It’s not common to see those knuckleboom rescue cranes in the US. In other countries, like Asia and Europe, most rescue trucks from fire departments or other emergency services have knuckle boom cranes attached to the back as well! Cool truck tho!
@@JohnDoe-vw4rg San Diego Fire-Rescue's LIFEGUARD Pierce with crane, I believe is only designed for over-the-side kind of cliff rescues extracting people. It is not per se a USAR rig, but is impressive no doubt. San Diego F-R does have two USAR's in the city, massive Pierce rigs (USAR-2 and USAR-44), but no crane. Here is USAR-2 responding from their newer station: ua-cam.com/video/5iXUAH0MNu0/v-deo.html
Will you ever cover those older yellow rigs that are seen behind there

Thanks for your question. We don't have any immediate plans to highlight them, but we'll take your feedback and consider it in later on. We are planning on highlighting some of our other "smaller" vehicles in future videos, so stay tuned for those!
ua-cam.com/video/xBPJm12BN5g/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/QzNOy9nTrNo/v-deo.html have full overviews of the rigs. I hope they do the same for the new ones. I'd love to see the full inventory.

Thanks for your question. Before we started the Wheels Wednesday series, we had already created a short video about US&R B; so we don't have plans of doing another video. The current video is not currently on UA-cam, but we'll be sure to upload it by the end of the month.
@ thank you very much I could swear I saw one on C and D as well but I could be wrong

@@stueyexmcfd You're welcome! There isn't a "C" and "D," but the US&R Station (Station 34) has many other smaller apparatuses that we may highlight in the future.
@ if you go back and watch the video from FF Brito I believe he highlights all 5 A, B, C, D, E, I and J But only goes through a and b and in part 2 I and j I believe
This is a badass rig!
Excellent video. Clear well articulated narration. Please keep up your excellent work. Thank you, and thank you for your service.

Awesome 👏
Very cool, I have only seen 1 other department that has a rescue rig that has a crane on it
They are truly awesome machines! Which other department did you see with a rescue rig that has a crane?
@ San diego
@@JohnDoe-vw4rg Phoenix Squad 8 had a crane on it in the early 90s.
That is San Diego FIRE Lifeguard rig. Also Oakland used to have a Crane on their Rescue 1.
Interested to see what’s on USAR B!
