Late to the party but, as an experienced woodworker, mechanic and technician, you are a great creator. Accolades to you for your imagination, planning and execution. It is pleasing to see a young person use tools correctly and take necessary safety precautions to satisfy a custom need. Well done and continue with the content for small space. I am now a new subscriber.
@@Sammitch my husband and I are looking at building our own in a sprinter van because we have 2 kids, we kinda need the extra head room for bunks. This looks like it would work good as a pull out that could be used as a bench seat at a table.
This is great. No fancy carpentry, just good materials & tools, a simple design and accurately assembled. I am now saving up for a table saw, long clamps and a dowel drill.
well done. problem solving by reverse engineering with the sewing plan was brilliant. I hope this video gets people attention and they rush to patreon and you can get some more clamps. I love that your work space is becoming a living space as people usually do it the other way round. it would be a great place to wake up in. never changed Chris keep being yourself.
Your videos always conjures enormous smile on my face, but this time it was even better. Thanks once again for making my day. And don't let those annoying details of projects ruin your mood. Keep up the good work. I'll be looking forward for the next video.
Honestly you are a marvel. Todays world is about how fast and how cheap. Your mind is a marvel. I want you to know how much I appreciate your thought process. Details are always the beauty of a finished project.
That's the good side of being able to get loads of information these days. Most of the kids today misuse the power of all the information they can observe through the internet! That makes me so happy to see. Getting inspired by young folks is truly beautiful!
Awesome instructional ! I was working in a cabinet shop when I was younger than you and learned a lot of those techniques. Also the cushions are epic good. So glad you have the space and tools to make your furniture. I love multipurpose furniture. So I made my headboard a movable chair back so I can watch tv with good posture. I went to engineering school in Wisconsin and worked in building and designing large machinery. Good luck and keep posting.
This gem ended up in my recommendation section and god that's awesome. this is instructive and oddly satisfying. Some day I'll use your plans to make my own furnitures as well. Thanks a lot!
I hardly ever comment on any videos but this was such an awesome build. You have the talent I wish I had. As a beginner I would love to one day be as good as you.
I am 66 and disabled but, I plan on shaming my husband into do this. He is so good at building things, so I know that he can do it. I myself have found out that I am really good with miniatures. So glad to have found your channel. God bless. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
You're amazing, both as a woodworker and a video producer. Found this site by accident and immediately subscribed. Looking forward to your next project.
you seen so you young to do this but I am so impressed with this you sold me. I sent this to my husband this is wonderful idea for our patio. and front room and our sons whom are all grown up.
completed this project successfully with 19 mm board, my son loved it, put lamination on top and paint inside, thanks for the details (i had bought it long back completed it now)
I am in awe! From design to execution, this is incredible! It's also exactly what I'm looking for. I have to try it. I'm brand new at this, so wish me luck!!
U make me believe that there are usual people with a great taste for details there. Thanks for leaving the bits about the process mistakes in. Those are important for us to learn when we go into our own projects. (:
I Just want to thank you for all your amazing content throughout the years! You have brought me many enlightening ideas and much peace of mind in hard times; I truly and respectfully thank you for the many, many times your videos eased the stress of my day to day life. Thank you for being yourself and doing what you do!
Awesome design! Very modern and practical. Perfect for small spaces that may need temporary accommodations. You should make a whole line with this aesthetic/function.
Love love love this!! Was looking everywhere for something like this!! I'm making it with one change, I'm making the bottom pull out with a bottom and where the top opens, for storage of blankets, it will be heavier, but that's ok :) I'm a 63 year old women and love finding new things to make :) You're brilliant :)
I loved the design! Watched the whole video, I've never made anything out of wood and this seems like a nice way to conserve space! Keep up the video's I love them, thank you!
Your videos are always inspirational 👍 An fyi for next time, there is a method for getting foam into the cushions that involves wrapping them first in thin plastic and using a vacuum to suck out the air from the foam making them smaller. Once inside the cover the plastic film is torn out. I really admire your work 👍
Awesome build and another example thank the heavens that we still have CRAFTSMEN or persons 😊 who can use their creativity AND their own hands to make things. Simplistic and yet truly inspiring 👀👍
I make wood chairs and wooden box storage chairs, I also helped my sister build a storage box bed, but my skills are not up to this level yet, however, I learned a lot through watching this and I hope that one day I can reach this level.
I can't believe how talented you are! Great job! I'll subscribe even when I don't have any materials to do any of this stuff... I love what you do, congratulations!
First off love the project, I'm actually very excited to build something like that for myself! Secondly, and I cannot stress this enough, your video skills and camera quality are very very very good. Excellent clear shots of the cutting, assembly, design plans, etc. I always like a good, detailed voice over for instructions. You have a wonderfully intriguing voice and super cute accent, yet you are very well spoken so it isnt hard to tell what you are saying. Sorry, I could go on and on about how great it is, but everyone already knows lol. This may be my first video I'm seeing from you, but it surely won't be the last. I look forward to seeing more. Thank you!
What if the floor-rolling angle of the triangle was a bit rounded? And maybe instead of the magnets triangles just 2 pieces flipping with the bed when goes down? Like little legs? I'm impressed by your patience
Jesus Christ, some of these comments are awful and/or just plain mean. What a shame. On the bright side, this project is fantastic, I love the concept and it looks very usable and sturdy in all 3 states!
Brilliant. You may not have all the power tools, specialty devices - even clamps, but you are competent with rabbits , dowels, sewing and original thinking. Remarkably professional video with splices cleverly edited to emphasize your job-related thoughts, environment and frustrations from beginning to end.
The one seat Kivik (Ikea) is VERY similar, just doesnt convert into anything but a chair. Although it does come with matching foot stool and other designs that will work together.
I wish I had your skills (and your tools) as this is something I'd love to have for my house, maybe even two. I also wish Ikea or someone sold your product in Australia. Congratulaions, such talent!
wow super what a lovely creation an wow you got it talent an just love watching all details so well explained you got your own business on the way go for it its a one of a kind sale so ideal an talk about saving space I think you can always use your bottom section for your bed sheets an quilt dont you think real lovely sofa bed tumbs up for you congrats oh an your great in sewing also good luck in sales
Haha, she is so cute. Seems not bothering her when there is drying process of the wood, yet she was so annoyed by the cover. I would too~~~ haha. cute. and so talented!
This is incredible and exactly what I’m looking for for our family! Incredible job. Well done. I can only dream of doing this and give info my kids the incredible gift of creating like you have.
Found this channel a bit ago and absolutely fell in love with everything you've done Once yet again you've created a masterpiece! Please continue to make content!!!!!!
What a great concept! I am looking for a foldable platform like that for a bed in my campervan. Oh, I bought a RZ Mask using your discount code. Thanks!
I don’t know why this came up on my feed but I was fascinated watching the whole thing. Such a talented guy. I’d love to have one of those. Thanks & see ya😁
Very nice work, it is simple and elegant at the same time. As a shipwright I enjoy seeing young people getting into working with their hands. I think you will agree it is enjoyable taking an idea and making it real and something you can hold and feel. I think doing computer work would drive me crazy because at the end of the day you have nothing to hold and touch at the end of the day.
What is my name, age, city, studies, etc etc etc? Watch the Q&A video ua-cam.com/video/Dj533TcqR5Y/v-deo.html
Get Hands Dirty you are one of the most skilled young man I've known :)
I thought she was a man too(more like a young boy) I blame the thumbnail!
but who cares about gender?
You rock!
Maybe we could stick to the carpentering / art part of these blogs and leave everything else for church time.
***** oh sorry hehehe i really thought she's a HE. But more appreciation for her skill :)
Get Hands Dirty who are women or men?.. hehehe newsub

