Chef Ramsay?
Ithingso
Lol omg when he turned around that's exactly what I said.
Same thought bro
After over a decade and half of being afraid to paint again with acrylics...you have made me want to pick up a brush and canvas. I love your way of twaching and could listen to you allllllll day
Go for it!
As a kiwi its comforting finding a painting tutorial with a somewhat familiar voice hahaha, great video mate thank you very much
I could watch you for an hour! You are making me think I might be able to do so of these.
You can do it!
Awesome instruction of clouds and lightning!! Thanks so much☺️
That was fun, I haven't used a big brush before for dry brushing. That worked out well. Thanks.
I especialy like how good he is at communicating how to achive diffrent effects. He seems LIke the Australian version of Bob Ross
I appreciate the way you simplify things for beginners like me. Also love your humor, thank you so much for your videos.
The lightning one Ian......FAN--BLOODY---TASTIC. Thankyou. I am painting the eye of the storm and was a bit stuck. I now know what to do with the lightning. Thank you and hoo roo. :)
19:39 "it will work you just have to bloody listen alright" Lol. Love it!
Such a pleasure finding your channel today!!
I’m excited to see what’s next in the painting
Awesome ways to paint and I love the cat!
Thank you! Cheers!
I have learned soo much with your teaching technique. love love ❤️
I have looked at many tutorial acrylic videos because I want to start painting. I love everything about your videos! I would love to watch longer ones just so I can learn from you all the tricks and things of how to or what not to do. You make it so fun and I never find you boring. Hugs to you for what you do for our artistic world. I love your cat, too...I have two.
Lovely cat. You are an amazing artist.
I could watch you paint forever
"You just gotta bloody listen" I mean he's not wrong
Very nice! I enjoy seeing what Steve and Bernard are up to, thank you for teaching us!
I wouldn't mind longer videos, you are a great teacher, Learning technique
I enjoyed watching your techniques on how to paint lightning and dark clouds. Great work! Have you ever thought about painting tornadoes? That's another video I would like to see you do. 😃👌🌪
Neat painting.I'm glad the videos aren't overly lengthy and are full of vital info. Thanks for sharing your artistry.
the Gordon Ramsey of painting
Just came across this video and i thought it was him for a minute
LOL I hope he sees your comment.
He just needs to have students on camera to yell insults at and chuck their "raw" paintings into the trash, before promptly shouting
"GET THE F**K OUT"
Hell's Art Studio.
This guy is way nicer than Gordan Ramsey.
Edit: cursing
Most of us who watch UA-cam watch for hours - I usually watch several of your videos back to back - a longer video would be awesome - I learn so much from your instructional paintings. Love love love watching/learning from you!!
Hi I must agree with all those that want longer videos because we learn more, and I love love your work. The first one that I did, the other one hanging in your workplace and I was showing my friends and a lady from America bought it, but I don't know what to do about the signing of the painting, if you can help me I would appreciate it Bernadette Northen Ireland UK
People watched Bob Ross on PBS, for years... We could totally enjoy you hosting a video for an hour!
Love your work there. I would definitely sit through a longer video. Wanting to incorporate lightning using that technique into a night landscape. Thank you for sharing your talent.
I literally skipped exactly to the part where you talked about people skipping through 😂 I was only skipping around to look specifically for heat lightning, but I did end up watching the whole thing! Lovely video, thank you so much, handsome. 🥰
You're the best!
@@ianapolis - No, you 🥺💕🥰
that presentation about painting lightning was awesome. I also like the sense of humor.
Sometimes we don't want super long, lengthy videos..I think yours are already perfect the way they are
I can honestly say I really enjoying watching you paint.
I would definitely watch longer video's. I love all your paintings and watch many of them over & over.
Ian you should do the same idea but do the northern lights with the green ribbon will suit your style of blending 👏🏻👏🏻
I am a new painter and I do tend to like the longer videos with a lot of explanation in them. I find them helpful in learning new techniques, oh and I love how you do clouds. I have been struggling with clouds and trees.
I LOVE watching you paint and listening to your instruction. Being very new to painting, you are so informative! And well, Steve is just a love too!
I think your videos are the perfect length, you have a nack of spending the right amount of time on the parts that need more explanation and less time on the boring bits. Love your lessons, and learned heaps .good on ya mate keep them coming.
I agree,just right.to the point. Thanks.
Bloody Good Lightening mate!

Omg I can never do this but it’s because it’s too amazing
“It will work if you bloody listen all right??”
I liked this video a lot, wish I watched it before I started my newest painting
Wonderful
I regularly watch painting videos that are more than an hour long. Just do it, I would watch and so would many, many others. You might find that you are able to put more elements in the paintings you are teaching and become a more effective teacher. I love your work and I enjoy watching you.
Steve’s a handsome cat!
I’ve learned a lot from this. I took many elements from your artwork and put my style on it to make it my own. Thank you so much.
Looks beautiful, Ian. Thanks for teaching us another cool thing. I feel like you've solved every problem I've ever had with my paintings.

your tutorials have made me fall in love with painting! I've learned so much from you .... thank you :)
After reading a few comments, I think your videos are just about right. 30 minutes is great. I tend to get tired and lose interest after 40 or so. Keep up the excellent work! (Although, I could listen to you speak for hours! Love the Aussie accent!)
yeah i think your right most of my vids are from 15 to 25 mins long i am a bit un easy to make them 1 hour long as i too think people will lose intrest, cheer's Ian.
katiebob54 Ich habe Ihre Malerei vor kurzen entdeckt und ich bin ganz begeistert.
love it!!
awesomr Ian..Electrifying......
This old dog just learned a few new tricks! I've been painting and teaching acrylic painting for years and today we did a scene with a stormy sky, palm trees and some lightening over the beach. Wish I had seen this video before the class I would have loved to have passed on some of your techniques. Next time... Any way my cat Tara (terror) sends Steve her best. They could almost be twins. Oh Yea, This video could use a bit more volume, a bit heard to hear for these old ears..
Lovely tutorial!!! I was looking for tutorials on painting lightning and none of them were really simple and understandable to follow along with. Thank You!!! :D
This was so helpful!!!!
Planning to paint in my channel too.. But i'm a begginer.. Your tip are great.
As always you make it look so easy! love your work!
thank you katie
Love the cat
This was a very easy tutorial! Thank you for helping
Glad it helped!
Thank you! Strangely; I’m going to use the lightning tips to help me paint up a gaming miniature 28mm model.
