I wasn’t able to talk Shadowheart down in my first play through so I killed her. This was a nice scene and I’m looking forward to being able to talk her down next playthrough
@@CsStrez i'm pretty sure that require a high relationship score with her, but i did the same, my chr is a chr for good, but she also bealives that it should be peoples own choice to do good or bad, and i did not myself know what Shadowheart would do, so i let her pick herself, 10/10 choice of Shadowheart
It’s actually HARDER to get Shadowheart to do the right thing if you try to convince her. If you choose the “say nothing” options and let things play out, unless you’ve been a complete monster Shadowheart will throw the spear away.
Turning Karlach into an illithid is her worst possible outcome. Turning into an illithid means the parasite consumes her body, and destroys her soul in the process. No afterlife for her. She is no more. Replaced by a parasite.
Selune is Shar's rival. They were the first two gods to arise after Ao created the solar system. They created the world together but they had different ideas for what to do with the world. Selune wanted there to be life and Shar wanted the world to be dead and ruled by shadow. This led to a war that has lasted since the beginning of the world. I fucking accidentally pressed right click on my mouse (WHY IS THIS EVEN A THING) and skipped this scene and my last save was too far away, good thing I found it here
@@giorgilursmanashvili6703 You'll need to head to the House of Grief, which is in the Lower City of Baldur's Gate. It's basically on the far upper-left side of the Lower City map. :)
I saved lady aylin, with shadowhearth consequently renouncing her Goddess. But, when reading in the diary, it appears that shadowhearth killed Katherick as per the orders of the Goddess Shar, with the supposed dialogue in which Aylin would reveal the secrets of the past to her simply disappeared
It skipped this for me and all of a sudden Shadowheart was talking about needing to save her parents, still a lot of bugs i see, but hopefully the game skipping it doesnt affect romancing her
You needed to force a long rest rather than going into your camp and manually resting. IF you did that, you would've more than likely not triggered the talk option. I tested this myself when I read up on this and its true. I rested normally, did not get an option. I did Long Rest via the menu in the overworld and before I even slept, it prompted "There are still people who wish to talk to you"
@@neo_childI definitely did a long rest between defeating ketheric/talking to nightsong and Isobel in moonrise tower and going into act 3 and aylin just never showed up at camp
this scene is still bugged and/or have very specific triggers, and likely not to be seen. Seems like a big part of the story and reward to miss out on for them to never fix
I saved nightsong. But I didnt get this, this part is just skipped in my playthrough and I dont get why. Cuz I got it, then I loaded to a save earlier. did NOTHING relevant to this scene and it were skipped. Im so fucking mad and annoyed.
I clicked on this video but refuse to actually watch. I just couldn't scroll past so I let my curiosity at least feel like it got something out of it by clicking xD
@@dfsgsdtedyrynreyn Exactly, not my first time with a char in the game. And it was SUCH an important dialogue imo, since I "romance" Shadowheart. Essnetial stuff, missed >_>
same here. pretty gutted as I moved on to baldurs gate thinking maybe she'd arrive at camp later but then the daughter of darkness quest moved on as if this conversation had already happened but I never got to actually see it or receive the spear 😢
I made Shadowheart save Nightsong and everything, and I even have Nightsong in my camp in Act 3, but there was NO option for this dialogue or has been no option yet for conversatiom ahout her memories, and I already [ACT 3 SPOILERS READ AT YOUR OWN RISK] saved her parents and slew the Cloister of Sombre Embrace, but that's it? Did I do something wrong? My Shadowheart still has black hair and everything.
For whatever reason, I had to use the road to Baldur's Gate to get that dialogue exchange at the next camp site even though I did try to start this conversation by doing a long-rest in the Shadow Cursed Lands. I'm certain that is the trigger.
After killing Nightsong, I had Shadowheart clear out the entire town of zombified Last Light. Everyone in doing lookout and the inn. Isobel. The merchants. Dannon. Dannon's oxen. It was a long slaughter, but she did the responsible thing and put them out of her misery herself. It took a lot of resolve, and after all that I was convicted of her destiny as Shar's Dark Justiciar. It wasn't much to sacrifice her parents; she was already the perfect killer. Way better character development than Selune's story arch.
Asinine comment. WHY would you see a video that's titled "Shadowheart learns the truth of her past" watch it, the bitch about "spoilers"? Thats completely on you if you didnt read the title and just watched it.
That feeling when your theory was absolutely spot on
We have at least 3 people who were very devoted to their gods and got completely fucked over but them, no big surprise for me tbh
Epilogue Selûnite Shadowheart was right. The most heroic thing Tav ever did was put up with her yammering on about Shar not being evil.

you are a monster that should have reload until you rolled nat 20
You can talk her down with 0 dice rolls. I just trusted her and didn't interfere.

I'm still so mad everyone had a sort of happy end except Karlach
Romanced Karlach and the happiest ending was making a family with her after she became an illithid
Wyll didn’t 😂😂😂

Turning into an illithid means the parasite consumes her body, and destroys her soul in the process. No afterlife for her. She is no more. Replaced by a parasite.
Well, you can convince Wyll as the Blade of Avernus to take her along for the adventure.
Spoilers guys! Spoilers!
I suspected as much since early Early Access
I wonder why the Justiciars wanted her, though. Just to spite the Moonmaiden? Or is there something else?
Unless I've been misinformed, Shar is indeed spiteful enough that it could easily be for that reason alone.
sure they'll be more to come. Half expect her mother to be the figure taking off the mask
It wasnt anything personal. Shar really is this petty and has a habit of doing this to followers of seluine.

That 162 HP on Karlach looks way too high, I'm at 124 ish and we're level 11. What's up?
Do you have the tough perk? +2hp for every level = +24 hp all up. If that doesn't cover it difficulty selection might be a factor
It's the difficulty.
