I think heat meter should definitely be relegated to an optional thing especially because of the extra payout you get for using it, it just kinda lends itself to that

In some regards I still prefer the old Combo system. In the final game, getting the highest combo for each level is pretty very easy to solve outside of a few instances like Fun Farm, Don't Make a Sound, and I guess kinda Pizzascare. That said, speaking from experience, the old Combo system can get really tedious when you're aiming for really high scores because of the precision needed and at times really slow paced gameplay. I'm honestly not sure which one I prefer, I feel like the old Combo system has a bigger sense of discovery and puzzle element to it, but that isn't entirely discarded with the new combo system, because the idea is that when you get better at the game and route it, you can collect everything at faster speeds, but this is still an aspect of the old Combo system, too.
Ayy the heat meter is back, and with pallet swapped enemies too. Id recommend adding the ability to turn off the heat meter but still great to see it back.
Yea, you could have a toggle like Darkest Dungeon did for enemy corpses. It's an interesting risk-reward system, but it'd definitely be good to make that a choice on the player's part to engage with it.
It's honestly super fascinating to see just how much these levels changed with time. City became The Pig City, Factory became Peppibot Factory, Kids Party became Don't Make A Noise... it's also super neat to see just how much the boss fights changed, going from a more "Punch Out" like experience as said by Pizza Tower Guy to something more akin to Wario Land 4, where you need to learn an enemy's gimmick and fight around that, like with the Vigilante giving you a gun or Pepperman's odd attacks.

The Heat Meter is a mechanic that I can see having a lot of potential... but maybe not on normal mode. It's too easy to raise the heat, and that kinda breaks the casual flow of the level. If I wanted to Speedrun through a level to get all collectibles and a good time, I would still like it to be manageable, even for a more casual player. Make it a separate mode, maybe you can do it with an oven to "turn up da heat" in the level or something, maybe lock it behind some secret ingredients or something, I dunno. But on normal mode, make things constant, manageable and more easily predictable. Then, players can turn up da heat to shake things up for that hot, sweet W Rank! I also like the line up of levels we're having, and the boss battles seem pretty cool too. Cool thing to see you using a 1v1 approach. But what does that mean for the Cheese Dragon Boss, for instance?
I still think the movement and combat was perfected back in the strongcold demo days but if the heat meter makes it into the final game it should be an option for veterans

I feel like maybe things are getting too combo-oriented and the whole "Wario land" aspect is being replaced by Side-scroller beat-em ups. Maybe Boss fights like Wario land Shake it; designed to specifically test the player on skills they would have needed to learn throughout the game, could be applicable for the bosses here.
Idea: Dark Peppino Peppino is delivering a pizza but an evil purplish clone appears to stop him. Can you make it to the end before he takes out your pizza? This was mainly inspired by the cosmic clones from Mario Galaxy
Wow not a Bad idea... I think fake peppino it's perfect for that kind of levels, after all he mímics all of peppino move set and could be perfect for either a race (super Mario galaxy style) or he follows you copiyng every move that you do (Rayman and super mario galaxy 2 Styles)
Interesting to see that a lot of darlings have been killed during this games development but it still has an immense amount of variety in its full release
It would be a real mamma mia moment to lose such amount of points and combo if that were to be implemented (the heat meter should've been reused it in hardmode difficulty option if McPig thought of that during development).

PTG, your game is phenomenal. I do have criticism for the culinary musicians however. Don't get me wrong, the soundtrack is amazing. I just think it could be better. Ok so in my opinion. The music is a little turdish. Sauceman is fantastic don't get me wrong, but frostix could do better. I understand how Frostix makes his music. He adds a lot of 7th and 11th chords with some minimalistic instruments. He doesn't focus on the mixing which I think can really complement the soundtrack. I have an archive of the FLPs he had and he only had a couple of plugins to complement the songs. I am not mad, I just think his music could be better. That's all. Sauceman is terrific. Musical genius with terrific mixing. Complements to both chefs (Frostix and Sauceman) don't get me wrong. I think one of the big differences between the two is when you compare theatrical mischief to theatrical shenanigans. At the beginning shenanigans had a minimalistic vibe. He later updated the song to be much more funkadelic. Compared to frostixs version it feels a little minimalistic. All in all, frostix's music is good, I just think it could be better. These are cool, I like the kid’s party level, it sounds pretty cool. I also like that most of the updates have been through patreon and stuff because I kind of want to like, be super surprised when I play.

