When the dad brought out the belt and called his girls the horrible names, I had flashbacks of my abusive father. Trust me, the scars are for life. I’m 64 years old.
He doesn’t believe that he’s an abusive brute because he can also be tolerant and patient. Falling pregnant once with an unsuitable partner happens but to go on and have multiple children with the same unsuitable partner makes the mother equally culpable.
He’s abusive and possibly narcissistic. He doesn’t seem to have and empathy or true remorse for what he’s doing. He knows what he’s doing and it’s wrong yet he does it anyway. The best thing for this family will be to get as far away from him as possible
Morgan may consider that man her father, but to him, she's a stepdaughter. You can tell by the way he treats her. And her mother treats her like an extra mother to the littles.
In that house? That’s the best thing. Because dad berates and tears down the daughters, hits them and calls them awful names. But he doesn’t treat his son that way
Well the dad's excuse for doing nothing was to spend time with his son. Nobody else was mentioned. The young boy may have ended up worse than the dad. Hopefully this helped
That‘s exactly what I thought… why didn‘t the little boy appear? Also if he isn‘t treated like the girls he surely is also affected by the negative behaviours in the family….
The worst part is he already laid out the girls views of men/women and their roles. At that age everything is impressionable and it will stay with them for their entire lives.
I cried at the DVD reveal and when the dad smacked his little girl in the middle of the night when she went into their room. That's just absolutely horrible and sad! That poor baby ran off crying worse than when she came in! Oh my goodness! I am beyond mad and sad for those little girls!
I'm not saying you're wrong but imagine what she went through yk like how many times she's been invalidated or gaslighted and from my perspective he already drilled the idea into her that women should be like this and that
I think she’s afraid of him becaus you see the way he does his kids, I feel like behind closed doors he hurts her and beats her where the kids don’t see or infront of them
There's something seriously wrong with that dad...Looking at his daughter's chest, swearing at his own children (and he's supposedly "Ashamed" of it, yet makes no effort to change?), hitting and whipping his daughters, not helping with any chores, talking to everyone like they're some busted up couch, and so much more...it's disgusting. The way he smirks when he’s called out on his horrendous behavior is frightening and disgusting. His wife is as much to blame as he is because she has allowed it to continue.
If they both work outside the home, they both need to do work around the house. Split the work equally. My wife does the lions share around the house because she doesn't work, I do and I go to school in the evenings. That's a fair split for us.
