Totally agree with you 💯 !! This is one of the songs (and videos !!) I could hear/watch day by day !! Simply a great song and great musicians as well !! 🎶🎤🎸🎺
This song came out in 1981 and it still holds up. It's a smooth upbeat jazz song that you can play at any time and the whole room or gathering would be at ease. Phil Perry brings this song to life with his soulful voice. Thank you Lee Ritenour and Thank you Phil Perry
I was 11 years old when this song came out. I didn’t hear it for the first time until nearly my mid 20s. It was so infectious. Yet so utterly understated in the way it did it. I am laying in bed this morning now at the age of 53 and UA-cam recommended it after many years again of not having heard it. It moved me to tears. It’s just that good. Thank you for reading and I hope today brings you special memories and one particularly outstanding thing to happen in your life. ❤
As I listen to this masterpiece from 1981, it's amazing think this was actually on contemporary radio, on the actual Billboard Top 40, and was being listened to by millions of young people in 1981 from ages 15 to 30. The level of musicianship, songwriting, and performance is truly off the charts (no pun intended). No nudity, hos, n-words, c-words, b-words or any other insults and nudity required here, in order to get your point across as an entertainer/musician to an audience. Imagine that!! A big thank you to Lee Ritenour, Eric Tagg, and all the great musicians who contributed to this track and performance. Enjoy! Cheers, Sam.
I wouldn't say he's underestimated at all. Lee's always been a very respected guitarist, first as a first-call session player (starting when he was 17), and then as a solo artist for many decades.
