do some real training and target shooting etc. I just watched the infamous head shot a few months back and was sure they said on that the head shot was from the front because the skull is harder on the sides. May be wrong though. Thanks anyway for your replay, Im like a sponge soaking up all the information and guidance I can get, but as I said I haven't killed anything yet and have no plans to try until I'm confident in my gun skills and comfortable on the range.

    As a community we need to stop supporting Trophy Hunting of non prey species, Lions etc are not food or invasive and I know some of you are going to say that are but it’s bollocks. It’s killing for killing sake and it gives Hunters a bad name.
