This is really cool Casey, How easy are those mats to clean after each use?
they’re not too bad i usually use them up to three times. It’s easy for the kids to manage them this way. If they over water we just dum out, and they get a kick out of cutting them without the mess of spilling soil
We have been growing sprouts from seeds for over 50 years. It is pretty common.

I’ve been wanting to grow micro greens & I have no clue why I haven’t been doing this already. I like the idea of not having to use soil. I wonder if you could use those coco choir things that you use in hanging baskets? Experiment time lol
I’m not sure, but if you experiment and try it, let me know!! That would be cool, and i’m pretty sure that material is less per sq ft

Hi Casey! As always such an educational video. I will have to try the hemp pads for my micro greens. I have a question about what range of temperature does your greenhouse have in the the coldest part of winter? What is the lowest temperature you allow before the heat comes on? Do you keep all the plants off the ground during this time? Thanks so much for sharing!
Our greenhouse is kept at 62, the only thing on the ground are mainly established plants and large trees. Once we start seeding it goes up to 68. The heater doesn’t kick on on sunny days. When the sun is out, it naturally heats up and can hit anywhere from 70-85 degrees. I have to crack the upper opening of our door on sunny days to allow some of the steam out

I actually use them a few times. It takes a little work, but i remove the old plant material. You won’t be able to move it all. It’s worth it because it saves money.
Once cut, are they done?
yep that’s why succession seeding is best with micro greens
