Extremely thankful to TRY for having me on this shoot because I discovered Bulleit bourbon!! IT'S SO TASTY 😋🥃
Kentucky is a limestone region to answer your question!
Try their barrel strength! It’s so good.
And you're so awesome!
Bulleit Rye is a winner too if you want a little spice and tingle in your whiskey
And it’s not expensive. I picked one up at Trader Joe’s for about $24.
I’d like to thank Ciara for all her emotional support and boss bish bourbon guidance throughout this shoot! 🙌🧡✨
Aww, I loved you in this shoot Shannon! Just loved you!!!

Hearing that as an American: 🤨
Driving through Kentucky is a pain... with all those pesky bison in the way. The only relief is that you can stop on the way to grab some KFB.
For the UK folks, the distance from Kentucky to Buffalo territory is *twice* the distance from Dublin to Paris. America is BIG.
For you: Ireland isn't in the UK.
Except for the parts around Belfast. Much to the dislike of the Irish.

I wish y'all would come to Kentucky for a visit. My great granny was Irish and when we'd go to Keeneland for the horse races she always said Lexington, Ky reminded her of home. Add to the fact that they're are about 5 bourbon distilleries within 5-10 miles of the races made it heaven. She was 95 the last time we went to Woodford distilleries and drank us all under the table! Feckin' LEGEND!
I only lived in Kentucky for a few months but your spot on. I could totally see the Irish influence there, I've never been to Ireland or the UK but Keeneland, the horse farms and bluegrass remind me of what looks like the British islrs

Would love to have you all at Churchill Downs and then take a Bourbon tour across the state
I want to visit, but i am a recluse and have not left my city since 2005. I love bourbon, though, and have watched all of the online tours of different kentucky distilleries i could find. When drinking bourbon, i think of how europeans brought what they knew about whiskey making to the new world, how methods were refined and altered, and how geographical locations provided favorable results in the end product. I think of how a charred oak barrel provides color, aroma, and a memorable taste.
I love the southern US accent attempt…guess what? everyone who is not from the south in US does it too 😂
And believe it or not, the accent isn't limited to the south. The North Country of NY has quite a hefty population of people who you'd swear were from Alabama. Proof that it's not a southern thing, but a country thing. Lol

To the girls' question at 6:02, yes there is a high concentration of limestone in Kentucky. Some people claim that the limestone content in the water is what gives Kentucky bourbon its unique flavor. Incidentally, limestone is a very soft rock that erodes easily in water. That's why Kentucky has such extensive cave systems, including its most famous: Mammoth Cave National Park.
You are correct. Most Kentucky bourbon makers use High Bridge Spring Water from a natural spring in Wilmore, KY.
The limestone in the soil is also what gives the grass a slightly bluer color - hence Kentucky is the Bluegrass State.
And a rich history of pioneers
Which is also the largest known cave system in the world!
Limestone is also why New York city’s pizza and bagel dough is so delicious
As a Kentuckian born and raised i absolutely love watching people of other drinking cultures enjoying Kentucky Bourbon.. I hope everyone who reads this has an amazing day.

If these people represent the Irish, I want to hang out with the Irish.
In 1993-95 I was stationed at Ft Knox Kentucky. My wife and I bought a home in Bardstown about 25 minutes from my work. Over half the bourbon made in America comes from Bardstown. The next time the Try Channel comes to the United States, the trip should include a tour of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. It only 20 miles but has over 30 distilleries, Ciara is already a Super Star in Kentucky.
Ciara can down a glass of crude oil and be like, “ohhh that’s lovely”
"It's like it's saying, 'I'm still here'"
Fear the Ciara. She will drink our candy asses under the table and not break a sweat.

Ciara once downed a glass material from The Chernobyl incident... her response “Oh that’s lovely. What a unique taste”

Ciara's smile after drinking Buffalo Trace and Bulliet was perfection.
These people make me want to live in Ireland.
We need to get an American group together to try the Irish, Canadian, and other whiskeys! I'd be down for that!
We drink the shit out of that stuff in the US though. It may be hard to find enough people.

1792 is my favourite because it’s so smooth. Glad you enjoyed it too! Btw, Kentucky is known for its limestone...good for bourbon (bourbon can only be made in Kentucky), good for fast horses and beautiful women. 😉
I actually laughed when Ciara asked that question. Many Kentucky distilleries and even Jack Daniel's (which is in Tennessee) love to mention how their water goes through limestone.

She also seems like she is a lot of fun to drink with. Imagine that conversation after a few more drinks :)
Nothing better than listening to Irish folks getting hammered :)
The whole scotts trying on a southern accent was hilarious... Cmon yall! Bourbon is a sipper. The slower you drink and the more you get on the nose the better the experience. Gotta let the bourbon do a little salsa on the tongue before you go for sip two. Gotta get acclimated with the bourbon.
Pro tip when drinking whiskeys neat inhale slightly as you sip the alcohol fumes hit your throat first and reduce the burn from the liquid. It also allows you to taste more of the subtlety in the whiskey . Don’t hold it on your tongue just inhale sip swallow. This is why whiskey drinkers never seem to be bothered by the burn whilst non whisky drinkers say things like “it just tastes like burning”
Adding a drop or two of water can (key word) can open up the flavor of a lot of whiskies but not all sometimes it makes a good whiskey really fucking awful.
Contrary to belief this isn’t watering down don’t mix the water just add the drop what it dies through the magic of science is force the oils in the whiskey to coagulate and brings them right to the top so you are getting a big taste of all the flavors but remember a little of char or wood or whatever can bring out nice familiar flavors but more doesn’t always translate to those flavors remaining and what might be a nice hint of vanilla or nip of spice can turn into just a mouthful of weirdness.
God bless this comment! Thank you for the culture

Has a lot to do with how the distribution works and taxes/tariffs. Small producers won't bother exporting and larger producers that do export will pass the cost on and take advantage of the lack of quality competition to upscale what we would consider a well alcohol. Stuff like Pappy is hard to get domestically and unheard of in most markets around the world.
@M PW Well pappy 23 is like $5k a bottle lol. That’s not exactly fair. I know a place here in TX that has it…$250 for 2oz. I always have some Buffalo Trace on hand though.
