Jimmy: "The V10 is a missile on the straight line, it always was"
2015 Wiliiams FW37: *allow me to introduce myself*
FW37 : and I took that personally
dont even get started on the 2016 FW38 💀
You need to maximise the aggression of the A.I but great video though
What made the 2015 Williams so fast?
@@slycooper4946 Combination of a good engine (Mercedes PU) and a low drag car philosophy
"I'VE BEEN SCHUMACHERED" Best quote of 2021
I'd say he's been Hameltdowned.
I was looking for that comment
Absolutely!!! I had a good laugh on that too!
*_(Damon Hill at Adelaide 1994 flashbacks)_* XD...
As he said it I dropped a Dorito and my phone so I could pick up the dorito, as I sat there eating it thinking about how it should be like quoted or engraved on his headstone. I picked up my phone and saw id been beaten
"Lord Twatington the 4th."
LOL, that was fugking brilliant, Jimmer.
"Orange livery is best livery". The thicc mint tears are flowing...
*Me, who's favorite color is orange*
me,who's a part of orange army:
there was a car with a mint livery? would love to see that
I've got a thing for yellow cars. I blame Geoff Crammond and the 1990 Coloni. If you can be #31, always be #31.
my god i felt my bones start aching when you were going through the list - in my head 40 years of F1 cars was going to start in like the early 60s but then it started in the 80s and when you got to the mid 2000s cars we still had 15 years worth left :((
Exactly, this made me feel very old 😂
Same. I saw 'Alfa Romeo' and I thought it was going to be Ascari's 1950's beast.
Yeah, I was expecting Jim Clark's Lotus in the grid. Curious to see how that would have gone compared to more modern cars.
Remember: The 90's will always be 10 years ago.
The true F1 Classics™ experience.
Just need a race on Nords' now.
YES!
This. This. THIIIIIIS!
I can already hear his tormented screaming
I remember finding your channel at like 80k Subs. I didn't notice and first and then I was like why the hell does he only have 80k. Now you're finally hitting in the Ballpark where you belong :) Keep up the Great Work Jimmer.
What’s up checkmark
Nah this man deserves millions
You don't even speak English on your channel... Checkmarks are so fucking obnoxious.
@@ballaking1000 you don’t need to speak English to be verified…
It is good to see and although ive only been about since 200k and remember it staying at 300k for a fair while but corona did jimmy well maybe another lockdown and he will end up with a million.
Can we see more multi class like this with series such as Le Mans and Gt3
Probably not Le Mans. Jimmy always get punterinoed.
Upvote lemans
mate watch stephan j bailey on twitch he does this sort of stuff
This is literally all I do in Assetto, set up grids to see which cars can beat each other in a race
@@Redrash12 I just fill up the grid starting from the Abarth, all the way upto lmp1 and f1, put myself in something like a gt3 car and let the chaos ensue.
You've outdone yourself with this one. Good stuff!
IRacing has three different Indy cars if you wanted to see them all in an oval, hint, hint
this coulve wen one way or the other
I really appreciate how Jimmy takes a mental break when he needs one and also admits this in his videos so we realise it is okay to feel bad and take a break
Absolutely!
It's OK to not be OK
The 94 Williams going off track in imola 😬
Oof! That's harsh!
Glad I wasn't the only one to see that!
Yeah and it was driven by A.I.rton...
Uh oh
Yup
Saw that
Lyrics when putting on sim racing gloves:
Gotta protect
my virginity
Gotta make sure
No girl comes near me
Dont wanna hug
Dont wanna kiss
Just wanna sit
on my sim rig and miss
The apex of
the next corner
is that song somewhere or did Jimmy make it up on the spot?
Tfw senpai notices you and you didnt even ask for it UwU
That seat is just like May's Aston Martin: performs well and needs a pillow
WHAT A GREAT IDEA!! It would be frickin fantabulous if you could get Kettle, Albon GT, Legally Blind Laddie, WTF1 big-head and other sim-racer mates of yours and do a live 2 hour race with pit-stops (fuel, tire, damage...) with everyone randomly getting a car. I'd even watch this on a monthly basis for sure!
If you guys agree with me, please THUMB THIS UP so our one-and-only Shouty Boi sees it!!
I would LOVE to see something like that.
who will win?
a bunch of plebs
or one former shed dweller?
@@KitKitChanIsaac Exactly XD
This
Absolutely class jimmer , the effort that has gone into setting this up by you & Bailey is so much enjoyed by all of us sim racing plebs 😊😊☹️☹️
this is amazing! LeMans prototypes and GT3/touring cars? Also idea for a video/long project: Hot lap all f1 cars you can get hands-on on a track to see the evolution of speed/downforce and influence of the rule changes... Happy to help with the analyses (but cant drive)
He's done this at Goodwood
Yes, this is amazing! You should totally do a series of videos out of this. Put yourself into different F1 cars and race on other tracks, if you want to of course =)
Yeah can we do this? You could even break it down by decade; even the racing out a bit while keeping the variety. Multiple videos in there for sure!
