Good job! Make your life easier, Grab a condiment ketchup squirt bottle from the dollar store and make a fuel bottle. Fuel line fits over the spout pretty well, not hard to hang up with some tape and a wire and you won’t have to keep pouring gas down the supply line.

Forget all that kicking = just tow it in 2 or 3rd (250cc) = If that don't start it nothing will. If it does -keep it running as long as possible to break it in again and watch it for issues (leaks, etc). Sounds like a Honda now. You can pressure test with both sets of valves (4) closed or do a compression test.

I have a high compression piston as well. I've always just used premium and added an bottle of octane boost. I don't know if it's good enough or not but have had any problems yet. Race gas is hard to find and it's at least $8 a gallon for 110 octane, when I have found it. I don't want a ride on the hill to be 20 bucks every time I go.

Hell yeah man!!! She lives again haha. Deff stick with white. Painting the rear white is quickest and easiest way. But if you sanded the back fenders from 180 or 220 grit ip to like 1500 then buffed em they would look brand new and those lines would go away. But paint works too on a lower budget build. Stick with the white, blue seat cover. I would do bumpers red along with handle bars, footpegs, and a few more small parts red to make the red be like an accent color. Then you would have a sweet red white and blue American looking quad haha. Nice job man!!!!

The white looks good. Lot of work to bring that motor back huh! You can use a orbital sander and start with like 400 grit disks. Sand those plastics back to smooth. You gotta work up through the grits. 800, 1000, then you can buff it back to a shine. It's a lot nicer than painting.

Nice Work, Dude! I don’t know why it took so many kicks after its latest assembly & checks to fire. I’ve only known these engines to be BulletProof & never sluggish to start. it seems to idle at a higher RPM, but I’ve never had one with a high-compression piston installed. I can’t tell you how many miles I put on this type engine when I was 11yrs old to 16yrs old, but I ran mine (250 Fourtax) 300+ days a year for 5 years and Loved Her! my bff had the 250X. that’s probably why I was rooting for this machine to give in & do what she does. thanks for showing me how to restore mine, as always.
