Someone pointed out before, the coolest thing about P rank is that in spite of it's difficulty, you can still make mistakes and not have it be a frame perfect situation as with many others platofmers. This game is great!
For those looking to play the game and have no idea what's going on in this video: • Pizza Tower has a letter rank system (D, C, B, A, S, and P, from worst to best) that the player is granted for each level based on how many collectibles you collect • There is a combo system; killing enemies increases your combo, and it expires after not killing any other enemies - however, grabbing any level collectibles restarts the combo timer • Every level offers a "Lap 2" that takes you back to the end of the level, requiring you to make your way to the start a second time • A P rank is obtained when you don't lose your combo from the moment you killed the first enemy, obtained the majority of the level's collectibles, and completed lap 2 in that level
@@TheMISTIK2000 You actually dont need toppins, however their 1k points make them almost a necessity. For exemple in war you can skip some toppins and still get a p-rank (there is a video of someone doing war p-rank without all toppins somewhere)
Also, in Boss Fights it's a little different if you get hurt 0 times you get a P Rank if you get hurt 1-2 Times you Get a S Rank if you get hurt 3-4 times you get an A Rank and the same goes on for every rank up to d
No, seriously. This game is definitely a GOTY contender. It's been so long since i've sincerely enjoyed playing games. and this game managed to do that.
Wario Land 4 is one of the main inspirations for this. As someone who considers Wario Land 4 to be their favorite game, this is worth checking out for fans of that game
yeah sorry to break it to you but on the steam updates they pretty much said "yeah no we arent planning to release this on the switch any time soon" so unless the team decided to change their minds about it then your never seeing this on a switch
Man I’ve been working through the game again to get P ranks and they always feel impressive to pull off and my heart is RACING on those Lap 2 runs. Game is one of the best platformers ever made.
This looks like an awesome but under appreciated cult classic that would have first launched on the Sega Genesis circa 1994 and gotten a beloved deluxe edition on the Gameboy advanced in 2002. Crossing my fingers it comes to the Switch!

This is like Wario with Samus's speed boost, shinesparking all over the place with an insane early 90's Ren & Stimpy-esque look 😂 the top speed animation is mind boggling
The best part about this run is that it's flaws make it better, you can see a greater variety of animations and abilities. If you watch the speedrunners, they go so fast and cut all unnecessary movement that watching that gameplay becomes really boring.

Depends on the stage. Crust Cove, or War, super fun to P rank. While on the other hand you have stages like bloodsauce dungeon, or surprisingly enough, fun farm.
@@oxob3333 that's actaully the easiest one to P rank, since you mostly need to remember the stage that's not too hard to forget and be fast enough with both combo and timers And the fact that the level is designed to basically ask you to just finish it, since it's the only level aside from "The Crumbling Tower of Pizza" that doesn't have a "Go back to where you started" section
@@mindkiller10000 WAR isn't even hard to p rank, you just need to go fast. Everything is in your way, so it's hard to miss any secret. Same goes for keeping combo, it's not very hard to do with how linear the level is

It is the first level, after all. P ranking this and P ranking a level from later in the game like Oregano Mirage, Peppibot Factory, or Pizzascare is a different experience.
alright, not bad for a first stage. just a few tips: by doing a grab dash and pressing down lets you get mach 3 speed in an instant, letting you speed through obstacles with a bit more ease. (example, no need to turn in a mach run into the third secret @ 2:19, or having to risk get damaged by the fork knight @ 3:51) using your grab dash to cancel out of a mach run sounds counter-intuitive, but saves you bumping into or climbing walls when you just want to go downwards. (like the vertical portion during the escape sequence) when you try to mach run right after tossing an enemy, peppino is still a bit slippery from the recoil, so it helps to dash forwards to get your mach run back on track. IM NOT GONNA SUGARCOAT IT. did you know that you can block and parry any projectile or damage by pressing [C] before getting hit?
For anyone that’s struggling with P Ranking this level thanks to THAT one particular Forknight by the end, don’t even bother ram into it, slowly approach the bastard and parry him to hell, or use your super taunt to get him because he deserves it, mf out there destroying entire P rank attempts by himself
It might seem like it because of the level structure with the escape section, and also the character design, but the game feels way different when you're playing it, I'd say it's even closer to Sonic Rush than Wario Land 4
@@CableSpark872 yeah. In early betas it was definitely a clone of wario land 4. Now it's more of a cross of wario land 4 and sonic. Antonblast is definitely closer to wario land 4

It's not just the majority of the level's collectibles, it's every collectible. Toppins, secrets and treasure.