I would love to see touring cars next
Thanks for taking the mental health break Jimmer, I know first hand how important it is. Good for you mate.
Agreed 100%
Absolutely!
Love this, keep doing weird simsperiments!
Thank you Jimmy, your usage of the “blurb” noise from Scott Pilgrim has truly made my year. A crossover I simply never expected…
This was brilliant would love to see a series of this. Touring cars or DTM cars through the years would be amazing
Should do this again but with cars going back to the start of F1.
I'm loving the old camera set up, it give a jimmy vibe to the videos
"I've been Schumacher'd!" -nearly choked on my lunch
Jimmer, you're an all round sound bloke. Thank you for staying grounded through all your successes.
Also, well done for taking time out when you need to. Its brave to mention it and even braver to do something about it.
And obviously, THANK YOU for bringing this brilliant content. 7 laps wasnt enough ;) haha
Jim. Great shit. Love these videos that cover multiple eras, etc. One of my favorite ways to learn about past motorsport and what the cars were like, is to see you describe what it's like driving them.
The sounds of that field... Imagine being in the stands and hearing the different cars.
You wouldn't hear the v6 hybrids which is a big plus
@@indominusrex1652my ass
That was how F1 actually was from 1989-1997; V8, V10, and V12 all racing together. Sadly it naturally became V10 only as the teams figured to maximise points across the season you needed a balance of raw power and fuel economy rather than essentially designing a car to virtually guarantee wins Hockenheim/Monza/Silverstone or conversely Monaco/Hungaroring/Catalunya
Loved it, Jimmers. I run an AC league here in Aus and we do races which combine a heap of different cars from different championships together to go racing. Heaps of fun
I would love to see you driving GPLaps Jake´s unholy creation of a modern F1 car without downforce. Maybe around the Nordschleife? 😁
This was brilliant, Really cool to see all the other great cars and how they got on together
Jimmy: "You can blame BOSS GP for Lord Rags."
Thank you BOSS GP! Very cool!
Classic Jimmy content. He manages to provide epic commentary while having to endure the chaos of a multi class sim race. Almost as good as emoji box camper vans, lawnmowers and lego cars together in one race.
Great job Jimmer - a brilliant "what if" moment. Wonder if there is any scope to do something with Rally cars at all?
I went to watch some EuroBOSS races back in the day, they were great. Scott Mansell of Driver61 channel fame used to very successfully race a Benneton in the series. Still holds the Brands Indy lap record afaik.
Finally, visible steering wheel is back!
man that wall is actually pretty damn cool
Of course Bailey helped out, some of those cars he won championships in.
The man, the myth, the kettle
Crazy content Jimmer is fun Jimmer
Great vid jimmy. Would love to see this as a series on stream with the bois and gals 👍🏻
Wow, the sound design of these mods are insane! Hearing those 94 Ferrari and 91 Jordan were fantastic!
This is awesome. Imagine this being real, would be the deadliest racing series ever. Every car owner gets a heartattack at 'lights out'
7:15 That feeling when the '94 Williams crashed at Imola.
This was fun! Brought back a lot of memories of my childhood watching racing. You could do another one of these with the 60's ad 70's F1 around the Nordy.
Massive massive love Jimmy, the only thing i miss is the "Yis" from the old intro. Sending big hugs, you get me through my bad weeks least i can do is support you through yours
Im so glad the mental health break actually helped mate.
Love you, thanks for being here to make these times less cloudy and providing so much fun, you're great
Really happy to see the old rig back, seeing the wheel and all the inputs makes the content so much more engaging
11:25
I do think that it's fair to say that incident with the Jordan 191 is far more reminiscent of Andrea de Cesaris especially since he had been a proven "fully weaponized" mobile chicane throughout his entire career.
Also, Thank you Jimmer for all that you do putting up some of the best content on UA-cam by far. Best of luck for your racing career as well. We're all rooting for ya! 🙌
Looks like the short break did you a world of good :) This was great fun to watch!
I am glad you are feeling better, i really like it that you talk about those struggles, always take the time you need!
That was a great comparison for sure. Loved seeing this!
Love your approach to mental health and you straight forwardness about your state. Cheers Jimmy!
Had to do the same recently with a mental health break, Jimmy. Best thing you can do, so good on ya.
I discovered jimmy with these kind of videos, challenges, hot laps, strange experiments... and now he's a racing driver, his grandpa would be proud, you're amazing jimmer❤
Love this style of video Jimmer! Agree with you on the sim racing in cars you'd never get the chance to drive irl, best feeling. Some incredible sounds off this, maybe next try rallycross with different era's of rally cars?
I was litteraly just driving the rss 1990 around imola 20 minutes ago, this vid speaks to me at an interdimensional level
Been lurking here for a few years and have to say, have really been enjoying your recent content.
My head gets the better of me most of the time too, so just want to say how you have been feeling about things is only happening on your end - if that means anything!
The down patches only make the easy times more juicy! Keep at it mate, you are quite the inspiration for someone who hasn't quite found their way yet.
Williams FW16, Imola, AI that wants to SEND IT off circuit. As a Brazilian, this feels... familiar?
