I very much agree with this. I’d love to hear more of what he sounds like. My best guess of what he sounds like right now is a combo of the “Firebutt Peppino” noise and the “WA-HOO!” and “Pizza Time” from the title screen music. Maybe we could get a sound clip similar to Wario’s “EXCELLENT!” where Peppino goes “VERY-A-NICE!”.
I really like how this game's shaping up. The platforming's tight and creative, the spritework is incredibly goofy and charming, the music's great as always (shoutout to the homie Frostix) and it looks like you're always trying to add more depth to the gameplay. The toppin warriors were a genius touch in my opinion and i really enjoy how you're trying to incorporate more grabs in the gameplay, it would be fun to see them get more variety. The only thing that bothers me is that peppino just stands in a white void during the end card, but i'm nitpicking. Great work as usual.

yes, noise is gonna have miniboss fights in certain level like the christmas demo. Miniboss are gonna be simple but shaped more like straight foward boss fights than time trial levels like the dragon.
what do you have in mind for the noise? a frenemy p2 character, recurring boss, grand manipulator and defiler of the noble art of pizzamaking or something of the sort?
What if the cheese dragon had a large chunk of it melt away when you hit it? Also the existence of a cheese dragon implies there could be other ingredients of dragons, does it not? Mushroom dragon, tomato dragon etc.

As development goes on, I'm finding that it becomes harder and harder to follow what's on screen for me. I feel that some of the effects and particles make the scene way too busy.
@ I was thinking of line weight and color saturation to fake depth and how the different layers of the game are not distinct enough, but that swirly effect is disorienting too.
May I suggest something? I think that the line thickness in Peppino’s result sprites could use some variation. Have them taper and become thicker in some areas.

They hosted a scream contest and the best screams were added to the game as rare sound effects when killing enemies (and the Fire scream was also from that contest)

The dragon should probably ambush you throughout the entire level and not just certain parts of it. Also it would be cool if we got a pepperman race boss
I don’t really like the toppin warriors because they’re too big compared to the player and I’m afraid people will get mixed up and have a lot of unnecessary deaths

To fix the void, it'd be nice to have an animated background pattern that appears when Peppino turns around and it changes according to the score.

I guess that this works like a twisted version of Snick's Challenge, but with the timer actually linked to the horrifying thing.
I really love the design and music of the level. I especially love that one enemy that looks like that giant pillar.

yes, noise is gonna have miniboss fights in certain level like the christmas demo. Miniboss are gonna be simple but shaped more like straight foward boss fights than time trial levels like the dragon.
