Hey y’all I’m now aware of the player character is the hooded figure. Though I will say that if not for that interview with Nomura I think it was still a very solid theory lol
I'd like to point out that while Skuld is not Xenhorts mother she is likely his great grandmother likely with Ephemer. Also the player character seems to have taken in and raised Xenhort in isolation both becuase he was a decendant of his friend and that he has a similar ability to Baldr that would have likely brought about a similar fate.
@@joelsasmad this is one of those weird situations where I don’t think the scene expresses what Nomura was trying to get at. I personally didn’t get that he shaved his head here. To me it sounds more like he was messing around with the mirror since he knows the tables are turned in terms of who is in control of the situation. As for the bloodline of Xehanort involving Skuld, I do think it’s totally possible however the major problem is that we don’t know where Skuld ended up at the end of Union as we know she wasn’t with Ephemer. Well more than likely get the answer in Missing Link but there is just a lot we dong know lol thanks for the watch though
When I watched the ending of dark road I realised myself that blue robe was the player and just didn't want to believe it at first, since I thought the player was meant to be Xehanort. But when he describes his friends from his dreams he mentions Brain separately and blue robe doesn't react, then mentions the player and says it reminds him of blue robe, which blue robe is touched by. Also since he sees the player as one of the friends he doesn't see any direct connection, but rather sees them all from the same third-party perspective. The robe also seems to be a way to hide his face since the player could be either male or female, and also look like anything. I loved the video btw, thank you for giving us your take on it and I like how you interpreted it as you went rather than all at once.
So it was Luxu -> steal body of Brain -> time travel into Missing Link -> steal body of Bragi -> steal body of Braig(Xigbar) KhX Player -> Reincarnated into Kh Missing Link Player -> gets old and raises Xehanort From what I've heard (otherwise Blue robed guy would've taken the hood down I'm certain)
There was actually this theory going on for a while that Bragi was Luxu due to the name being almost the same as Braig but everyone seems to have wrote it off for being too obvious. Hilarious that it turned out to be that obvious. Strange Luxu would choose a body named after the god of poetry and known for playing the harp but I can see it considering his behavior in battle and his questioning of Xehanort.
That is very interesting… I never noticed this before and at worse it’s a very odd coincidence. Ima wait until missing link to try and make anything more of it though since it doesn’t really tell us anything at the moment
@@emrickazor2610 Missing Link is going to be a mobile game with AR functions, so kinda think of it as Kingdom Hearts Go. I don’t really think there’s a way to have that on the switch sadly. But I’m also very excited for it

I think it is more likely that the hooded figure raising Xehanorth is the players character from Union X. Makes sense to hood him since the avatar can look very different for everyone.
The popular conclusion people got from the cloaked figure's identity is that the "the player reincarnated into xehanort" reveal was a misdirection and that the perspective of the flashback is actually the blue hood. The dreams xehanort was having were actually about Ephemer and HIS friend (due to what the figure tells baby xehanort about his lineage). And that "we" believed that because xehanort was the great grandson of Ephemer, "we" could force him to be the "child of destiny" by raising him on destiny islands. When the real child of destiny was likely Riku, who was actually born on the islands. He's possibly another descendant of Ephemer, due to him initially being chosen for the keyblade back in kh1. Then, like the keyblade was eventually just given to Sora, so was the mantle of "the child of destiny". Seen as how Sora did reverse the prophecy of the darkness prevailing and light expiring in kh3.
Great video btw, I liked how you recorded each part after viewing them individually as opposed to most people who just give their thoughts after they've seen everything at once
I would really love to have Nomura go back and explore more on the keyblades chosen one concept. I love BBS however I can definitely see why the formation of formal keyblade training demystifies the keyblade. Like even if he just says that the kingdom key is unique and is the closest thing to the X-blade itself or something? I don’t know. But thanks. Going episode by episode helped create a more organic flow to the video and allow me to see if I can see where stuff it going but clearly I can be very far off lol
I don't see why anyone has to or could be the child of destiny other than Sora. I see it as a prophecy that you will fulfil, whether or not you're recognised for it, rather than a role you're gifted with the purpose to fulfil it. Thinking of it like that, the scene at the end of KH3 where Xehanort gives the X-blade to Sora is way more impactful. I think of it as the moment Xehanort realises that what he's been told as a child was wrong, and the real child of destiny was Sora all along, not because he was given the title or was born special, but because he chose to do the right thing without being told he had to.
I'm glad you liked it man and I enjoyed the hell out of it too thought it was a great story especially coming from a mobile game if this had kh3 looks and was on console wow it would have blown me away and probably would have blasted to one of my favorites along with Union cross if it was done the same justice. But I'm glad it was simplified and gave us hella answers because there's no need to always be turning upside down I like to figure out things myself and find the answers later. But yeah now people can always stop complaining about "how super complicated" the series is lol good video 💯 and keep up the work nice. I work on videos with Kai the player and we make kh and FF videos trying to find people got about 3 k on the channel of his so if you'd like I can always give you a link to his discord. @@trainerhado I think the thing that causes the situation to be confusing to a lot of people is because everyone was so sure that the player reincarnated into Xehanort that it's hard to consider the fact that that wasn't accurate. Going back to the ending of Union Cross in the scene where the player disappears it flashes forward to baby Xehanort you'll notice that the blue coated figure is also present. Basically, Xehanort being in that scene was a red herring to make you think that it was referring to Xehanort but his dreams of the kids from Union Cross are things he got second hand from being close to blue cloaked person, who is likely also the player from UX and Missing Link, just in his second lifetime.
@@edgeofultima7483 so I can see the logic in that however I personally think that the getting these dreams second hand is a bit of stretch and it makes more sense narratively for Xehanort to be seeing visions of his past life. Considering how almost everyone in Dark Road is named after Norse mythology and Baldr was killed by Xehanort (which I predicted) that makes him a Loki analogue which I find really interesting and fitting seeing how Loki has been shifted from possible Jesus figure to Satan figure.
@@trainerhado Not sure. Thor maybe? I get how that’d be weird since they didn’t really get along, for example Thor literal threatens Loki win he pranked Thor’s wife into cutting her beautiful hair. However they did end up on journeys together rather often, like that time Thor was forced to crossdress as Freyr for a stealth mission to get a stolen item back or when they went on a journey to seek out Útgarða-Loki who is a completely different character that tricked Thor into thinking he was weak using illusions. I guess you can look at it as companions drifting apart since Loki’s children did start Ragnarök with his son the world serpent Jörmungandr being the one to kill Thor. Actually now that I think about it it you can sort of apply the three that started Ragnarök to the Wayfinder trio but that’s a whole other subject.
So while yes, the out of universe explanation for the lack of crowds in the earlier titles was due to system limitations.
