Hi from New Zealand to the guys of Fieldsports. That was one of the most enjoyable video's I've watch in a while! Reason being, it took me back to my teens when I started shooting with a shotgun. For a while it was with an adult friend over his ferrets (who did shoot one of his own ferrets) it came out the burrow attached to a rabbit and they both copped it 😮💨. I then started using purse nets until I could shoot better and then progressed to bolting rabbits on my own. Your video brought back many fond memories...........THANX.
Once again, nice hunting moments shared with you guys! Thanks for your camaradery and smiles always in your faces ! Loved that! Nice movie! When will be next one together ?! 😊😘
@@andrewharris4940 Well, they do have a deer problem too. And a fox can only take fawns up until they're about a month old. And with the abundance of rabbits, why should they go for a deer?
Fieldsports channel can you please clarify the thinking behind shooting the fox? I agree it doesn’t look good so would appreciate some background/justification as to why they are a pest in this situation.
Thanks for this. Although the foxes on Gotland helpfully take rabbits, they also take farm livestock, as well as wildlife, including groundnesting birds. Farmers want their numbers brought down. Sorry this is a point we did not make clear in the film. / Charlie
It does seem rather counter productive doesn't it. If you were a cynic you might say they were eliminating natural predators to keep themselves employed.
Cheaper and better with fiber optic than a red dot. The field of view and free sight you need with a shotgun is gone with an Aim Point. Makes no sense.

One fox down saves 10-15 roe deer a year plus much other small game so good conservation there .
Truffles and rabbits , good friends they are .
They have problem with rabbits, shoots an animal that hunts and kills rabbits.. 🤔
They have a rabbit problem not a deer problem
Very true conservation isn't just about rabbits it's about the whole wider aspect

Awesome stuff guys , great show 👍👍🤠
If there's other Swedes here, other than me, I bet they smiled when they heard the name of the ferret. 😁
Fair play for new things and all that but you dont really need that on a shotgun ,good vid though
Great bag of rabbits, but wondered why you shot the fox, when in this case its kinda on your side!
Good man Fred..
Rabbits are saleable there and also they get paying guns so have to keep Charlie down a bit! Those prople live there remember.👍
A red dot on those nice shotguns hurts my brain.
Snogging Great Video Charlie 💯💥💥💥💥💥💥💥

I need a dog like that to find minge😂
I thought people didn't tip in the UK.
👍👍🦌👍👍🦌🦌👍👍
Because foxes are too lazy to catch a rabbit
They are to quick for them
Why shoot the fox with an over population of rabbits

@@Jonnic3434 I love the show just didn't get that bit, especially when they put across hunting is all about conservation.
Exactly what I thought.
Because they attack livestock.
I'm surprised there is a ban on fix shooting on that island

With such a huge rabbit problem why shoot the fox??
Mmm clever an area overrun by rabbits and they shoot it’s natural predator the local fox 🦊 Darwin awards there