Loving the content and your success in life, Jimmy, keep it up!
The race was fantastic, but your commentary was BRILLIANT man! You've got the gift and the voice.
I’d be down to see this as a series like you pick a different car every time or something!
11:10 Almost like that famous Hakkinen pass on Schumacher!
This is the content I subscribed to. Epic stuff Jamble.. welcome back. "40 years of..." could be the new "How fast round the Norschleife" I would wager!
2:51 "It made me me think -- why don't I do that? There's no reason why I shouldn't. And so I have!"
H E C C yes Jimmy!! Outstanding video. Love the enthusiasm! And the 'pants on fire' commentary style gives me a nostalgia hit for shouty-drivey videos of yours from a couple years ago - so excuse me, gotta go watch a couple of those bangers now haha 😉
I remember watching you with around 8000 subs. You have only gotten better my dude... love the content
good for you to take a lil break!
1 thing i would like to see your feet cam again ( it did help me a lot to gain time )
You re the best jimmer!!!!
You should do a Group 5 Turbo Bricks vs. modern GT3 Cars, as a Zakspeed Capri recently went round the Red Bull Ring just about 1 Second slower then the modern Machinery. THAT would be awesome!!
When you have to lower the volume not to get deaf not by the different V8-12 engine sounds but Jimmers excited voice :D
LOVED this. Please do another on a different track, maybe Monza so we can really see the differences in engines!
YOU DID IT! :D
Jimmy: "Cars from the past 40 years." "We're starting in '84."
Me: "Wait, what? Oh yeah. I'm old. Shit."
V10 scream in the video
Subtitles:[Music]
Me:well you're not wrong
Just love your enthusiasm jimmer, great stuff mate, you make my day cheers 👍🍻🍻
Jimmy this was one of the best fiction races you've done. I reckon this idea could be an awesome series of videos eg:
40 years of Porsche
40 years of Ferrari
40 years of Le Man
etc etc
Very entertaining to watch mate!
definetly need more stuff like this
The MX5 pic is upside down in the frame, if you turn it around, you will be able to use the hanger on the back and not get clouted mid race
6:20 that levelcap outro music cranking up tho!
This was a cool concept and well executed! I'd love to see a little more context like rear view mirror, tires, pedals (either virtual or camera) and radar (helicorsa). Maybe even some post video editing and camera changes using CamTool 2, etc. First person view is still great IMO for watching race craft and sensing the speed, but occasionally it might be fun to see external views of the shenanigans.
This was fantastic; I was glued to it. Would be fascinating to see a good and bad car from the same period (the world needs more Andrea Moda and Lola); and I'd love to see the smoke plume and car pulling off of the mid 80s turbos lunching themselves, always kept you watching till the very end...just in case.
But seriously, it would be great to see this same grid on a range of different circuits where their various strengths and weaknesses would yield different results.
Man, I’d happily sit & watch you run a full race of this… that was great.
I always do this around Imola!
I did an entire season around tracks from different eras, so much fun
I love that Schumacher piece above your white board.
Me: "40 years, eh? That's gonna go all the way back to the 1960s, isn't it? Cool!"
Jimmy Broadbent: "We start off with an Osella from 1984"
Me: "Oh I forgot I'm old now"
That intro just said to me that Jimmy will eventually replace Martin Brundle as F1 commentator. ;)
Jimmer in the V10. The mans got taste.
"I've been Schumacher'd!" lmao
This was one of your most entertaining videos yet! I used to do this all the time on Forza Motorsport 4 back when you can choose what cars the CPU was driving, and I’d do it with everything from Mustangs to Honda Civics. Hopefully they bring back that feature someday or better yet in a better Sim racing game! But until then I’ll just have to stick to FM4 or watch more great videos like this!
That was a blast. But I badly missed Piquet‘s Brabham BMW in quali modus….
Lord Twankton the 4th
If that's not a real person, it should be. Your sense of humor is top notch. Brilliance has no ego. No matter what, keep being you
This is some good old Jimmy content right here.
Best F1 car sounds ever man, truth be told I think codemasters is feeling pretty jealous right when it comes to F1 car sounds.
Really enjoyed this video, just racing in amazing machinery
Good to see you in better spirits, Jimmer! It shows.
Didn't think of this before, gotta try this next time!
Ah, the 94 williams and the mp5-5. Definitely the two cars that come to mind when you think of those two teams in that period
This would make an awesome series, 10 teams 20 driver (teams drawn at random) 5-6 races at an historical track starting at Old track ending with a the new ones
Be yourself Jimmer! And remember, NO PUNTERINO!
Can we have this type of video but for Sportscars, touring cars etc. Watching 919’s take on a C9 would be wicked!
7:15 Nice, the 94 Williams lasted one more corner this time :D
The Jonathan Woss of Sim Racing... brilliant love it
this is the earliest I'll ever watch obe of your videos and this is my first time watching one of your videos
Really interesting concept, enjoyed the seeing the Jordan from 1991. Can’t beat the orange arrows!
Replays of all the good moves made by all cars please, with all your commentary too.
Great entertainment
