    You are so creative when it comes to modern, plywood furniture! Also creative in bypassing sewing! It is modern, functional and multi-purpose! Love it!

    This build is awesome. Simple, practical, unique and good looking. I also appreciate how you’ve edited the video, I often find the pace of these kind of videos too slow but you nailed it. That wasn’t supposed to be a pun.

    This is way better than your last video. Its functional, meets a specific need and is a good design for cost effective diy - better than a plywood desk for 1k $$$ costs. Thanks!

    Top tip for glueing sheets together is to use rock salt between the sheets it bites into both and stops the shifting

    I like the simple design of the sofa bed. But I have to point out, please use a workbench as your damaging you're back every time you work on the floor. A bad back is and can be both painful and disabling.

    how many hours did you spend building this sofa? Is it possible to use MDF board for this purpose? ( or it not strong enough )

    • @nilssxrgerx55
      @nilssxrgerx55 4 роки тому +2

      Simple Life Hacks MDF in it self is pretty strong, but it wouldn’t work for this purpose.. large boards would sag over time, and screws would split the ends quite easily. Also painting MDF isn’t ideal, it absorbs a lot of paint. Birch Plywood would be better suited for this Projekt..

  • @DMonZ1988

    i've loved lots of your designs but i don't see much point in this. usually the idea is that a sofa turns into a double bed. this is as much a bed in sofa mode as it is in bed mode, and takes up pretty much the same amount of space however you configure it.

    • @Pipiundkakiinpipikakaland42
      @Pipiundkakiinpipikakaland42 4 роки тому

      I like the idea of a bed with lounging option. I’m more concerned about the use of a regular matress. It’s not recommended to sit on them. That’s why they don’t use them in sofas. After some time the matress will have holes in places you sit on and will be uncomfortable when you lay down on it.

    • @EricAshAdam
      @EricAshAdam 4 роки тому

      i agree. makes no sense putting down the backrest cuz its not like you creating more space for bed. you can lay on it to sleep in sofa mode just as easily in bed mode

    Build this but the whole construction is super weak. It bows down in the middle with my dog getting on it and he's about 50 pounds. Not sure how he got it to support his weight. So I'm trying to come up with a way to support the center a bit more if it's going to hold the weight of 2 adults .
