I mean it *can* but maybe not in one piece...
Also the P50 can use the elevator while the F1 car is stuck to wait on the escalator with the pedestrians.
I'd do an online race, where one person has the F1 car on the Nord(but has zero knowledge of the track and has never driven it, even in a video game), and you have the P50. Try it with damage on, and if the F1 driver crashes they have to start over while you stay out on the track. If that proves too easy for the P50, try it with damage off.
Reminds me of a classic TrackMania challenge. Pro vs noob, but the pro has to drive the track in reverse. Bear in mind that at some TrackMania tracks, merely just getting to the end sometimes takes 10+ tries if you don't know where to go.
you could just go so slow in an f1 car and still be miles faster than a peel p50, this wouldn't work unless the person driving the f1 car has no arms or legs

Yep, you just had to tilt your head a lil bit.
21:28 divided by 4 equals 5:22 per lap. That's a tall order for someone who's rusty. It's very possible and I'm sure Jimmy could've easily smashed it, but it's still quick as hell and it's not easy to concentrate that hard for 20mins straight. Props to Nate for giving it a good try.
And that's just an average ! Maybe he was going faster than 5.22 per lap, and had a bad one mostly 'cause of tyre wear ?

Great fun! What I thought you were going to do was race the Peel around the GP track vs the F1 on the Nordschleife. I think you'd get a similarly close challenge!

I love at the end Jimmy is looking for reverse in a P50. I don't think the game would animate the driver getting out and grabbing the handle at the back and lifting it to turn it around, would be funny if they did though. I live on the IOM and you do hear some great stories about the characteristics of these cars from back in the day.
There's a mistake at the end with the timer. Because the timer was counting frames instead of hundreths of seconds the final time should be 21:18.82 rather than 21:18:49

I really wanted to see the speed difference on the straight when the F1 car would be close to top speed, overtaking the P50. Or one even better a Peel P50 vs Group C Sauber C9 at something like Historic Spa or Le Mans where it can get pretty much up to 400km/h against that tiny blue cube.

@@Wiiillllson151 Got a time stamp or do I have to watch all three hours? TBH considering the hype Jimmy has given so far a dedicated vid on the downsides would be appreciated. I almost bought a PS5 so I could get GT7 but now sitting back and watching to see if PD address any of the problems that have been raised.
@@robmanueb. GT7 multiplayer is a mess. I've lost count of how many times the game has frozen/crashed. Lobbies are very unreliable. Hosts cannot change track nor can the host be changed if the original host quits. The game also does not tell the player if the race is 'in progress' before joining. Sport mode works perfectly however there are track-limit exploits being abused. I lost my A+ DR because i was being beaten by lower ranked players who were corner cutting and getting away with it. I personally don't care about single player or collecting cars. I made enough money to buy a GT3 then went straight online. I currently have about 1 million credits from winnings. I love the handling though, its SO much more engaging than GTSport. As a whole, the game has a lot of problems and annoying glitches. Do i regret spending £70 on it, not really.
Also, I have a 42" 1080p 60hz TV, yet the game broadcasts in 4K ONLY. There are big dips in framerate even when in performance mode, especially in single player. it sucks that people who are still on 1080p have a take the performance hit that comes with 4K when they could be getting 60-120fps at 1080p. It exposes how underpowered these new consoles really are for 4K. GT7 does look really good though (even on 1080p screen).
@@Luxplode Cheers for that info. I want to switch to 4K gaming, using the same monitor (TV) as you at the moment. Planning on getting a 4K screen of some sort and then upgrading either the computer of buying a PS5 to take advantage of it. I'd buy 2560 x 1440 42" TV but they don't seem to make them.
Me and some of my friends just did yesterday afternoon a race in GT7 with stock Willys at the Nurb 24h layout starting at midnight... so much fun, couldn't see anything but it was really satisfying finishing it
My favourite thing about this is that the last time i tried something stupid on the nordschleife, it was a Subaru 360 in GT5 and it did NOT perform nearly as well as this Peel P50 on the uphill. The record time in that thing was about 32mins. Thing had the torque of a loosely wound up elastic band.
This gives me an idea of what it would be like if Bernd Mayländer had to drive a peel p50 as the safety car

Assuming that you race the Mile Miglia and having seen the amount of problem at Barhain and in testing, I think you might be able to beat the entire field.
The next challenge is to take the Peel P40 and F1 car or Porsche 919 Evo around the Isle of Man TT and Targa Florio.
