8:19 That's a really impressive headshot considering he had his rifle lowered to the ground when he took the shot. maybe he threw the bullet Hot Shots style.
I thought there's a lot of fun to be had with this game - especially when you have most of the assists turned off. I didn't even hold my breath when sniping.
I thought it was alright for the price that I got it for. Just wanted some first-person sniping in modern times, and it delivered. But all the above complaints are true.
He's an academic focused more on the writing side of things while I'm far more mechanically-oriented. Partly why I like his content even though we're not often on the same page: it's a very different perspective. Joseph Anderson's the same way.
@@DWTerminator yep.... tried to search for a video on contracts from you man but didnt find one... wanted your opinion... deal ends i think on november first and the deal looks pretty sweet but i just got doom 2016 for $7 and sniper elite 3 for like $5 on psn a couple of days ago and those are vastly superior games for dort cheap so dont know if $15 technically for these games is worth it 🤷🏻♂️
I just got this game for $20 via PSN store sale... For that price it's a pretty good game... This game should have been $40 at release... I guess they have patched a bunch of glitches since release
Dominick Pazo Yeah it is not bad for 20 dollars... Id give it a B- or C+... The graphics are like a remastered PS4 game... The game play is prettty solid... Takes elements of Sniper Elite and Far Cry... Doesnt do them as well but it does them good... There are some technical hiccups like slow load times and getting stuck in between environmental objects... Ive gotten stuck twice in the environment in about 24 + hours of gameplay... The mission variety is what you expect from a Sniper game... Go here kill target. . Go here infiltrate steathy and steal documents or hack computer... Or overwatch... It also gives a good amount od side quests... They also have bare bones RPG elements, crafting anx upgrades.. Sound is alright... Guns are suppressed for the most part... Voice acting is like from a B rated movie whuch fits this story well... So with all that said is the game worth $60? No. Is the game worth it at $20? Hell yes..
Dominick Pazo No problem man.. And just so you know I play all kinds of games ranging from GTA, Battlefields, Witcher 3, Skyrim, Biishock, Mass Effect, Red Dead Redemption, Wolfenstein, various sports games etc... So im not talking out my ass lol
you didn't mention the technical problems DW (or I'm just deaf) I couldn't play trough this thing it crashed a lot especially on loading screens haven't you experienced such crashes
Lordx the In the end, that's all I want out of any game, enjoyment. So might as well try them. They must be a hell of alot better than the sniper ghost warrior games.
They've slowly been getting better over the years. If you can get it on sale for cheap, then I'd say Sniper Elite 3 is worth trying, maybe even V2. I have yet to play 4 though so I can't comment on it yet.
I personally loved all the mechanics in the game , my issue with the game was from all the bugs and frame rate problems and loading times on PS4 , it ruined my experience , I was so excited for this game and it really let me down , but I hear that the game has been patched since release and I’m a happy to see if it has become what I expected , so I will be buying it again , as these issues if fixed will be more of what I hoped for
@@DWTerminator well I have fun with it (still playing cuz I bought it for 7€ on Steam) I mean I am not compairing this to Horizon Zero Dawn or anything like that, my mind compares this with vanilla Skyrim with guns xD
Sure, it's not entirely reasonable to expect this to have the same production values as a AAA title, but for 7 Euro the question I'd ask is "why get this when you can get Far Cry 3 or 4 for the same price or less?"
Well this is technically an indie game since it was developed and published by CI Games... but I just review whatever I'm working on at any given moment. Sometimes that's indie, sometimes AAA, and sometimes it's middle market.
I tried this game. Got bored at the opening mission and returned it. By the way what do you think of Bethesda saying they don't give a crap about fan criticisms and that they will continue doing what they wanna do (creation club).
I struggled with a ton of bugs and glitches. I have 100 hours in the game and still haven’t managed to complete the game. After a series of crashed the game resets, and I have to start all over. I’m fed up with this game.
I havent played the game and so this is potentially not a spoiler. I bet that the plot twist is that your brother is leading the separatists. Im calling it now but ill see when it's done downloading and I play it.
I still like that game. Ironic that moust of problems you have with this game are problems that every Farcry game have. In the end it is Farcry with more better sniper elements. Unlike Farcry, story is not totaly cringe. ( Except Farcry 3 and Blood Dragon. )
SGW3 is just painfully derivative to the point of being a blatant ripoff of other, more popular games without any of the things that make those games actually interesting. Far Cry, for example, may not be particularly well-written overall, but the chaos of combat can be highly enjoyable so it doesn't really matter. SGW3 on the other hand is just dull at best.
Interesting part is Sniper mechanic. I don't say Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is some gem. But it is basicly on same level as Farcry games. Diference is they spend fraction of UBI budget. I don't agree that Farcry games are well written. Farcry games are better than Sniper Ghost Warrior 3. But i enjoy sniper mechanics more than farcry style gameplay. For me Homefront 2 is better game than Farcry 4 and 5. Obviously not for you. My point is that Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is Farcry in east Europe. Homefront 2 is Farcry in American city. Except Facry 3 and Blood Dragon, these game are almoust on same level as Farcry but more fun. At least for me.
I've never really liked the Sniper: Ghost Warrior titles. The first one was a buggy mess, and the second one was just boring yet playable for the most part. The third game, while I admire its ambitions, hasn't really caught my attention. As it plays out like a poor man's Far Cry, and even then I've played better open-world FPS than this.
Well, playing it on the hardest difficulty its a Completely different game. You played on Normal with the Mini Map, Marks etc. Then you gonna have the nerve to try & review the game 👎. The game was designed to have been played on the hardest difficulty.
Don't give me that "you must play on a harder setting" bullshit. It's no different than the morons who whine about not playing Halo on Legendary or Call of Duty on Veteran. You know damn well it doesn't matter. The game's designed for Normal difficulty to be the baseline. Period.
Awesome? Nah. It gets thoroughly repetitive and is too derivative of other games in exactly the wrong ways. The two follow ups, Ghost Warrior Contracts 1 & 2, are far better.
8:19 That's a really impressive headshot considering he had his rifle lowered to the ground when he took the shot. maybe he threw the bullet Hot Shots style.
LOL good eye mate.
Or maybe he knows how to curve the bullet.
I thought there's a lot of fun to be had with this game - especially when you have most of the assists turned off. I didn't even hold my breath when sniping.
Stil this game is fun imho.
Yeah, seriouly, I actually really enjoyed it.
I expected to hate it, but loved it... except for the extreme long shot "glitch." Watching this video makes me want to play it again!
I thought it was alright for the price that I got it for. Just wanted some first-person sniping in modern times, and it delivered. But all the above complaints are true.
You should play Homefront Revolution +DLCs then. I find it refreshing change from typical AA(A) seen-it-all, games.
I played Homefront: The Revolution... it was absolute garbage. I doubt the DLC's are any better.
Too nearly identical personalities with very different tastes. xD

