Boy, you are not kidding Ary! As much as I fix ALL of my stuff, I would have probably taken it to my buddy Sarkis to have him do that as splitting an AWD case in the driveway would have been a royal pain in the arse and my landlord probably wouldn't have appreciated it! The job would have been much quicker at his shop but, thankfully, it was not needed and I am back on the road for under $100 thanks to Mike! Thanks for watching and see you soon!
Thanks Mike! Yes, I had never seennthat before and I really lucked out! $80, 2 hours labor and my daily is back on the road! I have to get caught up on your videos! Thanks for watching and have a great week!
Ain't that the truth Chris! Having to yank out the all wheel drive driveline just to get to a flexplate would have been a real nightmare! I got off lucky on this one! Thanks for watching and I am going to watch your first drive video with the '29 now! Take care and have a great week!
Wow Jeff, good catch, yes the way the bendix was flopping around looks like you nailed it right off the bat, you know I thought this was the speedo fix video, lol, that’s ok I’ll be waiting for that one👍👍
Thanks Mike! I literally had started making both videos and finding myself in the position where I was relying on my truck for daily driver duties pushed me to get the Denali done quick! The truck has an issue that needs diagnosing next as well as a trans cooler line leak that needs attention soon! Luckily, I am nearly half done with the speedo video and will have it out Sat. morning. Thanks for the encouragement Mike and thanks for watching! Have a great week!
Hey Jeff. That sure beats changing a flexplate. Im thinking about sending some parts out to your Buddy to have rebuilt. I love the old shops like that most have closed around my area. And yeah them trucks do have a nice rumble to them. Have a good one Buddy 👍
I was soo happy I did not have to change the flexplate on this one Don! With the AWD driveline on this thing, I probably would have taken it to a buddy of mine at a local Chevy dealer here. I wouldn't have had the time to have my daily down that long, especially since my truck needs work too! Mike is a great guy and a walking dictionary for the starter and generator part numbers! I actually told him about you as you are an original parts # guy too so, he should be checking out your channel soon. The one thing I can't get him to do is to put together an electric wiper motor! He will do his own stuff but, not a customers. He says they are a real pain! I'll keep working on him though because I have one that needs to be put back together soon! Thanks for watching Don and have a great week!
I really thought it was a cracked or broken flex plate too! I really got off cheap and lucky on this one! Thanks for watching Giveblood and have a great week!
Well Jeff, as much as I’m sure you’d rather spend the money on parts for one of your 55’s sometimes the daily’s need a little love too! Glad it wasn’t anything too serious and you were able to fix it yourself! Have an awesome weekend buddy!
Thank you Raymond! Mike really did me a solid favor on this one and the starter really works well! I am really lucky it wasn't something worse! Thanks for watching and have a great week!
It's a good thing you know a thing or two about vehicles. If you had been a little old lady and took it to the dealership you would have paid through the nose. Probably would have told you that you needed a new transmission and God knows what else! Nice fix brother 👍
Boy, isn't that the truth Gorni! I have worked on a friends Tahoe because she got ripped off with a bad brake job on the car using cheap parts and I hate to see shops do that! That's someone's mom and nobody would let their mom get ripped off! Thanks for watching and have a great week Gorni!
Yeah Bud Glad to see that's was the Starter,👍 But I think cussing and Swearing and a2x4 is the manual in fine print in these newer vehicles 😂😂. Have a good one Jeff ✌️
Thank goodness it was something simple.
Getting that transmission out of the awd fustercluck is no small task😅

Looks like it turned out be an easy fix.
Yes, I sure lucked out Nathan! Thanks for watching and have a great weekend!
Got to keep the daily right! I’ve worked on mine all week.
So true Rick! I got everything fixed on this one and a week later, I have about 3 more things to fix on it now!🤦 Thanks for watching!
Great job figuring that out Jeff. I’ve never seen that happen to a starter in my years wrenching. Hope you’re having a great day.

Got lucky on that fix Jeff. Lot better then a broken flex plate not much fun changing one of them. Take it easy 👍🏻