That's the case according to the wiki. Seems that Mr. Stick and Pizzaface will be the only bosses that won't be unlocked as playable characters. Also according to PTG, Pepperman will only be playable in the freezer level which sucks but at least we get to play as the sexy pepper.

I think you should have a mix of on the clock bosses with the rangers and full on Punch-Out matches. Maybe have the final boss be a hybrid of boss styles?

Heat meter will be obnoxious to deal with. Less skilled players like me will probably end up hurting themselves on purpose in order to keep the game manageable.
I like to see Cheesy Peppino is back! I just hope all the crazy new mechanics are introduced slowly over the course of the game. Seeing them all at once is always a little brain-melting :v
it basically makes enemies harder the more angry you are, and if youre playing casually or are a beginner, it can be frustrating especially in early levels in areas with a ton of enemies, i do like the concept behind it though, i want it as a toggleable mode or secret or endgame mode.
Awesome! Now there are things I like about this such as the escape only collectibles, Gerome, .Along with the heat meter being only on hard mode (which you can turn on or off). Also maybe the fighting moves could be an optional thing to turn on and off but necessary for the boss battles. Also keeping up the combo is a bad idea for a W rank. Maybe the W rank requirements are to beat 80% of the enemies, and collect all of the collectibles, without getting hit once. The mort transformation should be changed back, since feels more like a power up than a transformation (Now there is no problem with power ups it’s just that if the power ups replaced used transformations than there is a problem). For freezer the temperature should only go up when you touch something. Also the game feels less like a Wario land inspired game, and more like a beat em up platformer. (Have I mentioned the impact effect when you hit an enemy? Get rid of that.) also enemies like Cheeseslimes should die in one hit! Form anything! Along with Forknights and anything else unless it is specific to that enemy (such as Shrimp thugs, and cardboard tanks.). Edit:Thank you for making the many problems optional. But some like the hit stun. Enemy’s death usually being one hit (Cheeseslimes, Forknights). AndCombo works for the W rank are still too strict (see above) Gerome, I love the idea. And the use of animatronic Peppino is a fair degree since the transformation is scrapped and most likely won’t come. So things are better. But still some small changes, such as Mort being a transformation and a rooster character as the throwing mort power up. That would solve most of the problems but somethings are good.

The heat meter might work well as like a new game+ sorta thing or something you unlock when you beat the game
Heat meter will be obnoxious to deal with. Less skilled players like me will probably end up hurting themselves on purpose in order to keep the game manageable.

Aside from talking how much the bossfights have changed, i actually would love that noise could taunt during his bossfight, a really great detail.

Haven't played Pizza Tower yet, why are you people so bothered by the heat meter? All the feedback has been good up until this moment
it basically makes enemies harder the more angry you are, and if youre playing casually or are a beginner, it can be frustrating especially in early levels in areas with a ton of enemies, i do like the concept behind it though, i want it as a toggleable mode or secret or endgame mode.
Not sure how I feel about the level changes, but we'll see when the game comes out.
Awesome! Now there are things I like about this such as the escape only collectibles, Gerome, .Along with the heat meter being only on hard mode (which you can turn on or off). Also maybe the fighting moves could be an optional thing to turn on and off but necessary for the boss battles. Also keeping up the combo is a bad idea for a W rank. Maybe the W rank requirements are to beat 80% of the enemies, and collect all of the collectibles, without getting hit once. The mort transformation should be changed back, since feels more like a power up than a transformation (Now there is no problem with power ups it’s just that if the power ups replaced used transformations than there is a problem). For freezer the temperature should only go up when you touch something. Also the game feels less like a Wario land inspired game, and more like a beat em up platformer. (Have I mentioned the impact effect when you hit an enemy? Get rid of that.) also enemies like Cheeseslimes should die in one hit! Form anything! Along with Forknights and anything else unless it is specific to that enemy (such as Shrimp thugs, and cardboard tanks.).
Edit:Thank you for making the many problems optional. But some like the hit stun. Enemy’s death usually being one hit (Cheeseslimes, Forknights). AndCombo works for the W rank are still too strict (see above) Gerome, I love the idea. And the use of animatronic Peppino is a fair degree since the transformation is scrapped and most likely won’t come. So things are better. But still some small changes, such as Mort being a transformation and a rooster character as the throwing mort power up. That would solve most of the problems but somethings are good.