Very nice. Impressed with your patience in getting that mattress/pillow done, knowing myself I probably would've thrown it out at some point.
Me too! I have the resolve of a 5 year-old.

This looks like it would be great for tiny houses, micro apartments, or kid/teenage rooms!
Agreed, I’m looking for Camper Van ideas
@@Sammitch my husband and I are looking at building our own in a sprinter van because we have 2 kids, we kinda need the extra head room for bunks. This looks like it would work good as a pull out that could be used as a bench seat at a table.
mrsjokerstout I think it can work but may get tedious to put into a bed and back. Plus the work required to build. Very neat concept tho
mrsjokerstout My thoughts as well!
How about van/bus conversions?
This is great. No fancy carpentry, just good materials & tools, a simple design and accurately assembled. I am now saving up for a table saw, long clamps and a dowel drill.
Nice job calling out the safety hazard with your hoodie ties vs the table saw. Too many folks would have let that go!
That moment gave me goosebumps... I'm glad nothing happened.
well done. problem solving by reverse engineering with the sewing plan was brilliant. I hope this video gets people attention and they rush to patreon and you can get some more clamps. I love that your work space is becoming a living space as people usually do it the other way round. it would be a great place to wake up in. never changed Chris keep being yourself.
That's an incredible comment, thank you so much for these nice words!
wow, you are talented, if i was Ikea i'd be buying your ideas in this moment! Thanks for sharing in such detail!
Samir Alhejaj he's a guy?