Verily, I can barely tell you two apart. Would be interesting if you also tried road trip reviews. :P
I hate driving, so that'd definitely be a no-go.
This and sniper ghost warrior contracts are $30 bundled together including all their dlc on psn. Worth it?
$30 for both games with all their DLC? Maybe.

I never ran into severe technical issues like that. Mostly just performance hitching and physics glitches.
DWTerminator: I see must be something on my end then by the way is the questions and answers thing still going if so where can I ask you questions
Q&A questions can be asked in the discussion thread for them on the channel's Steam group or in the comments sections for previous Q&A videos.
Are the sniper elite games any good?
no, they are just mediocre, They are a rip off version of the Sniper Elite series which are far superior.
Deus Knight Ah okay. Thanks for the info
Abdulla Maseeh: they're good if you ask me I played all 4 of them end they're average you can get enjoyment out of them but nothing too serious

And how was it on your next go round?
Sniper: Mediocre Warrior
The poor man Far Cry
You mean poor man's sniper elite.
+Deus Knight Well more accurately in this game's case, it's more or less a poor combination of Sniper Elite and Far Cry.
Brutal! I love it!
is it wrong to actually like this game a lot?
Wrong? Not necessarily, but there are far better options available so there's really not much reason to bother with it.

Two words: challenge mode
Can tell the ratings by the voice tone right at beginning. Higher scores, higher pitch. Lower go with more guttural rumble.
Unless I'm really tired when making the video... or it's just *that* bad... in which case it's a crapshoot.
This was actually less negative than I was expecting.
