Problem with FSR is that the frames generated aren’t even actual frames & what I mean is those filler frames made by the AI from FSR are just that, filler. New information or what’s happening in game won’t be reflected in those filler frames, and each time you’d normally dip in fps around certain areas, you’ll get more AI generated frames, which will increase your input lag like crazy. Also, FSR is unreal engine 5’s kryptonite at the moment as it constantly causes the game to crash. If you really wanna run FSR, put a 60-120fps cap, put reflex low latency “on + boost” and ofc full screen your game. It’ll help with input latency, keep the game smooth, and it’ll reduce the amount of times FSR will make a crap ton of AI generated frames which = less input latency when you need it the most 👍🏻. If it’s blurry, put your sharpness to the max
If you still prefer to use WIndowed Fullscreen over Fullscreen exclusive, at the very least enable G-Sync(If your monitor supports it) for Windowed Fullscreen in the NVIDIA Control Panel under the G-Sync menu. It is enabled for Fullscreen only by default. Also, note that using FSR on an NVIDIA card will have you crashing out of the game a bit more often. The alternative is using DLSS with Performance, DLSS sharpness on zero, and Post-Processing Sharpening at 200. (I recommend this for all NVIDIA cards below 4000 series if you crash). The reason why 4000 series should always use DLSS anyway is the Frame Generation technology (which is 4000 series only with DLSS). Do not use Frame Generation on FSR if it gives you input lag.
So would you recommend DLSS with those exact settings for my Nvidia 3070ti? Currently I’m using TSR and it fixed the crashing issue I had with FSR but my frames are poor (25-45)
Quick tipp: i crashed 5 times in a row with FSR/DLSS enabled and lost my stuff, went back to TSR - AA to Epic, enabled G-Sync, my frames went from 120 to 60. The game looks better, feels better to play for some reason?! And the best thing, i haven't crashed once. If your PC is some High End PC, get rid of FSR and DLSS (DLSS only for 40 Series)
@@Daniel_W..I can confirm TSR was able to drastically improve my crashing problem. But my frames are noticeably down, I’ve got a 3070ti and only get 25-50 FPS