Her father is a professor of Philosophy, right!
She's a girl. Can not you see?
well she looks like a guy, duh
This looks like it’d be an amazing item to have in a tiny home. A full bed, and lounge area while not having to be a metre off the ground
Your videos always conjures enormous smile on my face, but this time it was even better. Thanks once again for making my day. And don't let those annoying details of projects ruin your mood. Keep up the good work. I'll be looking forward for the next video.
Thanks for the encouragement and I'm so happy you liked it :)
You are really a talented teacher- you explained the whole process beautifully 😇👌👌
That is probably one of the best DIY creations I've ever seen!! Looks like I could go down to a store and buy that!
No joke, if she was selling one I'd buy it.
That's great to hear! :)
TheEvanH09 Looks like a boy
ETRAUD NIVEK cool story
ETRAUD NIVEK so? Does that matter? She's a talented crafter.

A complete stranger is proud of you! Amazing! Good job! You are a special talent! Keep going!
Your brain is required in the custom camper van industry. Nicely done. I really enjoy when you improvise and adapt.

When I grow up, I want to be just like her😊😊😊❤️🇨🇦
Wow, wondering has Ikea offered you a billion dollar contract yet to be a lead designer? You are a genius!
Ahahaha, not yet :p

I don't speak English, but I looked for the translation just to tell you "nice project, I love it".
UA-cam is ill today, it actually recommended me some high quality content.
You really should be very proud of yourself Nice to see a young man making good use of his time
You are amazing and gorgeous. I love your aquarium as well. You seem to put a lot of care into things you make. Wonderful.

The irony - I just watched a video about that two days ago that came up on the suggestion bar! Next time I will know it. Thanks for stopping by!

them!
it does certainly have a very IKEA feel to it
I always wonder why Ikea doesn't do Murphy beds.
I agree I'd love to buy this design for a conversion bus.
The one seat Kivik (Ikea) is VERY similar, just doesnt convert into anything but a chair. Although it does come with matching foot stool and other designs that will work together.
I think i would like to buy "This Dude" instead i buy from ikea his idea
You are exceptional in the work you do. You have engineering skills all in you. Excellent video!💯❤❤❤

I wish I had your skills (and your tools) as this is something I'd love to have for my house, maybe even two. I also wish Ikea or someone sold your product in Australia. Congratulaions, such talent!

What a great concept! I am looking for a foldable platform like that for a bed in my campervan. Oh, I bought a RZ Mask using your discount code. Thanks!
Very talented lady
Just my thoughts, this would be perfect for a campervan, although I don't have even half of these tools nor her skills using them
Very impressed by the whole process! And in addition, you tackle sewing successfully! So talented!
I used to say to fellow students in college, "It's not a mistake it's a design feature"...
Goddamn it's satisfying to watch some on-the-fly problem solving. Fantastic design, beautiful execution! I'm so happy after watching this :D
Adorei esse projeto... já salvei pra fazer futuramente! Parabéns pela qualidade dos vídeos. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I don’t know why this came up on my feed but I was fascinated watching the whole thing. Such a talented guy. I’d love to have one of those. Thanks & see ya😁
Very Impressive 👍you made it look like a piece of cake
This is great, I just discovered your channel! It is so good.
I second that
Me too
What you create is always impressive!
Very nice work, it is simple and elegant at the same time.

I think doing computer work would drive me crazy because at the end of the day you have nothing to hold and touch at the end of the day.
Panel Connectors -- that's what they are called. A Connector Bolt with a Cap Nut would also work. Rockler sells them.
Thanks for letting me know :)
Bert Vanderveen I also heard they were called Dakota screws

I'm so impressed with the sewing job, jesus christ.
What a pro! A good carpenter and tailer.
