A suggestion for future iterations could be to incorporate a hook lift system. By doing so, manual loading would be eliminated, and operators could seamlessly switch between different platforms. This approach, akin to the military’s system, would allow for efficient drop-offs at the scene followed by swift transitions to the next platform.
US&R C and D are both built on the Ford F550 Super Duty crew cab chassis. C is a flatbed stakeside with Tommygate lift. D is a rescue body with compartments to hold outboard boat motors, water rescue equipment, a variety of other rescue equipment and a rack to carry an inflatable rescue boat on top.
I have a question? What would happen if another unit such as a hazmat or a command or USAR, sees a different incident like building on fire, while you are on your way back to the station or going somewhere else.

If a company is finished with a call, going back to the station, and sees a fire, they will report the fire to our dispatchers and respond to it; it's their duty to respond to any emergency they see. If they are going to another call and see a different fire, they will report it and then our dispatchers will help coordinate which vehicles should respond where. Our fire dispatchers can always see where all our vehicles are, so they often coordinate which companies should go where.
@@stueyexmcfd The letters are used to internally identify the type of apparatus and are not abbreviations for anything. 'A' and 'B' are the primary response units. 'C' is our primary hauler for pulling trailers. 'D,' 'F1,' and 'F2' are specialized trailers. 'E' is the lumber hauler. 'RB34' is our semi-rigid, 22ft boat for open water.
Who outfitted USAR E? I know Pierce did USAR A and B and the hazmat unit so wondering who built it. It is a very unique rig that some regular fire apparatus companies don't usually make yet alone produce regularly. Overall a very slick and clean rig! :)
Can we pause for a sec and admire paul’s mustache 〰️ 😊

Thanks! It was Western Truck Fabrication.
@ Thank You so much! About to look them up right now.
So what's the complement of wood on USAR E and the Conex Box? Does the Conex box sit on the bed or by itself?
