I probably show those episodes back in the day. The Temps' were one of the biggest groups when I was in high school. It was like it was required to be cool at my school to own the Temptations Greatest Hits album, whenever at someone house you'd see a copy of it by the record player. A great time in music.

Thanks for posting. I saw this show back when I was a teenager. You knew this was a special group for sure, that would go down in the history books. Thanks again.
@@johnbarron2269 Eddie was fantastic but David had more stage presence and leadership ability and a more universal voice Eddie was more limited with his falsetto but extremely talented and I love them both❤️🩷
I was about to mention the same thing that they're all tall. In fact they're all over 6 feet tall. I think Otis followed by David were the tallest and then the others at various 6 feet heights. That's why Lloyd the host joked they were basketball players 😂
Good God! Take me Time Machine. Watch it every afternoon during the school week right after school. He was a poor man‘s Dick Clark, but he had great acts that performed on his show. Wonderful memories, wonderful times. We were never that innocent again . All hell broke loose in this country within a couple of years after the show. Never such innocence again.
It was REAL NICE how, Melvin Franklin, who is FIRST, from, left, to, right, at, 11:10, came off of that spin at that point. He planted his right foot, and, immediately lifted his right heel to, keep in with the beat.-VERY NEAT MELVIN.
David had that swag. Only a few men can claim that . Swag ain't about looks, body, it's jut a thang that commands attention. Swag fills a room when he enters. Obama, Bogart, David Ruffin, Gable, Astaire, and a home town boy name James got or had swag. It's as rare as wisdom.
HEYYYYY, HEYYYYY, Pat Bradley, at, 0:17. Just like the Chicago Cubs late/great announcer Jack Brickhouse would say-"HEY HEYYYYYYYYYY,"(Pat Bradley)-HEY HEYYYYYY
Beginning at, 7:52, one can see that Eddie Kendricks, who is furthest to your RIGHT, is the tallest one in the group. That is something that was unknown to me.
Eddie Kendricks is standing CLOSEST to the show host at, 10:21, with his arms folded. He looks like he isn't going to sing, or, dance. It is REAL NICE how he BUSTED OUT with those moves at, 10:24. Call him, "Fast Eddie."
Paul Williams is WELL KNOWN as the BEST DANCER of The Temptations. He is the one FARTHEST TO THE RIGHT, at, 12:29. That is where I detected a fault in his routine. He leaned out too far with his left arm after turning around, and had to get back his balance. Look at it WELL, because, you WON'T find many others from him.
The sign that says, "property of Research Video," in the upper right, is in the way. It covers solo singer David Ruffins face from, 2:38, to, 2:53. It does the same thing from, 2:58, to, 3:12. Solo singer Eddie Kendricks face is covered from, 4:47, to, 5:02. It is also shielded from, 5:04, to, 5:37. The SHOW PRODUCER(S) should REALLY BE ASHAMED because, from, 7:11, to, 8:11, Eddie's face is covered when, OF ALL PEOPLE, THE SHOW HOST IS TALKING. Everyone on stage should have their face visible at all times, when the host is speaking.
Absolutely without a doubt, The Temptations were undisputedly the best singing, performing and best looking group of ALL TIME! PERIOD!!

Such a lifelong class act.🎉
Paul Williams, who is FOURTH, FROM, LEFT, TO, RIGHT, OF THE FOUR WHO ARE TOGETHER, did a NEARLY PERRRFECT, turn-and-stop, at, 11:08.-THAT WAS SUPER.
Son of a Gun They're the Temptations
Yes. I remember this as well. David before eyeglasses 😅😂
This was in February 1966.
My Everything Eddie cornbread Kendricks
Eddie Kendricks says, "heaaaaaaart," VERY WELL at, 11:31.

That was a NICE, "turn-back," to get back to the group, at, 12:37, by, David Ruffin, who is second from your left.
Nice, DEEP, "fo-fum," by ,Melvin Franklin at, 4:25.
HEYYYYY, HEYYYYY, Pat Bradley, at, 0:17. Just like the Chicago Cubs late/great announcer Jack Brickhouse would say-"HEY HEYYYYYYYYYY,"(Pat Bradley)-HEY HEYYYYYY
He two on each end, did a HILARIOUS three-look head-twist, at, 4:54.
correction: The two on each end.....
David where are your power glasses?😱🤦♂️
😅😅!
@@michaelmitchell5098 I am being so honest😂 David without his glasses is like Superman without his cape😂

Neither Otis Williams, nor Paul Williams pronounced the, "s," in their last names at, 0:25, in the video. Each of them said, "William."
America bandstand then came soul train
Paul Williams was ready, AND, dancing at, the 8:57 mark, before any of them.
While the young people were introducing themselves at the beginning, I'm almost ABSOLUTELY SURE that the guy at, 0:12, said, "Clark Kent."
Paul Williams, at, 0:26, did not pronounce the, "s," on his last name. He said, "Paul William."
The way that they say, "feeeeeeeeet," at, 10:46, is, BEAUUUTIFUL. It's just as BEAUUUTIFUL, how they say, teeeeeeeeeeell, at, 11:06.-My God
He did!
Paul Williams' voice at, 11:07, is, OUTSTAAAANDIND, at the last part of, "teeeeeeeeeell."
correction: OUTSTAAAANDING
Very good spin at, 12:37, by Melvin Franklin. He's on the end, at your left, with the deep voice.
Beginning at, 7:52, one can see that Eddie Kendricks, who is furthest to your RIGHT, is the tallest one in the group. That is something that was unknown to me.
Great clip. Huge graphics mess it up though

"Ladies and gentlemen, THESE are THE Temptations!" Not Otis Williams and his Temptations Revue.
@@bustabass9025 So True
The white dude confused the tempts. He was supposed to sing , while they were showing him the dance steps.
Yeah he was a bit of a doofus 😂
❤Lloyd Thaxton and the Temptations wow
They always had the white hosts try to clown-up the act. Must have been a condition of black artists appearing on their shows.

Because of racial segregation back then, Black and Brown people were not in every dancing room. but Motown helped change that with music for everyone

The classic five not the original five! I don't care what nobody says, they just weren't the same after Ruffin though they were still great!
Look at the one on the FAR LEFT of the screen from, 9:02, to, 9:06. He seems like he's trying to figure, "what in the WORLD is REALLY happening?"
You can TELL that David Ruffin needs glasses. His eyes are STRAINING at, 0:54, 1:12, and, at, 1:36.
How funny-David Ruffin had to leave, at, 9:05.
The sign that says, "property of Research Video," in the upper right, is in the way. It covers solo singer David Ruffins face from, 2:38, to, 2:53. It does the same thing from, 2:58, to, 3:12. ASK THE ARTIST TODAY TO DO THIS . HA Ha! Without auto tones.
MELVIN was always out of step 😢😢 kept on singing though,,,,
It was Otis and Eddie that were always out of step, not dancers at all. Melvin and Paul were the dance kings. Watch closely and you'll see.
