Judging by the amount of sweat on his shirt he also did this de-hydrated, truly impressive.
Sweat isn't really an indication of hydration levels
Pft he's always hydrated now. The sweat is just his insane energy leaving his body so it doesn't combust.
@@KKSHS11 whoosh, kind of
@@basicmeme1040 you might wanna to google that.
@@KKSHS11 my point is you missed a goofy joke about eddie
Say what you want about him, Eddie is one of the top 5 strongest humans ever.
The strongest.
Well to be fair he practically powerlifted during his whole prep for the boxing match with Thor (one of the reasons he got beat so bad) and after the fight. So in essence he never stopped lifting heavy, not surprised at all he's still this strong.
I think its more about the fact that he’s been “retired” since like 2018 and still is a contender
Very heavy, but not 240Kg. Considering the weight is not located perpendicular to the handles it is (D1/D2 X total plates + empty press) where D1=distance from hinge to weight location, and D2 is Hinge to handles. Estimating that D2=100cm and D1 is 60cm, the weight actually lifted is 60% of 240=144Kg, and adding the empty contraption ~20K=164kg.
Interesting...
This math ain’t mathin
This is absolutely right. Because the handles are farther from the axis on the machine than the weights, he uses leverage which makes it easier to move the weight.
What the fuck
dude its just 240kg from the machine, its not free weights, no need to get all scientific about it lol
He's back on this channel
Eddie is something else - at 6ft 2 or 3 (can’t quite remember) he’s actually one of the “smaller” strongmen. He can swim fucking lengths like a damn dolphin, hit 30-50 press-ups like a god damn lizard in a mating display, run and then lift like this.
I’m sure he is the combined product of every warrior, worker and grafter in human history, somehow, some way - through the infinite complexity of genetic inheritance and and human reproduction, - contributing DNA to this man.
Once in a thousand years athlete. Has he lived 1000 years ago, they would be writing sagas about this man.
before people hate i love eddie, but it would have never happened steroids didnt exist then😂
Top guy ever!! And a really nice guy in his everyday life as well! :)
The big British dumpling
Forever Eddy the beast Hall 👌💪💪👍
That hercules gene going brrrr
Let's see Eddie do an Olympic clean& press of much lower amounts.
Another commenter worked out angle indicating no greater than 160+ kg that Middle Weights 165lbs 75kg were pressing by 1972 and they cleaned the weight.
Recent pictures of Eddie don't resemble this video .
Eddie after his disastrous boxing episode is trying to make a comeback.
Ok so wasn’t that audio just from the “lifting vault” channel?
Unless this is a random second channel I’m pretty sure this channel is just straight up taking his content.
OGs would know that he had this channel first before creating "lifting vault"
It sucks seeing eddie in videos. Because you just know when you see him, look down in the comments and you'll always find people saying some negative shit about how he's "arrogant, fat, and dumb" or something similar. As though he's done something that warrants these name callings. I see this with certain people in a lot of industries tbh. Fans pick out someone to hate on and I think its more of a reflection of the type of person who does that than it is the person they're hating on most the time.
Well, he is arrogant--he's a shit talker, and he does say stupid things--saw him quasi defending Andrew Tate the other day. I don't care if he's fat, that's part of being a strong man, and I respect him for his records, but he doesn't seem like a fantastic human being.
yeah they are just hating on his entertainment persona. Eddie is a great guy here working out with his son, is married and seems to be a good father. That's a good guy
He did compete just last year.
Injured himself instantly because he didn’t prepare.
You mean hydrated eddie hall?
He is huge too
Man that plate could of fell on the junior
why has this guy got multiple youtube channels? Very strange.
Dang I only got that same weight for one rep...... On deadlift
That is still an awesome top tier lift for a natural. Anything beyond 250kg is propably elite.
Not bad, I can only do those for 8
yeah lol
He’s retired from strongman but he still lifts ofc he’s still got majority of his strength??
He does bodybuilding tho
I’m disappointed at the people doing physics and mathematics saying it’s not 240kg because it’s a machine.
You all forgot to summon Plato from the dead in Ancient Greece to work out which astrology sign is closer to Eddie and then use SOH CAH TOA to work out the hypotenuse angle the machine is facing while also subtracting weight from the distance of the moon in its cyclical cycle as it’s closer to earth on the current hemisphere meaning gravity has fluctuated a touch so the 20kg plates are actually .00032g less than what they should be.
i heard 4 reps.. mildly disappointed
Its impressive as hell but why u say 4, its 3 reps.
Also can you pls check out Andrew Richards he needs more following he's 100% natural and has a 465 lb overhead press it's crazy
2 Reps.
Of 530 solid ass pounds
Just wondering, who thinks this is an effective set even if Eddie wasnt retired, or who thinks this is a very strong man trying to simply display his strength for the pure/raw enjoyment he clearly gets from lifting heavy even relatively for him?
Listen, 1-2 rep range still works muscle regardless of any person's opinion.
It's usually the weaker men who talk about low range reps being ineffective
@@raulduke3237 Very much agree, I was more referring to the technique and that this is probably more load he can actually do for even a single
@@emmang2010 Now thats js hatin. His form aint that bad
@@Timo-rm6bgI mean his essentrics are faster than his concentrics for one.
Eddie’s core and Lower back are strong as fuck for that lift
furst
Furst in my heart
wurst
This is not 240kg, since this type of machine uses leverage. The real weight lifted is about 60% of the weight on the machine.
It is 240 kg actually.
@@TheUnboxerMan It is not. He could never lift 240kg's for reps with just hid shoulders. You shouldn't make any statements about the weight if you can't understand a simple concept of leverage. You americans never cease to amaze me with your stupidity.
@@pachyderm8264 Im fully aware of that, that's just not how you count weights in training. On that machine he did 240 kg. Those are just the facts. Leverage is irrelevant in this case.
Of course he couldn't lift the same weight on a barbell. If he had to log this in his training he would put down 240 kg. It's just how it works buddy. If you ever went to the gym you would know that.
I'm not American though. Have no idea how you could possibly come to that conclusion. You can try to insult me all you wan't, but the fact of the matter is that in training this will always be counted as 240 kg.
@@TheUnboxerMan This comment is completely accurate. There isn't anything else to it...
@@TheUnboxerMan Yea sure you can count it as 240kg in training as long as no one claims his actual hands and shoulders do the work of lifting 240kg's in the air. But if you wanted to be accurate of how much weight is on your shoulders it is about 60% of that used weight.
