NPR is not PARTIALLY funded, it is MOSTLY funded by tax dollars. It is supposed to be non commercial , but they all have commercials and sponsorships and they STILL beg for donations from listeners, acting like they can’t make it, if people don’t donate, which is NOT true.

I work in radio. The NPR station in LA had an ad for employees. It’s MINIMUM requirement was a Bachelors degree and you must FLUENTLY speak TWO languages, preferably Spanish or Chinese.
Chinese? This is an ALL ENGLISH RADIO station.
I didn’t get an interview, because I’m a white man.
My friend a black woman, with LESS experience did get an interview. She said ALL of the stations employees were Asian women, except the on air hosts who had white voices.
By requiring people to be multi lingual , they are basically saying, “we don’t want white Americans “
And of course their ad STRESSED that they were DEI and STRONGLY ENCOURAGED anyone who wasn’t white and straight to apply.

They also get funding from Democrats in Congress. The Dems keep voting to approve their funding, SOooo all of their coverage is WAAYYY more in support of Democrats.
