Why isn’t there a mod for a blown diffuser in AC?
Imagine the sound of those downshifts in VR, oh my lord.
There are mods though
there are mainly the scam dream cars that are strangely high quality for what the firm puts out but blown diffusers don't really work that well with AC's physics
@@WolfdogKitok no just before releasing their v8 2013 car they stated themselves that AC's physics does not lend itself too well to blown diffusers, they just give cars terminal understeer.

The end reminds me of the video where Sebastian Vettel drives the x2010 around this circuit back in the old Gran Turismo 5 days.

I've been watching a bunch of old jimmy videos and i still can't get over how good this intro is
As far as I know, the most efficient way to drive hybrid LMPs in AC is to set the mode to almost the most passive available, and then using the MANUAL deploy to keep boosting even in high gears (because for some reason all the modes available did not boost in last two gears, being useless on tracks without low speed corners). When choosing places to deploy, you prioritize the longest straights. So for example one of the best tactics I saw in an LMP race on Watkins Glen without the chicane was to boost from T1 up the hill and stop just before the outer loop.
In your case manual deploy could also help with oversteer on exits, you could deploy a bit later. This also means that you could save a bit more of battery for the last straight, because it seems that you run out of juice there.
Doing this really made me nostalgic for the old V10 noise, sounds so much better than the hybrid.

X2010 is 10yrs old now, damn
You should install the Sidekick UI mod. It saves your personal best times across sessions and gives a ton of info in a really compact layout. You'd probably find your tire pressure wasn't optimal when you switched to the softer compound.
I think as soon as 5 years from now, the majority of people won’t be able to tell the difference between high end sim footage and actual track footage. Especially if the get all the mechanical sounds and lighting to be much better. Realistic camera mode with vibrations and moisture on the lens and stuff like that.

I just watched Bottas' lap and it's unbelievable how fast you can drive around this track. I mean Jimmy's already driving like a complete madman but bottas uses legit every curb and apex to their full max, it's astonishing.
Jimmy: *Does 10 laps* "That's about as much as I can do..."
Me: *Does 50 laps* "Ok, now i'm starting to get the hang of it!"

You should be able to break harder with MGU-K recovery high actually, it adds resistance on rear axle when decelerating.

You need to short shift into 4th in the low speed corners to dull the torque and stop the wheel spin, you'll get the power down faster. You'll literally gain around 0.200 on each exit
anther great video, and one I can't wait to watch but how do you get your game to look so good?! Is there something im missing? Even with shaders and everything on high my game looks nothing like this, and neither do my lap times lol

I think it's not only down to drivers if we compare our sim lap times to the real f1 ones. Because I did the same thing in reverse once. I was about 6 seconds faster around monaco in the Michael Schumacher Jordan than the fastest lap of Senna in 1991 that weekend.
Nevermind let me correct myself real quick it was "only" 1 or 2 seconds but that still would be bloody fast.
If you weren’t already Jimmy, you also should set the MGU-H to “motor” on hot laps. The “Hotlap” mode assumes you will be running with the MGU-H on “motor” and so the MGU-K provides less than the full power since you’re only allowed 120 kW

1st because the track is lazer scanned exactly to real life, can't be 3rd because Jimmy's definitely a good driver (he says with a sarcastic acsent)

Eiffel Gp is tough. Like my stomach. But man do I ate the glitch gremlins. A good race although some concerns around at the Mercedes AMG GP team.
The Red Bull X2010 has a 3L TWIN TURBO V6 engine in the back :) its not a V10 car sadly :P just correcting you at 17:23

Something's strange, I got close to his time after only some practice and was racing with people who did laps in the 26s, with no setup
In the Ferrari 2004 I hit 1:25 on mediums and I’m no where near as good as Jimmer. The car he’s using isn’t up to snuff.
Scariest thing about that lap by Bottas was the conditions... add 15-20 deg track temp and 2 extra sessions of practice and you see how those cars really perform around this track

u can gain 2 seconds by just making the conditions anywhere from 10-17 degrees

Its insane that they drove 1:25 in these weather conditions. I think they might be able to go 1:24 easily with track temperature around 30 or 40°C. Just shows how insanely fast these cars are.
after a year of hotlapping this track the best I've ever done is a 1:28.2 in the RSS FH2021... I cannot for the life of me get under 1:30 in any V10 car, clearly I'm going the exact wrong way with setup
Also there should be some time to find with the (in game) non-existing DRS on the back straight 🤔

im not sure (i didnt watched it) but it was kinda cold on the weekend i believe ... cause it is autumn here in germany ... i saw something like 36'ish track temp on your attempt ... dont know if ac1 can be adjusted to be colder/ faster because it is colder ... i think you would be much faster in colder conditions ^^
The distance between T10 and T11 (before the back straight) is much too large compared to what it looks like on TV, probably 0.7 of a second there at least.
Seriously, Takuma Sato held the previous record? With BAR, of all teams?? During the years of the dominant Ferrari / Sir Michael combo??? That's a *little* bit like Lance Stroll throwing down a lap record for Aston Martin at Silverstone, and having it stand until 2037. I guess his two Indy wins make more sense, with that in mind. Wow.
Try the aero with 40 and 45. I managed to do a 1:25.154 with that setup
Okay. A few things. 1. There are a few corners that you need to work on. 2. Don't shoot yourself short, you are a pretty good driver, way better than most. 3. Be more aggressive on the throttle. 4. You don't have a multi-million dollar team behind you coaching you on throttle, brake, corners, cornering, etc... Again, don't shoot yourself short. 5. That was probably faster than most can achieve. 6. Enjoy.

i'm really not a fan of Schumacher but, there is a lot of pressure on Mick for getting the succession of the father. so much that if he doesn't enter F1 in the 2 or 3 following years, and does well, sponsors would quit the family and Michael (Corinna) would have to change eveything because of the money loss. his treatment bill is around 10M euros per year!
they'd have to sell a lot of things to sustain Michael's treatment. because sponsors already want to quit Michael. Mick tries to maintain them until he enters F1. if he does well, they'll stay. the strory is good points for sponsors. the son walking on father's path is selling.
IIRC Newey chose a V6 for the X2010 because of its lightness. I forget whether it's turbo'd or not but I'd assume so.

2:43 Ah yes. Schumacher's Ferrari track weapon. The F2004. Lap record of 1:29.468 for Current GP Layout. Good car. Good lap. But then, out of nowhere. Is that Juan Pablo Montoya's Williams. The FW23. Almost 11 seconds faster with minute 18.354 for the OG GP layout. And I got to say. For a Williams. That's quite a fast lap but Jimmer's on the other hand can do it faster in f2004.

How does your timer reset when crossing start line? Mine doesn't reset the 1st time I cross the start line when doing a hotlap start.
