Thank you Goji for this. The Phantom was my first comic in about 1982, and I have adored him since then. It has alwaus been hard to get fogures of this grand daddy of the moderm superheros, but this one will be a "must buy" for me!!! Thanks for the extra info " for those who come in late "....
My introduction to the Phantom was through the Defenders of the Earth cartoon back in the day. NECA should do a Defenders box set with Ming and the heroes. Great review 👍
Excellent review video, by Gojitron, that details every good point of this awesome new Phantom figure from NECA. And it's so nice that NECA have learnt from the mistakes with their earlier Phantom figure, that was almost impossible to articulate and suffered badly from paint chipping at the joints.
I remember the Phantom from the Defenders of the Earth cartoon and comic strips in newspapers over here. This was a great review of a smashing looking figure. Love the small details on the whip.
Great review. I was getting nervous when you were posing the figure. I was expecting a snap/pop sound and your next statement would be, "Well, as you can see, NECA lives up to its reputation." But it looks like you got a good figure. NECA does do a great job with painting figures, it's the posing that has always been the problem. As such, I have hovered over some of their Godzilla figures debating whether to take the plunge or stay away. Haven't bought one yet. Again, great review. VERY thorough on a simplified history of the character. Enjoyed it.
I had to get this from eBay. I didn't get this when it first came out, because I already completed my Defenders of the Earth set except for the Ice Robot Thingy. Then I saw the reviews and realized that this fig had a lot of good things going for it. It has holsters for pistols that are more grounded in reality and a whip. He's a lot closer to the Movie version that's actually a guilty pleasure of mine. Yup. Love this version of the Phantom. However I also kept the Defenders of the earth, because it has the ring blasting effect which we also saw in the movie.

I'm a big fan of the comic strip heroes.
Had to buy this. These went so fast. Apparently some Walmarts had them on clearance at $15.
